Excellent video! I was ALWAYS wondering about what kind of hit one would take on a new car, especially a brand new Trax! I have one identical to yours, except its an LS with both packages and color. I love it and highly recommend it!
I like the wheels on the 1RS trim the best. A buyer can get alloy wheels instead of hubcaps on the LS trim as a part of a package. I’m pretty sure CarMax would price yours about $2K over MSRP if you sold it to them. Thank you for sharing!
Yeah, I just sold my 2024 Chevy Trax RS nitro yellow metallic. My MSRP was 24,680. The paint & sunroof was an additional 1200. I had 2800 miles. Got three different appraisals. 20, 20 & 21. Traded it for the Buick version and gained a lot.
@@justinj4827 why would you trade in the Trax so quickly, even at a slight loss? What did the Buick offer that was a must-have for you over what you had in the Trax?
@@brucekalter4206 push to start, 8 inch digital gauge cluster vs analog gauge on the Chevy, 11 inch infotainment center vs the 8” , adaptive, cruise control, white paint, and not nitro yellow. (yellow was my only option because they were incredibly hard to locate )The Buick body style. Etc. If the Buick was out when I was in the market, I would have chose the Buick. The Buick seems more classy in the Chevy seemed more modern. was very hard to go places with my two service dogs with the flip key, so push to start was way more convenient when I have my dogs with me. (I get General Motors pricing so I literally gained a few features for $2500)
@@brucekalter4206 oh, and also my remote start on my Chevrolet was messed up. And the part does not exist yet that I needed and they were still estimated time delivery. ( down here in Dallas, Texas all summer The temperatures are triple digits. I take my two dogs with me almost everywhere. In the first time I took them for a ride and thought they were comfortable and the remote start. I came back out and it was blowing hot air like a oven.Kevin was like 130°. And my dogs were drooling and foaming at the mouth while I was inside of a grocery store for 14 minutes with the remote start. Once Chevy told me, there was no estimated time on that part I needed. I really wanted out. 🤷🏻♂️ My new Buick blows, ice, cold, on my remote start
Oh, yea I was about to get this one but after test-driving jetta went with it instead. Not only it feels better in every way but you get 4 cylinder 8 speed automatic instead of 3 cyl 6 speed and I paid 22k for 2024 Jetta witch is 3k cheaper than this Trax. Also, the digital tachometer is way more customizable on my base model jetta than the one on fully loaded Activ trax.I hope this will help someone
So far I really like the Chevy Trax. I like the design, the touch screen and the steering wheel with the flat bottom. And I feel it has a good price point for the market these days. Also, in my opinion it drives smooth due to it being 3 cylinders. Overall it's a great buy in my mind. Congrats on yours, hope you enjoy it as much as I do
Take off whatever you paid for freight, and youre right there. But you also paid sales tax on that original sticker price, and youre losing that money as well.

Congratulations on the new car
What is your opinion on this new 24 Trax? I have an order for this vehicle and I would appreciate your views........

I ordered and now have the 2rs and I truly wished I would have ordered 2 of them. It is an awesome vehicle for the price.

I actually got a discount on the msrp but yeah I paid sales tax, tag, dealer fee so out the door went to 25000
You are forgetting sales tax and fees in your cost. You lost more than $2K
We really paid less than MSRP but you’re right taxes and fees are added. We just base it off of MSRP.
