I felt it brother I live in New Jersey by the Jersey Shore
there were 2 - one 4.8 and the other 5.0. They are only reporting the 4.8.
my earthquake software shows 5 earthquakes today - Whitehouse Station, NJ - 4.8 @ 10:23 am and 2.2 @ 1:32 pm. PA - Oxford Township - 5.0 @ 10:32 am. NJ Bedminster - 2.0 @ 11:20 am. And, NJ Chester 2.0 @ 1:14 pm.

I’m in Brooklyn and I felt that shaking I was in my room and it was throwing me around in my bed this was my first earthquake lasted about 15 seconds just incredible
Wow that's amazing I live in California Bay area and I know the big earthquakes coming here too I lived through Loma prieta in 1989 and that was bad
there were two - they are just reporting 4.8 but there was a 5.0 according to the earthquake program.
I only felt the 10:23am quake where I am in CT. It was confusing at first. Because i was not expecting this. I'm at the sink rinsing dishes, when I noticed the radiator was rattling a bit, then as it picked up intensity, I felt the floor vibrate and thought a truck must be going by. But it just kept going and getting stronger, and I was starting to think that the radiator was about to blow or something. Whole house was shaking fairly hard. I eventually realized it was an earthquake, and glad it didn't keep getting stronger. Thought it was going to.
After it stopped I went to my phone and started asking around, see if others felt it. And yeah they did, for some distance too. This isn't a common thing here, and it came on so randomly.
@@lancecaldwell3163my parents originally lived in CA until they were about to have me, they left to go live closer to family. But they tell me about the earthquakes out there. My father said he was in a parking lot once when one hit, said it felt sort like a skateboard under his feet.
Yup felt here in Massachusetts so it’s bigger than a 4.8

no after shock - the earthquake ortografía shows a 4.8 and a 5.0.

Yep! I live in The Bronx and was in the bathroom. I've never felt anything like this ever! I remained calm though once i realized what was going on.
My house shook for almost one and a half minutes this morning in Freemansburg PA next to Bethlehem PA.

In Sparta NJ and it felt like a domino wave as I was running down stairs I actually thought things were falling behind me. Scared the shit out of me. And I watched dutchsinse and he warned about one in NY just didn’t think I would feel it

There was a very shallow 2.2, earlier this week, in SW Indiana. It was downgraded to a 2.0. There was also a 3.0 in Illinois a week or two ago. All eyes on Madrid.

@jimmenken7779 it was just like vibrations. But in 97/98. I was living in Fort Erie Ontario. And there was a quack that actually shook.
Also 2 power plants in Ontario are built on a dormant fault line.
I live close to where it hit. And yes I felt it. For a second I didn't know what happened. But thank god it wasn't any bigger. But yeah it was weird

It was a 5.5 because Im 40 minutes out from the location that had the quake. It was super shallow for me to feel a quake. I thought the wind was blowing harder. Then everyone was texting me. Come to find out it was a quake. Gotta remind everyone, there are fault lines out here

Yes! many are saying it was like an explosion. CERN fired up just before the Earthquake. Don't know if its related but very weird.

That is a very commom sensation ti have in an earthquake onky NOT on the east coast lol. This will be a lifelong memory. Nothing like this for hundrds of years!
@@In2ThinAir oh if it’s not usually felt on the east coast, why did it feel like that?
@@jiafeiqueen The ground in the east has wayyyy less cracks and faults to absorb the shaking of the main earthquake. All the little fault lines in the west make the ground very unstable like sand so you have more earthquakes but because of the same grounds they are felt less... Nowhere for the energy to go here in the east!

I saw 4.8 I live outside of saratoga springs and felt nothing.
I’m 5 miles from the epicenter it lasted about 7-10 seconds for me. Decent back and forth rocking motion, cats freaked out immediately knew what it was definitely an earthquake it was rocking my body back-and-forth was very, very noticeable here in Succasunna

I felt that 3.2 that was a couple months ago because I live in New York near the lakes but this one hit New Jersey so I didn't quite feel this one as bad. Probably because New Jersey is a little farther away from me. But I guess don't know what's going on but I hope it doesn't get worse.

I swear I felt another after shock here in DANBURY Connecticut at noon on Saturday.... It sounded like a sonic boom, with a short duration hight pitch sound that increased pitch TILL gone in like 2 seconds...
