He gave me the chills. The conviction. The pathos. Wow deeply moving. Maintaining composure when you're emotional and need to deliver a song is incredibly difficult because all you want to do is wail uncontrollably.

I love how Katy Perry is so in touch with her emotions. Emotions ARE life and life IS emotions. Too many of us walk around stuffing our feelings, wrapping them up in little bows or expressing them via tacky Hallmark greeting card verses. Emotions are messy and beautiful AND they make most people uncomfortable. Katy is not fake, as some say. She is letting it out and doesn't give a damn how you feel about it.
