    Well who couldn't be semi-rigid for this guitar. Some Chinese-made Epi's are now pushing 1.800 and here's a 7-string MIJ guitar for 1.000? That's amazing! I hope Vola start gutting the competition, especially those brands that jumped on the inflation excuse train (it's legit but some are obviously just getting greedy).

      All the Korean made Showmasters were made in the same factory as the LTD stuff and even some later Fender branded guitars. If it is a neck through construction and MIK it was made in the Cort factory. The Chinese made ones were still good, but the Korean made compete with higher end guitars.

    I have the JRM 6 string version of this and it's great. My only complaint about Vola is how they screwed their retailers. They went direct only and didn't compensate their dealers when they cut their prices so dealers lose our. I also didn't love that 2 months after I bought mine it was about $700 cheaper. Fantastic guitar though.

    • @agufish
      @agufish  6 місяців тому +5

      Ah I didn't know they did that to dealers. Benefit of the doubt, they're a small company, I don't know what their options were financially. That's still not very cool. But hey, you're happy with your guitar!

    Also, 25.5 inch scale length is not the issue for drop A 7 string tuning. It comes down to how its setup, string gauges being used, how hard the strings are being picked, and how well the string is sitting in the nut and saddle.

    Hey Hunter, are you still designing guitars for harley benton? There is a big lack of classic looking guitars and basses with top specs.
    For example jazzmaster ja-60 is the best you can get from Harley (I'm not including the anniversary model) and it doesn't have neither stainless steel frets, nor locking tuners, nor roasted neck. And this is a theme on all fender-style guitars. We have to sacrifice modern features to have iconic looking guitar.
    With basses things are a little better: there is an enhanced series that has all the modern features and pretty nice looks, but they're based on sandberg, not fender, so the shapes are not right, also not everybody likes having humbucker in the bridge. Better choice would be to make musicman-style bass with humbucker for the fans, and proper jazz bass and precision with modern features.
    Please consider at least something from my suggestions if you still can even a little bit affect on the brand's decision making

    Why isnt Gibson making hollowbodys anymore? (ie ES-175) I look on their website and they only make 335 and other semihollow series guitars. All the great jazz guitarists used Gibson hollowbodys, what do they even buy now? Harley Benton only makes 335 or Gretsch clones. And lets be honest....NO ONE uses Gretsch, like have you ever seen a professional guitarist live on stage using a Gretsch? The only manufacturer I can find that makes hollowbodys like the old Gibson hollowbodys is Ibanez with their George Benson signature LGB30
