Give me a little clarification of what you're looking for. For geometry, like for algebra and word problems on the GED, you simply need to be able to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and use exponents on different types of numbers (decimals, fractions, etc.). Was there something specific you were unable to do. Are you getting confused on how to use the calculator to help you as you use geometry formulas or... ?
If you are an instructor, buy it. It is so worth the money for the benefit it brings your students to see how to work each problem. If you are a student, I would just purchase a handheld TI-30XS Multiview. It works exactly the same and is less than $20.

I purchased the emulator software from Texas Instruments. It was a little pricey, about $90, but very useful for making vids.
