Make sure your a member of victory owners group! I have found great resources and advice on older/current bikes if all brands from heart dedicated owners!!
Fb has a victory owners group! With all of my bikes I have gotten tons of helpful info from other owners! Ride safe, sorry I don't have more info, I just love to keep classic bikes alive!
Two years ago I traded my 2014 Havasu Red Victory XC in for a 2020 Harley Road Glide. At first I was disappointed after the trade mainly because of the Victory’s better suspension, the deeper exhaust note, and the ability for me and wife to ride in comfort without any modifications. Im 6’5, shes 5’9. After the past couple summers I very much appreciate my Road Glide over the Victory for many more reasons. Do I have some regrets? Definitely. I never should have traded it. I would love to have both. I just didn’t know it at the time. The Victory is a special machine. If you have one, keep it. Even if you want a newer style motorcycle, make room and keep your Victory.
You ain't riding if you ain't gliding. No to be honest I've never rode a Victory but I don't see how a person could want anything more than a Harley Davidson electra, Street or Road Glide
@@onementality9781 i do agree with you Tennessee but as a Harley owner myself for many years, i absolutely loved the way my Vicky handled as well, very ,very well made bike, and now they are doing just as much success if not more on the Indians
Having owned nearly every brand of motorcycle over the past three decades I put my 2008 Victory Vision in the number one spot. It is a superb motorcycle. Only complaint, no ABS.
Thanks for beating the Victory drum guys. As an XCT and Vision owner, These are the best bikes I've ever been on. It's unfortunate that many riders were so caught up in a lifestyle of certain bikes, that they refused to ride one of these and witness first hand they are superior bikes. Many miles with smiles I wish to you guys...
Yeah it’s unfortunate so many people are close minded and don’t give Victory a shot. They’re amazing bikes. But at least it leaves more Vixtories for us to own and ride🤷🏻♂️
Every time I start to get worried about parts for my Victory Judge, I drive it down the road and my worries melt away! I'll ride my Victory until it won't go anymore. While the paint and fairings may be problematic after 2027, things like the kickstand, handlebars, clutch, starter, ect. Don't absolutely need to be victory parts. Other aftermarket parts will fit just fine.
Great video. Beautiful Magnum. I started out with a 06 Vegas and fell in love with Victory motorcycles. Moved on to 07 Jackpot (one of my bucket list bikes I'm never parting with), 16 Vegas and then 16 Magnum, (other bucket list bike). They are hands down the best motorcycles I have owned or rode. In a sea of bikes the Victory always stands out. No mistaking a Victory for another bike, Always gets compliments. I would recommend riding one if your on the fence about purchasing, especially if your 6 foot or taller, leg room is unmatched. And the parts availability issue, I've had no problems so far, time will tell I guess. The only things I've had to replace is general wear stuff, (tires, brakes, oil and filter). Absolutely no regrets .
I've got a 2003 Vegas that I bought new. It's been EXTREMELY reliable and the performance is satisfying. I've also got a 2010 ANSS Vision. It has 40,000 miles on it and rides like new. Nothing feels like a. Victory nor looks like one. I'm keeping them forever!
I went back and forth between the cross country and a Street glide. Back in 2014. Once I started shopping around, every bike I passed on the road was a street glide. Decided to go with the XC. Couldn’t be happier. Did a big wheel kit 26inch, lowered, and exhaust right off the show room floor. Haven’t had the slightest problem out of it. 15k miles so far. I rode the brand new XC at a dealership then less than 30 minutes later rode a brand new street glide at a dealership. I’ve done pegs, offering grips, bag fillers, upgraded speakers and added an amp. LED headlight and a couple of things. No comparison in comfort. The floor boards are massive on the XC. Your legs are stretched out in front of you. I felt cramped on the street glide. Like the bars and instrument cluster was right in my face. Same with my knees, felt like they were in my chest. My knees were bent at a 90 angle. Almost every time I ride I get compliments on it. Even if there’s a few Harley’s riding with me. People look right passed the Harley’s and start asking questions about mine. Never fails. Love that windshield and color btw. Don’t plan on selling my any time soon.
Great job on this video. One of the most professional out here on UA-cam. Very good discussion regarding buying a Victory motorcycle today verses buying new when them came out is a smart conversation to have. I am a former Victory owner and loved it. Great job, keep up the good work.
Just bought me a 2011 Cross Roads and I gotta say I haven’t been happier with a motorcycle. I remember my uncle had a Cross Country when I was a kid, and it was burnt orange with black accents. First time I saw him take off down the street, all I could think at that moment was “I want a bike like that” Not very many childhood aspirations become reality, they eventually fade out to logic and reason alongside time and money. But I’m really happy I was able to achieve this one! Ride safe guys! And thank you for the awesome review!
Great vid got my Vic Cross tour 2012 great bike I live up in the shetlands Isles 80 miles from Norway 200 miles from Scotland merry Christmas regards pat
I've owned a 2010 victory cross country, Harley streetglide & roadking and a Indian chieftain. Victory is the more comfortable than everything I've ever ridden!💯 I have sat on a honda goldwing and felt like they were made for very short people. Im 5'11 and out of the box without doing any mods to it.......Victory is the best v-twin motorcycle of all 💯💯💯💯💯
I owned a Harley worked on it mo than i rode it . I sold it now i have 2 victorys they out handle Harley and off the the floor stock victory stock Harley. The victory motorcycle wins.
My 2008 Vision is stock and I’m 5’8” and it’s very comfortable and I have a buddy who road it and he’s about 6’2” and he also felt very comfortable on it.
Just bought a 2011 Kingpin with 17k miles and picking it up in a few days. I was nervous about finding parts but videos like this really help me feel confident about my decision. To say that I'm excited to drive it home soon is an understatement!
I've always wanted a victory since I first saw a cross country. 3 weeks ago found a 2013 zach ness sig. Edition. Traded my 2003 vtx1800 in and took her home. Absolutely love this bike will never let it go. Your bike is awesome looking!
Like Brandon I have a 2017 M109R. When I decided I wanted a bagger I chose a 2016 Magnum X1 stealth edition for the same reason I lived the 109. Both are extremely spacious for big tall guys. The closest spacious bike to the Magnum would be the Chieftain. Harleys are smaller and more than you would think. And when you consider the value you get for what you can pick one up for it's a no-brainer. It meets or beats the performance of Harley ride with. Some people have got enough money in their Harley it'll outrun my Magnum but for what you have to put into it and the reduced reliability I'll stick with what I got. As far as the Indians go I love the Challenger's power plant but it like the Harley is smaller and I prefer the super low seats and the way it feels to sit on the Magnum period the chieftain is the bike I would most consider but I don't like the power plant in that one. It doesn't rev. It's all low end to work. I prefer a higher revving motor.
Best Buy out there IMHO. In all transparency I don’t own a Victory, however I have spent months researching Victories for a riding buddy who was convinced he needed a Cross Country Tour. The more I researched and learned, the more I became impressed. Great bikes and available for ridiculously low prices
I've always loved the styling of Victory. Had my eye on them for years. When I was finally able to buy a bike, I could not find anything in my area. Not available to travel, I was S.O.L., sadly. They still have bettet styling than a lot of bike on the market today. That orange especially is KILLER!!
Funny I was one of those guys that didn't look twice at a Victory. I have/had numerous bikes, not just Harley lots of Japanese. Sport bikes, sport tours, dirt and ADV. I came across a 2012 Cross Country Tour last year in pearl white that had only 7200KMS on it, original owner. My buddy convinced me to just try it. the deal was right so I picked it up. I got it on July 2. I put another 10,000kms on it more than any of my other units. I don't know what it is however it has satisfied something in my riding that I never knew I was missing. I love it and enjoy putting miles on it every time I can take it out. Why Victory did not succeed or sell a ton is beyond me. If all the people that bought new could not convey how great this bike was to their peers or at least try one I can't comprehend. I know I missed the boat and will be keeping this unit forsure.
I purchased a 2013 Vegas this past July. With only 883 miles on it, yes that correct, first owner sold to his brother at 586 miles all mileage was documented thu Texas tile ownership. Turned out the second owner lived less than 5 miles from me. I too have researched parts availability and found many sources so parts are not a issue at this time. The bike has no flaws no dings-dents. I really enjoy riding it others can't believe the almost new look, performance it has. I to say if the right deal comes along don't hesitate to purchase a Victory motorcycle. Really enjoyed you video and thank you for posting it.
At one time I had a 2013 Highball and when I retired from the Navy I bought a 2013 Hard Ball. After Polaris announced what their intentions is, I traded my High Ball for a Harley CVO (Big Mistake #1). Then a friend offered me good money for my Hard Ball and since I was riding it less, I sold it (Big Mistake #2). Moving forward, I own a Road Glide which I love, but back in June, a guy here in San Diego put his Hard Ball up for sale, within the next day, its sitting in my yard, I had to have it. My only complaint is that I cannot find better exhaust, one day I will. Beautiful Vic there btw!
@@andrewdods2236 I contacted two brothers about two weeks ago and they said they don’t make Victory exhaust anymore, well for the steel frame Victory’s they said. I am looking for exhaust for my Highball and all the ones I like and want have dropped the Victory lines. I really want the Bassani Road Rage 2 into 1 but stopped making them. Rogue Pipe Works makes exhaust for Victory’s still. I have an RC Components exhaust on my Magnum and love it. I have a buddy that has D&D exhaust and it’s pretty killer also. Sucks Drew Miller stopped doing the Victory exhaust as his were the best sounding exhaust you could buy and he had the best prices.
Great video! I got a 2016 Hammer S and i love it.. don't regret purchasing it despite the possibility of a lack of parts someday. This past Daytona Biketoberfest (i wasn't racing at the track for a change) and this bike had a never-ending parade of admirers despite being surrounded by bikes costing 3, 4, or even 5 times as much!
First video I watch on your channel and i have to say i will continue watching some of your videos that interest me.. i like the fact you are talking about bikes without using stupid language which is appreciated
Beautiful bike dude! I love Victory. My buddy and I ride ADV bikes. We pull up to a biker bar in Wisconsin and there are 75 Harleys and 1 Victory. The Victory was no doubt the best looking bike in the lot.
Hey guys. I own a 2013 Victory X country with 60,500 miles and she is still running strong. I changed both sprockets only because I wanted to. I will ride this bike until the wheels fall off. This bike is very easy to maintain. Thanks for the video. Ride on Vic owners
I owned a 99 and a 03, when it comes to reliability it's good to remember Polaris over engineers everything. My 99 had about 100,000 miles on it before I let it go.
I started out with my 2013 Victoy Highball and after a few long road trips decided I needed to add a bagger to the garage so of course I went out and bought a 2016 Victory Magnum. Like everyone says of you are over 6’ tall you will never find a more comfortable bike with all the leg room you could want. Power performance and reliability are unmatched. I am sure Polaris will sell all the rights, tooling and such to a private company that will be willing to continue parts for the Victory bikes. If now we will ride them until the wheels fall off. I still have my Highball, I was going to sell it to fund the Magnum purchase but the steel frame bikes are a totally different ride and too much fun to ride so it’s till in my garage. I just rode the new 2022 lineup of Indian bikes and I have to say the Challenger will be the next in my garage. The Pursuit is an equally amazing bike and the comfort is unreal. Now, if you want a new bike that is closest to the Victory Cross bikes then the Indian Chieftain is the closest ride I have found to the Cross Country/Magnum bikes. Tell your buddy not to waste money on another Victory kickstand check out the link included on the aftermarket guy that makes an upgraded kickstand for cross bikes. They never upgraded the design of those kickstands for the cross bikes and they just can’t handle the weight. I don’t know how many I have seen bent, frame split or just worn out ones. Oh and I have a buddy that had a magnum and he put 113k miles on it and never a single issue im other than the 40 amp breaker. Great video and a chance finding your content but will become a new subscriber for sure! Top quality production. If you are ever up in Western North Carolina hit me up and we will ride some amazing roads and the Dragon. facebook.com/groups/1750778401833766/permalink/3163050703939855/
I have a vision a cross country and a jackpot. I love all three. I have never had any issues getting the parts I’ve needed. Great bikes they are bulletproof
I bought my '12 Hardball 3 years ago from my local Indian dealer after spending a couple years on a Kawi Vulcan. Both my wife and I are in love with the thing, and I truly don't know of anything that can replace it, other than another Victory. We just got back from a vacation where I rented a street glide for a few days, and having the fairing with Nav and tunes was nice, but other than that, there is no comparison. I couldn't wait to get home and take my bike for a spin. Whether it's just me, or we're two up, the power, ride and handling is so much better. I'm not worried about the parts, they're easy to work on when it needs it, but really it's just gas, oil, tires and ride it!
A fair and balanced review - nice work. Important reminder, Victory transferred resources to Indian to improve profitability and add longevity. Once upon a time Harley was in a similar position and sought cover from AMF bowling….that partnership didn’t work and Harley divested the relationship. The Indian product has improved markedly in recent years and those turned off by the Victory shutdown (4 years ago) are in small numbers. We all get over our frustrations with both motor company’s….the minute we see their New model years line-up. Again, another great review Brandon.
Great video, I have a 17 vic cross country and love it. yes I worry about parts but haven't had a need for much. That for the video it was very informative and good to know others still love thier Vics.
Still riding my 2015 Victory Cross Country Tour. It is my third Victory since leaving Harley in 2005. I love it and have a hard time justifying 30k on Harley or Indian but I have been doing a lot of demo rides as this is the longest I have ever kept a motorcycle.
I bought a 2017 Victory Cross Country last year. Since test riding one years ago, finally I own one and I love it. I'm trying to stock up with as much parts that I can. I've been seening so many people selling their Victory's with low miles, just because they don't ride as much or at all any more. I was thinking of buying all the Victory motorcycle, but I don't have that kind of money or place to store them. Great vid.
I own the same exact bike, only about 6,xxx miles on her and I absolutely love it, I'm a 6'2" rider and I fit perfectly on the bike and love the the lines, nothing will replace it
Im from England. I have two Vic's myself. One is a Year 2000 V92SC and the other is a 2014 Judge - Both bikes are brilliant to ride. I have just returned home from a Bank Holiday Weekend Victory Gathering in Yorkshire. There were 25 Victories there, that's a lot! in one place. 4 had ridden over to England from Germany. Vic's in all shapes and sizes and colours. You talk to any Victory owner and they all say how much they love their bikes and none of us really worry about getting parts. They are pretty solid Bullet Proof bikes mostly. Give them regular oil and filter changes and away you go. In my opinion they dropped a BIG Clanger when they stopped making the Victory Motorcycles. And you know, I love the looks I get when I roll up on one of my Vic's at a Bikers Cafe and they all stare at me... It's good to be different.
Great video bro. I have a 16 Cross Country customized and I absolutely love it. Ive owned it 3 years now and its my first cruiser coming from sport bikes. I think the Vic made my transition a lot easier with its comfort, handling, and responsiveness. The look is timeless and amazing! Victory fan Forever!
I do have the Victory Magnum 2017. It runs absolutely great! Even though they will have parts for ten years, you will always find parts from older victorys sold everywhere. I have a 2005 Yamaha Road Star, and I can find parts left and right. And all the painted parts can be re-painted easily by paintshops.
I have a Magnum...love it never had a issue. Im keeping it even though im planning on getting a Challenger soon.. it was my first bagger and it served me well... trips from NC to Florida.. NC to NYC... never shuddered. Ohh PS.. before u get a new kick stand try a aftermarket puck... it raises the bike up 1 to 3 inches...💪🏾
This guy knows what he's talking about I almost got a Victory bcuz of him & my other brothers but just didn't want 2 go through the part situation but wished I would have but the Indian is my goal now
Loved my old Vic. Wish Polaris would have kept them. I'd buy one again in a heartbeat. I love to see some color. In these days where everything is black on black, seeing contrast something to differentiate a bike from the crowd makes me happy.
Great conversation topic here, I was looking at a victory vegas great looking bike but I'm hesitant to buy one due to parts availability in the future. I hate they stopped making bikes because they were nice looking bikes
Yes sir, I'm on my second Victory. My first was a 2012 Cross Roads bought used in 2016 that took me from Kansas to Seattle n back then 2 weeks later , Kansas to Maryland n New York State. Put on about 35K miles on it til 2021 when I gave the bike to my son because I bought a 2016 Cross Country Tour with only 14k miles on it. Other than filters n oil , tires n brake pads, the CR went thru 2 voltage regulators. Very very reliable even when running long distances at very high speeds.
I have an 07 kingpin. Great bike love it. Not many issues. Some parts are harder to get but still a great ride. Just picked up a 2015 magnum! All I can say is Wow! Comfortable ride with great power and looks!
Had an 05 touring cruiser. Parts for those have been scarce for a decade. Now I ride a Vision and I will probably ride the wheels off it. Cams and a tune, stock clutch... Perfect balance of power and reliability. Amazing handling. Insane 2-up comfort
I was looking into Victory when I got my endorsement. I own a ‘99 Yamaha Virago 1100. I can find every part I have ever needed for repairs and upgrades. I am sure owners will find parts for many years after support ends. Victory remains high on my list to replace my current motorcycle with. The styling and color are simply unmatched.
I have a 2010 Cross Roads, absolutely love it! For your kick stand, get a replacement pad from Witchdoctors. It's a hockey puck that is fitted to the kickstand. Sits the bike up at the right angle for ~$20.
On the Facebook forum, there is a guy selling the "bigboy" kickstand which is modeled after the police bike stand. Much stronger, and has adjustable height. A few extra $$, but well worth it
As ya'll said, I did a lot of research and watching videos and in January of 2020 I went from Cleveland Ga. to just west of Houston Tx. and bought a 2014 Victory Vision that had only 2100 miles on it. Got it home and began to ride and like you said very smooth. The only thing that I have done is put a back rest on it for the long rides. At 47mph and the comfort that this bike has I couldn't be happier.
I have a 2011 Cross Country that I bought new. I has 65K on it today. Other than routine maintenance items, the only "repair" was a seal on the shifter shaft. I wish I could buy a brand new one when this on hits 100K. Then I would have two terrific Victories.
I own a 2013 Cross Country Tour in Boardwalk Blue with 35,xxx miles 💙 and still love it. Drove up to Iowa and had Rylan install Lloydz touring cams, timing wheel, high flow air filter, 1/4 turn throttle, Atom Bomb exhaust and a Power Commander V, he tuned it to 110/110. It pulls very strong. He also raised the rev. Limiter.
Love the colour and shape of your brothers bike. I have a 2015 Indian Chieftain so hope my motor and gearbox are as good as the Victory. I’ve done over 75,000km in Australia and the US and love the comfort of the bike. I also found a noticeable improvement in shifts when I changed the oil to Amsoil. Great show.
I own a 2010 Victory Cross Country AND a 2012 Victory Crossroads. Love them both! They are stock with the exception of some mirrors on my Cross Country. Unbelievable motorcycles!
I bought a 2014 Victory Vegas 8 ball about 3 years ago and Love ripping up the twisties with it. It has to be the most comfortable and powerful bike I have ever owned. I restore older bikes (60s through early 90s) and have had to cross reference part or cobble parts to get them Road ready. I am not worried about getting Vic parts as the Vic community is alive and strong. I'd love to meet up with your crew and ride. I grew up in Centerpoint, and would be willing to meet up with y'all when it's convenient. PM me if interested.
Love the video and the channel man you made a lot of great points! I just bought my 3rd Victory a few weeks ago! Picked up a 2016 XC with only 6,500 miles so it should last me a long time. Just made a video about it actually. I got the titanium gray and I love it, but I am a little jealous of that Orange. You don't see it every day. Ride safe out there!
Great video. I had a Street glide and ended up selling it. It was nice but it seemed like everyone had one and it was way overpriced. The Victory Magnum is the best looking bagger out there in my opinion. Too bad they stopped making them. Love the color.
BB, good talk on the "Vic'", as you call it. Your video brought out a lot of comments from owners and perspective buyers. Great service to the motorcycle community. I'm sure there are or were many like me who pondered about the viability of owning one. Thanks again. Keep 'em coming!
I haven't owned one, but always tested em in Daytona during bike week or Biketoberfest. Best bike I've ridden as far as handling ,comfort and power goes. I am still looking for the right deal on one.
Thanks for the heads up I found one and your video helped me decide to pull the trigger on it. I actually like different and not many others around like it anyway. Thanks Again! Safe riding!
I am in the process of buying a 2011 vision tour for 6000. Never ridden one but am so excited to start. Never seen one around here in ky. Cincy. Area..
Great video I have a 2016 Vegas 8 Ball with V and Hines slip-ons and upgraded LED turn signals. Victory does have a unique styling and are becoming rarer as time goes on. My bike has never missed a beat. I won't sell it as I belive in my own opinion that Victory motorbikes in years to come will be modern classics. Long Live Victory!
I have a 2013 cross country with 70,000 I love this bike difficult to think about changing. Cornering and low center of mass is awesome. I have had many bikes over 50 years.
I bought a 2015 in 2017 with 4K miles on it and have never questioned my choice. I did swap out the seat for looks and lowering it from Wil Milano. Great vid.
I purchased a 17 cross country after hearing the were closing down Victory. I haven't regretted it. Not concerned about lack of parts since these are supported by a few aftermarket companies. My only complaint is the bike has no center stand and it leans left which seems to cause the left fork seal to go bad. I've replaces the left seal twice in less than 10k, but in my opinion, it isn't a major fail. My profile pic is the day I purchased my 17 cross country. 01/27/2018.
I think everything you said is 100% bang on accurate. I will add, here in Australia Indian is doing well. However, recently they closed all dealers, and now they are trading through a popular Moto accessory supermarket. I don’t think this does the brand any favours. Actual dealers would have closed their doors likely due to just not enough sales to keep the doors open. Which is sad. But it also makes me think, in smaller markets, it’s very challenging considering a bike brand when it technically has no representation here anymore.
I bought my 2013 highball from its original owner with 1400 miles on it about 6 years ago. Sounds and rides great. I bought parts for it and had to customize also to fit. I Always get compliments on the bike when I take her out!. I’ve owned a Harley Road King and a Kawasaki Vulcan before this bike. I definitely love the Victory. I hope finding parts in the future won’t be that difficult and look forward to tacking the miles on my bike
I love my 2014 Cross Country. I bought it at the end of 2020 with 3k miles for $5,000. Seller needed money because of the pandemic. Victory bikes can be had for next to nothing, they're reliable, good looking and unique. Check out the Facebook forums and you should have no trouble buying parts.
I rencently bought a Magum, less than two months ago. It was the bike of my dreams since I saw it many years ago. There are only a few units in Spain (even when Indian is a quite succesful brand). I just love it, everyone in the street looks a it with a "WOW". I paid 14000€ (almost 16k $) but it was perfect and only had 12000 km (less than 7500 miles). I still think was a good deal and I expect to ride it for maaaaany years. Now my problem is finding accesories, it's almost imposible in Europe. Thanks God we have Ebay 😆. I spoke with the Indian distributor and "mechanic" pieces are easy to find. So if any of you sell accesories, please contact me! See you in the road!
I have a 2015 XC with 44k miles on it. I’m having an electrical issue. Not sure if it’s the stator that’s shot. I went through the simple things I could fix. The only thing I’ve ever seen people talk about failing on the Victory is the infamous C-clip failing. That’ll be an expensive fix. Either new motor or a new bike. Btw, love that color of your Magnum. My fav looking Magnum 👌
If you ask me, NOW is the time to buy one and appreciate it. You can totally still get parts and upgrades. Is there as many options as Harley? No, but the bikes require less custom work to make them look great and even less mods to make them fast AF. Buy one and ride the crap out of it for the next 5, 6 years and remember it forever! They really are a fantastic bike. Every damn model is a winner. I own a Kingpin and plan on putting many many miles on it! It's sexier and fits me better than most of the bikes out there. Thank you bro for making this video.
I had a chance to borrow a friends 2016 magnum last summer and i honestly didnt want to give it back. Im 5'7" and when i sat on the bike my feet were firmly planted that by itself sold me on the bike but when i rode it that sealed the deal. Its a smooth ride the gear box shifts smoothly the engine doesnt shake you like Harleys ive riden. Factory sound system is still heard at highway speeds just a great all around motorcycle. Ive been planing to buy one for myself im pretty ceartain that will be my next bike purchase.
I have a 2011 cross country with 115k and it runs and rides great not much has been done to it just minor things like upgraded radio and speakers and back pegs
I've had my '12 Cross Roads for 2 years now and have put over 30,000 miles to date. The only major problem I have had so far was a PCV fuel controller go bad and cut out one of my cylinders. I replaced with a Maximus tuner and custom tune by Noe Martinez and now it runs great. The bike came with cams, Lloydz airbox, and tri-oval exhausts. I've swapped out the pipes for custom baffles and bought a Victory tour pack for touring 2-up. Most comfortable bike I've ridden until I test road an Indian Challenger.
Best Bike I have ever owned for just cruising. A 2013 Boardwalk and probably only around 1200 built as it just never took off, but one of most retro chrome scooters I ever seen. And lordy she has a big ass... fender and was a replacement for the Kingpin. Which was a long run favorite and popular today. The article is right on about the ride of in, not on...
I love my cross country, i take alot of long bike trips and the room to move around and the comfort, make it, to me the best bike ive owned and ridden. My biggest problem is trying to find people to go on bike trips with me, everyone wants to trailer their bike half way. Love the video's brandon.
It's always good to see people who like what they ride. I've test ridden a few Victories, and liked them. OTOH, I'm not a cruiser guy, so had no interest in buying one. As to buying an orphan, it depends a lot of factors, such as original build quality, factory support, aftermarket support, used support (ebay, junkyards, etc), access to an affordable mechanic, etc. Ideally, if you have the skills and tools yourself, it takes a lot of the risk out of owning and riding an orphaned bike. The people I know who have Victories love them, and I've heard of no catastrophic failures, and no particular minor issues as well. If I were looking for a cruiser, I'd have no qualms about buying a Victory. The Vision was probably the model that most appealed to me.
LOVE THIS VIDEO, Exactly why I own one. The ride alone is worth it, but then they threw in the unmatched V-Twin and performance. Dream to hit corners with.
On my 4th cross country....(3 tours/1 base).......comfort and handling (for a bike that sometimes weighs over 1200 pounds with me on it.....under 1100 now....) is a top reason for me....from there we go into the performance (cams & intake & exhaust dyno tuned with a maximus programmer) it works for me....
I've owned a 2007 Vegas for a full decade. The few wear and tear parts I've needed to replace were very easy to source. However some of the aftermarket bling I've picked up over the years is no longer available. But there is still a decent selection of alternative parts available for customizing.
Victory`s are still really nice bikes. Wanted the Vision but couldn`t afford it at the time. So bought a used 2007 Yamaha Stradoliner 1900cc. And as of 2022 found a 2018 Indian Chieftain Limited. Plan to keep this one for a long time. If I got a Victory worry about finding parts like I`m having with the Stradoliner now since they stopped making that model in 2010. Your friends Victory is sweet really like the color. Hope he keeps it for a long time.
Make sure your a member of victory owners group! I have found great resources and advice on older/current bikes if all brands from heart dedicated owners!!
Bought a 2015 victory Vegas 8ball that only has 2300 miles on it. How do I become part of the victory owners group?
But yet he doesn't say how to join.
@@onementality9781 you would have to ride one to know the difference and feeling. Like the Cadillac of motorcycles.
Having owned nearly every brand of motorcycle over the past three decades I put my 2008 Victory Vision in the number one spot. It is a superb motorcycle. Only complaint, no ABS.
@@jefffaudree4141 i heard that about the Vision. I’ve never ridden one but I heard that the ride real nice.
Thanks for having this conversation, it is appreciated.
I purchased a 2013 victory XC a year ago this month. I love the ride, the storage capacity and the overall look.
First time I saw him take off down the street, all I could think at that moment was “I want a bike like that”
Not very many childhood aspirations become reality, they eventually fade out to logic and reason alongside time and money. But I’m really happy I was able to achieve this one!
Ride safe guys! And thank you for the awesome review!
That’s an awesome story, D! Enjoy it!
Great vid got my Vic Cross tour 2012 great bike I live up in the shetlands Isles 80 miles from Norway 200 miles from Scotland merry Christmas regards pat
That’s the most beautiful bagger ever !!! 🙏🙌 Love the Victory bikes !
I have a 2014 XCT with over 100,000 miles on it. I haven't had any issues with it. Everything is still original except the rear header. Love this bike
I have 60k on mine. Wow! What encouragement. Thanks.
I've owned a 2010 victory cross country, Harley streetglide & roadking and a Indian chieftain. Victory is the more comfortable than everything I've ever ridden!💯 I have sat on a honda goldwing and felt like they were made for very short people. Im 5'11 and out of the box without doing any mods to it.......Victory is the best v-twin motorcycle of all 💯💯💯💯💯
Really, is that what you got out of riding a Victory? All I'm gonna say is that Harley is still standing.
Victory is easily the worst lol
I owned a Harley worked on it mo than i rode it . I sold it now i have 2 victorys they out handle Harley and off the the floor stock victory stock Harley. The victory motorcycle wins.
@@lavery0365 As an owner of a Victory, I love Harley’s. They are so easy to pass due to their lack of power and poor reliability.
Love my 2010 Hammer!😁👌
Heck of a story. Awesome that you got another.
TBR. Two Brothers Racing. That’s your exhaust !
Sucks Drew Miller stopped doing the Victory exhaust as his were the best sounding exhaust you could buy and he had the best prices.
eBay had a bunch of Bassani Pro Street exhausts systems for Victory Bikes.
I own two Victory’s. I love them. Parts are not an issue. Tons of websites offer parts.
Just rode my 2016 Magnum in suede white today! Purchased new and I love it!!! 11000 miles so far!!!!
I just bought a magnum last year and I have a kingpin I've owned since new. Just love the feel and riding position of the victory bikes

I remember that well i bought a set of AMF weight's back in the day ! lol
I miss my Victory Hammer. Loved that bike, never had an issue with it.
Why did you get rid of it?
Serious question, not trolling you
Great video, I have a 17 vic cross country and love it. yes I worry about parts but haven't had a need for much.
Thanks for watching and be on the lookout for another Victory video in the next few weeks. Won’t wanna miss it. 👀
I'll pass that recommendation along!
I’ve got a 2013 Antifreeze Green XC, I love it. I have been considering another Vic to add to the stable I love them that much.
Own Harleys but been looking at a Victory, sweet looking motorcycle with a great reputation. Great video, thanks!
I have a 2011 Cross Country that I bought new. I has 65K on it today. Other than routine maintenance items, the only "repair" was a seal on the shifter shaft. I wish I could buy a brand new one when this on hits 100K. Then I would have two terrific Victories.
2:12 get a reinforced aftermarket kickstand.the pos factory one on mine snapped.
Everything he said to describe the reasons for liking the magnum are the reasons why I love mine and will still continue to own mine!
One of the main reasons I went with the Cross country. When I was shopping around, it seemed like EVERY bike I passed on the road was a street glide.
BB, good talk on the "Vic'", as you call it. Your video brought out a lot of comments from owners and perspective buyers. Great service to the motorcycle community. I'm sure there are or were many like me who pondered about the viability of owning one. Thanks again. Keep 'em coming!
Sure thing! I was surprised at the amount of people coming through that own Vics!
another Bicasso gem about great bikes of days gone by !
Own a 09 Victory Vision, still a Show Stopper, and rides like a Rolls. Love my Victory.
Heck yeah! Ride safe and enjoy!
Just bought an 02 V92c with 32k on it for $2500. I love it. The sound, the ride height, seat comfort, etc.
Long Live Victory!
i love my magnum. headed for cams in may at VicShop. I have a 2020 street glide special and love it to.
Great vid.
I own 4 victory’s and ride all of them all very reliable, Vegas, boardwalk, jackpot, cross country love them
I bought a 2014 cross roads 8ball. ive had it for 4 years now. Two Sturgis trips. Such a comfortable ride. I hope Polaris will bring it back.
I bought a 2018 Octane with 2k miles this summer. Love it. Now I want a tour bus Cross Country too.
Great looking bike. Just got my first victory. Look forward to riding it a long time
A really good informative video for used Victory buyers. Well done. Eric
I have a 2011 cross country with 115k and it runs and rides great not much has been done to it just minor things like upgraded radio and speakers and back pegs
Great seeing continued enthusiasm for victory. I just picked up a 2017 xct... I'll run it till it doesn't run and I can't find parts.
Well said!
Glad you're still enjoying yours!
There is a puck that you can add to the foot of the kick stand which will help with the lean.
I had a 2012 Victory CCT, had to sell it before I moved to Texas and I’ve been on the hunt for another one
Witchdoctor sells a heavy duty kick stand! Highly recommend it for the cross bikes.
I've owned a 2007 Vegas for a full decade. The few wear and tear parts I've needed to replace were very easy to source. However some of the aftermarket bling I've picked up over the years is no longer available. But there is still a decent selection of alternative parts available for customizing.
That’s great to know! Thanks for sharing that.
