You cannot blame the venue. I worked in similar entertainment venue for several years and they all have no re-entry policies. It's ultimately a safety precaution; so that you can't attempt to sneak something back in that could cause harm, and it's also a way to prevent people from buying one ticket, sending it to a friend, and having the friend come in for free. However, our supervisors would usually allow exceptions for people who asked about running out to the car. We always made exceptions for people who needed to grab medicine, baby care products, etc. However, we could never allow someone we didn't "check out" with the ticket scanners to come back in for those reasons. If you ever have to run to your car at a show or game, always ask the people at the entrance to "scan out" your ticket, and explain why you need to go back to your car, and they will usually be able to help you out. If the staff say no, ask if a supervisor could help you. These places have supervisors everywhere, and they will usually try to make the customer happy. Make sure you go back to the same place you walked out, and look for the same staff. If you leave without having your ticket scanned out, they are much less likely to let you back in.
