I think maybe that's just a personal preference. When climbing, you don't really hear much because you are so focused, but it's the confidence you get from the odd cheer that really helps. It's about the fact that they care that helps so much. Now, if one single voice made all of the sound that these 10+ friends made...that might be too much as my ears would pick up the more defined and specific sound.
@@carson_climbs I only meant that you are truly skilled, and clearly you have so much passion in this. I wish I was like a mountain goat while climbing tbh.

Dude, amazing send. Literally my dream boulder. Could you explain the approach + where ya'll parked. Ive researched it for when I eventually travel there but there's not much info. Much appreciated!
Thank you, dude!!! It's really hard to explain the approach, honestly. The best thing to do would be to get a pdf of the guidebook or purchase the guidebook yourself. It's the best way to know the etiquette and approach for any boulder, especially this one, since it's a bit tricky. Sorry for not being as much help as I wish I could be.
It's a really fun boulder problem! The holds look way more intense than they are. It's truly the feet that are bad/far away. And why UA-cam? Too share climbing beta and connect with a larger community of people who also seek self-expression and discovery through movement.
I consider a retroflash to be when you return and resend a boulder problem that you had sent in a session previously. For instance, I haven't tried 'Majestic' in 2 years, I showed up and retroflashed it. It's a term that I find useful to track or describe a send. I hope this helps!
@blo5150 Thank you, homie!!! Retroflash is an app used for spray walls. I use 'retroflash' as a term to track / describe my send. Much like some people use the term 'day flash' to describe that they sent a boulder first try of the day after they had tried it previous session(s), I am using this term to describe that I showed up 2 years after I had first climbed it to then send it again first try of the day. I wrote a vignette of my day climbing with friends at 'Majestic' and resending it twice and put it in the description for people to read. I hope this better clarifies the use of the term and what I'm trying to evocate. Cheers!
Been wanting to do this boulder, trying to plan out what tides to do this in. Seeks like you did it at low tide, how deep would you say the water was during this? Seems like you were pushing it a little bit in terms of hitting some rocks in the water
There was 6 feet of water below me at the start time of sending. Once you get around the throw move, it is plenty deep. I swam around after my send to check for everyone. I definitely don't recommend trying it at really low tide for your first time.
This is the most supportive group of friends on the internet, may God bless you all!!!
They are such amazing people. Thank you for commenting!
Honestly I'd be annoyed, commenting on every step you took, feels belittling like I'm a child. But maybe thats just a personal issue.
