I had this same problem however mine was a combination of the new spring and the pocket as you described. I examined both the spring area, the area where the reset arm goes and came to the same conclusion as you explained in the video. I thank you for your pretty detailed review of the issue and I'm sure all who may encounter it will appreciate this video. One thing I did as well was polish the side of the reset arm with 2k grit sandpaper and metal polish making it very smooth and with the additional fix of the reset pocket I haven't had the issue since.

I fired about 100 rounds in my new Scorpion 3+ Micro with no problems before installing the spring kit, trigger shoe, and polishing the trigger surfaces. Went to the range and it worked and felt great for about another 100 rounds. Cleaned the gun and went back to the range a 3rd time and after 3 rounds had the trigger reset problem. Took everthing apart and the new spring had slipped past the bar. I put it back down and made sure the red end was set close to the edge. Took a few tries as each time I pushed the spring down the bottom end would slide to the middle. If it happens again I may try to slightly bend the bottom red part of the spring out so it will push the top part of the spring away from the side of the housing. I also may try removing the included shim washer. If that all fails, I may just get a new drop in trigger. Thanks for the video, very helpful.

It could be that the bottom/short leg of the trigger return spring (orange tip) is bent/twisted. When this starts to happen sometimes it can be difficult to get the spring straight again. Which is fine, we are always willing to ship you a replacement trigger return spring, please just call/email us and we will get you taken care of.

This tutorial helped me with my trigger reset issue, thanks! The short red end of my trigger spring wasnt sitting right, more off to the middle. Runs perfect now!

Just returned from the range, and I had exactly this issue. Brand new evo 3 and trigger spring/shoe combo. Will be trying these remedies shortly. Thanks for the video.

Noticed this video is older. About to purchase the spring kit from y'all. The factory trigger group is GARBAGE.
The paint they put on everything is what causes the atrocious pull.
I stripped all the paint, filed the hammer and took 2000 gr sandpaper to mirror finish hammer, sear and disconnects.
Now have 5lb pull with a glass snap before your spring kit. Hope to get it lower after.
Thank yall for providing these videos for all of us who arent gunsmiths.

Hey! Not sure if you are still reading the comments here, but any ideas why my trigger won't reset after firing? I changed the bolt for the nexus one and then back again to the factory, this never happened to me before. Might be something with the trigger? Using the binary trigger rn

Great video. You forgot to mention the 4th type of reset failure when either side of the disconnector has a rough surface causing friction against the tubular spacer and/or sear

Great videos HBI👍 Can you let know the make/model of the vise you use in many of your vids. Also, where did you get the soft jaws? Thanks!!

We have a few sets of soft jaws, I believe the Bessey BV-NVJ type are what we have in the videos and I think they are available it most bigbox hardware stores for around $10-$15. The vises are Irwin 5" models, they seem to work pretty well and are also available at the bixbox stores.

In the other video he used aluminum jaws to hold the trigger housing, saying it works BETTER than nylon.
So, for 13 lousy bux you can get both types of jaws here on Amazon!!

Not if you dont change the trigger or flush your pin.

The costumer needs to use a smaller chainsaw when working on trigger groups.
