As someone who just recently embraced the mythical and magical, one part of the resistance by the left-brain imbalanced (i am still recovering) is the fear of being seen as foolish and irrational. I love the what are you giving up question.

Thanks for having Dr Hillman back! I’m reading his book “Planets in Play” and it ties a lot of different concepts together for me. Since I have some knowledge of astrology, it is an easy way for me to look at and try to understand and “see” the different archetypal forces. Interesting conversation ❤️
This was great! glad to see you have Dr. Hillman back on the show. Big fan of his father's work and had no idea he had a son until I watched your first interview with him. I am curious how he feels about Tarot and if he would consider that as one of those alternative tools you can use to find meaning. It's always been curious to me that Jung never talked about Tarot much, being that is has so much rich archetypal imagery.
Much of this conversation reminded me of “The Master and His Emissary” by Dr. Iain McGilchirst. Fascinating stuff, on both accounts. 👏

So I'm listening to your interview and it starts with a reference to Mercury. I just had my natal chart read after having seen the first interview you did with Lawrence and both buying AND (actually) reading two of the books you listed, only to learn that Mercury is my chart ruler, which was a complete surprise. This is synchronicity and confirmation that there is a path and I've never not been on it. The difference is that now I "know the place for the first time." Now I'm going to nuzzle in for more...TY for sharing the road

8:45 I think more relevant to Jung, Odin has a lot of the same characteristics as Mercury (where even today Wednesday = Wodens Day and in French they have their Wednesday as “Mercury’s Day”)
As someone who is in a huge worldwide community united for spiritual reasons and personal growth while also helping others, we are acutely perceptive of synchronous and see it often.
Some of us, many of us have lost everything, freedom included only to have tapped into this and gone to the other end of the spectrum, successful by every metric.

I do believe in Spiritual entities being individuated or separate from human beings while also being the archetypes inside the human psyche. Worlds within and without.
The fact that even depth psychologists were also quite afraid to take the Archetypes as literal, independent beings says something how deep and deceptive the nature of spiritual warfare is. In occult traditions, archetypes called Egregors. Even non physical constructs like companies, corporations, social movement, institutions have underlying archtype or spiritual entities influencing them.

As far as your analogy about the open world RPG, the Jungian, Robert Moore wrote an excent book, specifically for masculine people, called King, Warrior, Magician, Lover. It deals with the quaternity of masculine archetypes and how to balance them. PS, in classic WOW, I play as a Nightelf Rogue, in order to sort of be independent (single player). It's of course, not the way Blizzard intended the game to be played. This is also generally how I live as well. Sometimes games are a way to further live out an archetype.
Morphic resonance as discussed by Rupert Sheldrake seems to have a connection to synchronicity.

According to Jung the Self archetype is generating dreams/dream images, it is our transcendent self with a priori knowledge of who we are, are meant to be, our life purpose
The issue with the transgender movement is the amount of influential children claiming to be trans because it’s popular. One girl in a friend group of 7 will claim to be trans and later they all will claim the same. Some people are truly suffering, and it’s become a fad.

Which archetype do you guys think has been normalizing the phenomenon of minors having their genitalia surgically removed? Or laws making it a crime to misgender someone? I’m glad Jordan Peterson is “abrasive” about those issues. Someone had to step up.
Trickster. It’s definitely the trickster because his job is to use the paradigm of an overemphasized archetype to bring another out of the collective shadow. The U. S. Has a shadow warrior archetype and a shadow royal archetype. We have a pronounced, magician and lover archetype, so what happens is the legalese from the magician combines with the promiscuity of the overemphasized lover. To balance them the warrior is needed. In fact, the whole reason the country has been overrun by crazy people is because we won’t get our goddamn warrior out of the shadow.

By archetypes do you mean soul guides? Its seems like hes using the term to describe soul guides but soul guides are just fellow souls who have taken on the job to guide you, they can also be apart of your own soul. I also disagree with the free will stance as a soul you have 100% free will and as a human you still the final choice in any action you might commit.

On the physical , genetic and phenotypical level we're all female, All
the bodies start out female in the womb, if it is to mutate into a boy it happens at week 6-8 in utero but sometimes an error happens, the body gets stuck in between, thats a Hermaphrodite, not Androgynous. It is an error that sometimes occur.
On the spiritual level we have male and female.

❤❤Downey California. We just had new mayor Mario trijullo and LGBTQ community. They lied to the spanish speaking community , he was elected because he spoke spanish. January 22 2024 he was at Downey library with LGBQQ community reading their books to spanish speaking kids. Moms thought the kids were learning English…. Ignorance is bliss. Our librarians and police fear losing their jobs..
