- FIRST LOOK: The Gravity is here and Lucid is ready to destroy the competition. On the outside you will see a unique shape, 22in wheels and glass roof. To have a longer range than a rivian r1s comperitor while using a battery almost half the size ia a game changer
Rivian R1S is too heavy by itself. Two small motors mounted on the big piece of sub-frame then attached to the main chassis. The efficiency is too low. Plus big battery pack add to the total weight. All of that reduce the range further.

Super slick body styling that proves you don't have to make an Electric Vehicle to look like a jelly bean and the interior says luxury ! --------- I've read that battery manufacturers are now starting to produce Sodium Ion car batteries that have similar abilities as Lithium Ion but are much cheaper and safer, lithium carbonate has been priced at $80,000 per ton while sodium carbonate is around $300 per ton so electric cars could become cheaper priced in the future.
Lucid did a great job with this. I think that this will definitely give other luxury ev SUV’s a run for their money.

Was at the LA Auto show today! They roped off the gravity to the public but glad you showed the interior! I think I like the exterior of the Air Touring better…

Thought it was a Fisker and got excited. But maybe someday Lucid will give this the Sapphire treatment and this SUV will carry a family of 6 while destroying a Bugatti in the 1/4 mile!
Great video love the Lucid’s style, but if you ever review the Lucid Gravity again you have to say that it is not as fast as 9.81 m/s^2 but it is close (acceleration due to Gravity) I looked it up apparently 9.81m/s^2 = about 2.77 seconds from 0-60 mph. 😁
Also if Lucid ever makes a performance version of the Gravity like the lucid air sapphire. They need to call it the 9.81 edition and have the 0 to 60 time be 2.7 seconds.

Nice overview. So it seems like the wheel sizes are different in front and rear. For on the last car it is 285/35R23 on rear, and 265/40/22 on front.

It’s great to see the advances away from fossil fuels and hopefully the trend continues! This Lucid Gravity SUV looks nice inside and out, just curious as to how an all glass roof with no sunshade (that I can see…) works in hot sunny climates? I know Tesla’s also feature those and if you need shade you have to install a manual one. We had a panoramic sunroof in a vehicle but it had a power sunshade and most sunny days it was closed.
If they can keep the price low enough in europe this will sell like crazy! The 80.000 euro mark that was rumoured would be perfect (but it almost sounds to good to be true)

Make EV wagons. I know SUVs (really not but are crossovers) are popular but make them lower and they'll have better drag/range/road manners. Great numbers in terms of range and has the usual overkill acceleration. Very nice vehicle. Looks well finished and it's tastefully appointed. But I'm finding a bit of Buick like sense to it. LIke a really nice Buick. Lucid needs a bit more style.
I preferred the suv over the sedan car.

For $130,000 you could keep it and get two electric Cadillacs or any other electric car. It seems like a lot of body plastic. And that’s the base price.

Bad take.. let's say you open a toy store and you invest 1,000,000 dollars on inventory and building out the store and on your first day you sell 5 items that would mean each item cost 200,000 to sell

Am I the only one who had Tesla in the roadster days who remembers all the doom and gloom people had for the company? Give lucid at least 7 years of car production before assessing their business model. Cars take some time to get things right. I think this suv is a winner. Attractive looking car…Elegant interior and great performance.

6:45 I absolutely love the big screens, and I love the way they set up the ambient lighting too. Even the the rims to the side mirrors look great. The colors they used on this car, interior and exterior, are amazing.
