In her youth, Sinead had such an apparent innocence and demureness glossing over the power of her singing, her great voice. Over time, she didn't necessarily harden, but her losses and her suffering certainly changed her softness. We stand by her through thick and thin and share her grief and the weight of her burdens.
Her true sadness was she both loved and hated her mother, and in not closing that wounding she carried grief .. Its what really changed her look of innocence .
I was familiar with Sinead and found her intriguing back in the early 90's, but never listened to her albums until now. Wow! I love "The Lion and the Cobra", it's great and still holds up. Since her death, I've read articles and watched many videos about her beliefs and her life. I've been so taken with her...what an incredible woman! RIP Sinead ❤
Nov of '21, found "I Do Not Want..." on cassette at a thrift store. First time listening any of her albums and had to catch up on everything she's done. Incredible artist.
Farewell, Sinead O'Connor Her haunting voice and raw honesty brought her adoration from the world, while the unapologetic mirror of truth she held before us outraged the masses who couldnt handle it. She reminded us that vulnerability can be a strength and that it is OK to question the status quo. Her legacy of courage and authenticity will forever inspire. Rest in power. ✊🏻🍀
You can see that up close she is rather fragile, shy and insecure. However, once she opens her mouth to sing....something divine takes over. She was born to let it out...even if it cost her. And it did.
Sinead, an Angel sublime and haunting in voice, strong and determined, something to say, words of steel and willow, infused strands of love and purpose, forever with gratitude in our thoughts. The nay sayers are quiet, embarrassed by their judgement and mockery.Your voice is ringing loud as church bells, echoing bravery and truth, unconditional divine love. Rest easy, in heavenly joy and slumber. God bless you.
This is a fine example of an interviewer who has a list of questions to get through and who pays no attention to the answers received. Her answers indicate a lot of thoughtfulness and reflection on her part.

I'm Armenian and Irish 🇦🇲 🇮🇪 (from USA). I've always felt some kind of deep connection between the two culture, though they are far away from each other... a great deal of suffering over many centuries, both experienced genocide (mid-1800s, 1915)... both peoples have so much warmth. Looking at Armenian khatchkars and Celtic ornamental design -- very similar!
In this heart lies for you A lark born only for you Who sings only to you My love My love My love I'm waiting for you For only to adore you My heart is for you My love My love My love This is my grief for you For only the loss of you The hurting of you My love My love My love There are rays on the weather Soon these tears will have cried All loneliness have died My love My love My love I will have you with me In my arms only For you are only My love My love My love
This should've been played at dear Sinead's funeral, so apt for her and her Shane xXx I have such a lump in my throat listening to lovely Sinead singing, knowing she is no more on this earth. R.I.P. to you both ❤❤
Jools Holland, I think you are the greatest musical host and created THE most important showcase for music in history, second only to Soul Train (which I've no doubt you'll agree with). Sinead, you were one of the most important artists ever, and I hope that - much like Richard Penniman - history will do you justice.
Você foi incrível e extraordinária neste plano. Agora você está em paz com seu menino e na proteção de Deus. Será sempre lembrada pelas tuas músicas. Vou te ouvir e amar sempre minha rainha da Irlanda Sinéad O'Connor . Adeus 🕊🙏
She looks like nothing like Audrey Hepburn. I don't understand these silly pointless comparisons. And she's a great artist. More than "gorgeous" to look at.
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. Sinéad looks fantastic here. One of my all time favourite songs rendered live perfectly. Thank you so much for posting this! Check out her new album, Theology. Sounding more mature but the magic is very much still there.
Sinead Slow train coming. Thats what the media did to u rare talent we were at your funeral in bray Ireland co wicklow sinead my heart is broken 💔 ur our warrior . U had bob marley singing out at the funerak procession sinead irish hearts are broken but your at peace now with shane. U saved my life under catholic disgusting preists when i escaped magdeline laudries in 1992 when u ripped up the pope. That day my head was shave and i was free. Irish warrior ull never see anywhere in the globe. Thanku sinead thanku u for giving yourself to us.
Reverence of Bob Marley... no-one mentions this (below). She makes a salient and highly accurate comment on the shared experience of Irish and African people, which she (to Sinéad's enormous credit) has made throughout her whole career...
so often the material plane bypasses or overlooks certain events. but in the witnessing, acknowledging, and voicing of those same, are they kept real, (recordings help too. But as we know, even those can be altered). FairPlay girl, hup!
I can't get over how many times she keeps on stroking her non existing stray hair from her left ear. A sign of insecurity. And that's why I love how painfully shy yet such an astonishing woman she is.
I sometimes wonder if people from countries like the USA, who are more used to unaproachable pop stars have any idea how down-to-earth Sinéad actually was. I come from the same town as Sinéad and it was normal to see her out and about, at the grocery store or just walking somewhere. She would sit in her front yard during the covid lockdown and chat with people just passing by. She was totally unassuming and would acknowledge your 'Hi Sinéad' with a Hi back, just like any other normal person. Nobody bothered her for autographs or such nonsence. Suaimhneas síorraidhe a Shinéaid, beidh tú i n-ár gcroidhe go deo na ndeor. Ní bheidh do leithéid ann aríst. Ba fhíor Ghaedheal thú. Go dtreoraidhe na déithe thú a Shinéaid. Go codladh tú go sámh. 🇮🇪😢
She’s shy, but not and gorgeous and I can’t help but idolize her like a fan girl even after she’s gone I know she was very flawed amidst her many wonderful traits I am hoping and praying the Lord took her soul to a much better place. ❤❤❤
me too i love her ..all her style..i still love her after what we discovered recently ..i dont care...she looked like an angel..with an amazing voice....God that voice...love her too...

Beautifully, perfectly said. Thanks you.
We all come from that innocent, demure place. Her softness never left, imo.
Sufferings and losses take a toll & alter us ( all ? ) .... particularly the more sensitive, empathic among us .....
Well said 👏
Her true sadness was she both loved and hated her mother, and in not closing that wounding she carried grief .. Its what really changed her look of innocence .
I cant take my eyes off her, shes incredibly beautiful but look so humble and full of integrity my goodness. Thats without getting in to her voice ❤
Totally agree with you - nailed it right there. She was astonishing.
She was just gorgeous! Inside and out.. so sad😢
Same here
My love beautifully done
I gorgeouS Voice ..and lovely inside & Out..seemed a bit nervous, understandably

I did the same thing. I knew about her, but only scratched the surface with everything. She was incredible, but fractured badly.
The same for me

One of the BEST voices in the world. LOVE you Sinead!
so I so do I think
Heard voices exactly like hers at dozens of middle school and high school talent shows. Very sweet voice though. RIP
You can see that up close she is rather fragile, shy and insecure. However, once she opens her mouth to sing....something divine takes over. She was born to let it out...even if it cost her. And it did.
She was already damaged. Her mother did her work well.
Beautiful mix of voices. She was a striking looking lady. Those wonderful eyes
Kind of a Audrey Hepburn qualities
the most beautiful eyes ive ever seen in my lifetime

He wasn't even listening. That's how they treat female artists, all too often.
It is not conversational. Methodical weakness.

RIP beautiful Sinead. Fly to heaven.
So smart, she was so politically ahead of her time. Love you Sinead❤
No, she was OF HER TIME. Where are the artists today with this kind of courage?
Universal Mother is my favourite Sinead O'connor album. I LOVE her music. She's brilliant.
I hope she knew how much she was loved by the right people.
Omg she just made me cry again- every day since she died….
💔😢😭🙏🏼💫✨
May she never close her mouth to what she has to say or what she sings so well...an extremely gifted woman as this clip shows.
So beautiful 💜

Thnks Sooo much 4 posting the lyrics

I have such a lump in my throat listening to lovely Sinead singing, knowing she is no more on this earth.
R.I.P. to you both ❤❤
Sinead’s daughter, Roisin, sang this song at Sinead’s funeral.
Jools Holland, I think you are the greatest musical host and created THE most important showcase for music in history, second only to Soul Train (which I've no doubt you'll agree with). Sinead, you were one of the most important artists ever, and I hope that - much like Richard Penniman - history will do you justice.
He's not even listening to her. He gives her short shrift. Why compare her to "Richard Penniman" She's her own woman.
Greatest voice of all-time!
Have you ever heard anything so beautiful? 💔
So naturally beautiful rip dear Sinead ❤
Você foi incrível e extraordinária neste plano. Agora você está em paz com seu menino e na proteção de Deus. Será sempre lembrada pelas tuas músicas. Vou te ouvir e amar sempre minha rainha da Irlanda Sinéad O'Connor . Adeus 🕊🙏
How beautiful this is, very emotional to hear after her recent passing
Aye!
Oh my god ,that voice speaks volumes. She never wanted fame ,just sing and sing she could!

One of my favs. Okay all of her songs are my favs. She is so talented but remains, civil decent shy and humble.
If anyone was showing signs of ASD it was sinead shame they called her crazy she was a genius ❤
She was twice as alive as anyone around her.

a celtic thing, to feel, to be, she is all of these
oh, my. What a voice and such convictions.
Sinéad never got used to the idea that people could actually like her songs.
Reverence of Bob Marley... no-one mentions this (below).
She makes a salient and highly accurate comment on the shared experience of Irish and African people, which she (to Sinéad's enormous credit) has made throughout her whole career...
aye mo cara but the bbc dont care about that sorta thing. TAL

oh gosh i love her eyes... like almond...
She's an angel!
He should have mentioned "We got Sinéad O'Connor with us, the best artist of al time".
I can't get over how many times she keeps on stroking her non existing stray hair from her left ear. A sign of insecurity. And that's why I love how painfully shy yet such an astonishing woman she is.
Looks like Winona Ryder here
Anxiety ! Imagine the pressure of being interviewed, on camera in front of an audience !!!!

I'm not the biggest fan of a capella, but this works extremely well.
Beautiful song.
Beautiful woman with a beautiful voice. :)
she's so cute in interviews - always so nervous, playing with her hair.
Yet, she persevered
Luminous.
Apart from the chatter, the singing of In this Heart is heartbreakingly beautiful.
Perfection!
She is an angel.
More music from Sinead O'Connor: Sinead.lnk.to/Listen

This is a really nice song. I remember it from Universal Mother, it's a standout track and I normally don't like a capella.
In This Heart is a heart breaking song. Every time I sing it, I find myself crying
💜
she looked like natalie portman with short hair in this.
beautiful voice and still do.
🌷
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏❤
Wish this performance was in HD. Interesting audio, the pitch of the song drifts down from start of the song to its finish.
Anjo do bem!👏😘
unfortunate we have to pass away before our true FAME comes in.
Sinead!! What a loss!!
Could you upload please fire on Babylon performed here in Jules Holland show?
In this heart starts at 3:38.
