    Good touch including the charging handle spring I ordered one of your pro stock polymer charging handles because the spring on my factory one broke now I can fix my factory handle and put it on the opposite side

    The muzzle on mine requires a wrench or something? How would you recommend taking it off without damaging it?

    Great info, thanks! One question, why don't you make an aftermarket polymer charging handle?? You basically sell 2 things that don't work well together.

      Really good question; we are working on extended polymer charge handles right now, they should be available in about 3 weeks :-)

    The barrel nut wrench in this video is out of stock so I ordered the longer carbine one. Is that still going to work on my scorpion pistol?

    • @hb_industries
      @hb_industries  3 роки тому

      Depends on your exact model, but no, generally the pistol models (with spring tab type barrel nut) require the pistol barrel nut tool. The carbine tool is used for models with a hex type barrel nut (carbine and flash can pistol).

    At 13:16, you mention that you can remove the trunnion by simply removing the front two receiver screws. Is this correct? If I recall correctly, it appeared to me when I had my receiver halves apart that the "lip" at the front of the receiver halves captures the trunnion, necessitating the total separation of the receiver halves to remove the trunnion. Are you simply flexing the receiver halves apart enough after removing those two screws to remove the trunnion?

    • @hb_industries
      @hb_industries  4 роки тому

      You are correct, to remove the trunnion (and barrel) from the upper receiver both halves need to be completely separated (7 screws).

    Hi there
    What type /model /brand company of gun Vise do you used for this video? i'm referring to the blue vise.

    • @hb_industries
      @hb_industries  7 років тому +1

      The blue vise is made by Irwin, here is a link to their website: www.irwin.com/tools/browse/vises . They can be purchased at most big box hardware stores :-)

    is there a possibility that if I send in my scorpion to HB industries you guys could install the micro rail and cut and tread the barrel to match?

    • @hb_industries
      @hb_industries  7 років тому

      @mtsEnrique We try to focus on manufacturing and design, but can recommend several gunsmiths if you need. Please just email us sales@hbindustries.net and we can get you taken care of :-)

    Does this hand guard work with the 3 plus pistol?

    • @hb_industries
      @hb_industries  Рік тому +1

      It is not a direct bolt on... The 3Plus uses a different barrel trunnion. If the 3Plus barrel/trunnion are changed out for a standard Evo 3 barrel (5.3" or 3lug, etc...) and/or trunnion then YES you can use our Evo 3 handguards on your 3Plus

    I want to have my evo pistol with the longer hand rail and flash can into a smaller profile. Will these work with that model?

    • @hb_industries
      @hb_industries  4 роки тому

      Yes, these handguards make the Scorpion Evo very modular. You can use any of our lengths (4.25", 6.84", 11.25", 11.50", or 15.13") with your flash can pistol model

    • @mikepeifer6502
      @mikepeifer6502 4 роки тому

      HB Industries i would need the micro kid for the 4.25” one though right?

    • @hb_industries
      @hb_industries  4 роки тому

      @@mikepeifer6502 yes, you would probably want to use our 5.3" barrel or consider machining your factory barrel down to a shorter length. I guess I was just trying to communicate that all of our Evo handguards are modular and would fit over your Evo's flash can and barrel :-)

    The installation guide on your website shows torque value of 80 in/lbs for the trunnion adapter block and 65 in/lbs for the handguard screws.
    in the video, the guy says 25-30 in/lbs for the trunnion block adapter and 20-25 in/lbs for the handguard screws
    Which torque values are correct?

    • @hb_industries
      @hb_industries  3 роки тому +2

      Great question. Correct spec is in the written/supplied instructions. Up to 80in*lbs on the trunnion adapter block cap screw, and 65in*lbs on the flat head handguard screws. We need to make a new video, this one is from 2016 :-/

    I recently installed the Pakse Sapper 6.4″ Handguard and it was a little loose. I did what you recommended and only tightened it to 10 ft/lb. Any advice to press the handguard to make it tighter?

    What are we talking about weight difference wise?

    • @hb_industries
      @hb_industries  6 років тому

      The weights are nearly identical; example: OEM handguard with barrel nut: 9.615 oz, HBI 6.84” Angle with mounting block: 9.655 oz. Same with the carbine length handguards.

    • @GodGiftedArtistry
      @GodGiftedArtistry 4 роки тому

      I'm guessing that difference would be better if you're changing the carbine length plus faux suppressor with the 6.84 flat?

    Why not 242 blue?

    • @hb_industries
      @hb_industries  4 роки тому

      Loctite 243 is formulated to be slightly more oil resistant and is generally considered to be an "upgraded" version of Loctite 242. In our experience they are very similar though, and I would imagine that if you cleaned your fasteners and mounting holes well with acetone or denatured alcohol prior to installation that both 242 and 243 would yield similar results.

    I purchased the handguard for my new Carbine plus 3 and I was unable because of 1x1 inch outside threading on the barrel just before it go's through the receiver that the Trunnel would not slide over. And I could not get any answers from CZ as to why the threading was there and what purpose it served....DUH

    • @hb_industries
      @hb_industries  5 місяців тому

      The "Scorpion 3 Plus" uses a different trunnion on the barrel than does the "Scorpion Evo 3". On the 3 Plus the trunnion is threaded on the outside diameter and is not currently compatible with our aluminum handguards. We can help you with a return on our parts if you would like? Or look at possibly getting you an Evo 3 trunnion for your 3 Plus.

    How to remove carbine’s fake suppressor

    • @hb_industries
      @hb_industries  4 роки тому

      We have been able to use a strap wrench on most of the faux suppressor carbines that we have worked on here

    • @GodGiftedArtistry
      @GodGiftedArtistry 4 роки тому

      plus it has small cuts in it.. you should be able to use a flat head screw driver across both sides and torque out unless it's heavily caked with loctite in which I would use the strap wrench
