I'd strongly recommend playing the original game it came from once. And don't be shy googling stuff up: Some things were hidden so that people had a use for Nintendo Power, like a hidden village you have to discover using the hammer.
Apart from that, pure, solid gold.

The first time I heard this in Super Smash Brothers, I was hooked. The song is both so intense and fluid. A masterful composition (both the original, and your intense remix)!

As much as I hated the difficulty of this game, the music was the thing that kept me playing for as long as I had.
How bad does it get? I got past death mountain using save states and practice
@@deathserpent9747 Dark Souls level of bad. If you've ever heard the term "NES Difficulty" then Zelda 2 is one of the primary and most punishing examples. Death Mountain is just an appetizer. On the Eastern Continent there are Maze Island (which is just as hard as Death Mountain), a hidden village in the middle of effing nowhere, invisible enemies, the last approach to the final temple which is like Death Mountain on crack cocaine, and the ABSOLUTELY LABYRINTHINE final temple itself that you'll literally be lost inside for days, where the freaking Angel of Death is just a sub-boss and the final boss is Link's Shadow, who is much MUCH more difficult than his incarnation in Ocarina of Time.
@@vorpalcheezit6844 i heard you can cheese shadow link in a corner. But it sounds exciting. I sometimes like to imagine that there's a metroid game that has high difficulty
@@deathserpent9747 Yeah he's cheesable. Beating him that way is so anti-climactic though. I preferred fighting him as the creators intended, right up in his face in an epic duel to the death. Why go through all the previous crap if I'm just going to beat the game with a cheap gimmick?

I'm a long-time listener of your covers, but I've noticed there's been a steady tone shift in your work. This cover...what's "symphonic" about it? As far as I can tell, you've kept the original instrumentation and just added blast beats and an occasional guitar fill. I'm not saying it's bad, it's just that it simultaneously feels flat and excessive, like the only thing different is the percussion and the drummer is on adderall. Conversely, three years ago you put out the zinogre theme, and that mixed the pot up when it came to instruments. It was bassier, it had this cool string riff at the start, and it felt heavy without leaning so much on moving the drums as fast as possible. Aside from a few remixes that were mainly jokes anyway (doki doki, mii channel, mario 1) I don't really enjoy this current FalKKonE, but I support you nonetheless because I'm just one guy and you've done super well for yourself. Been here since 7k man.
Well, I really appreciate you sticking around for so long, and the feedback, but there are some points I just find nonsensical (I'm sorry in advance):

uhm, aside from guitars and drums, there's always a full orchestra playing along (well, not always simultaneously)
but hey, I understand it may be not enough symphony to call it symphonic
I mean, there are people who just add a single violin to a guitar and call it symphonic/epic metal anyway
but yeah, next time I'll put 2 or 3 full orchestras I guess
