I hear a little bit of Band of Gypsys (Hendrix , damnit) We got to live together.i say damnit in a humourous way .but i love Mr. johnson's playin anytime i hear anything of him , I'm honed in.i especially liked the smooth solo bit on Tom Joiner. "It was...so nice"

@@harleyrider9166 Why does Jesse Johnson have to be compared to anybody? He is guitarist/musician in his own right. Jesse Johnson is Jesse Johnson. He is not Jimi Hendrix. As a guitarist/musician, JJ is very underrated. If he wasn't a great guitarist/musician, he never would have been a part of Prince's band or a member of The Time. Prince was a perfectionist. He did not half step when it came to choosing musicians to be in his band. Gotta give credit where credit is due. There will never be another Jimi Hendrix and there will be another Jesse Johnson. And, yes, Jimi Hendrix was a beast on the guitar and is one of the greatest musicians to ever live and so was Prince. And, yes, Prince was a beast too in his own right.
@@idontknow7738 I was making a comparison of the performance not the man. If you didn’t rush to make an emotional comment you would have been able to comprehend that. Jesse Johnson is a brilliant guitar player and I enjoy him as a creative musician. That doesn’t make him exempt from criticism or performance comparisons. I criticized some of Jimi’s performances too, especially when he played out of tune sometimes. Other times he was incredible. Doesn’t mean I hate the man. It is what it is.
