Okay I just finished the episode and Kerri's husband ASKED to help out more he wants her to loosen up her "old fashion ways" and she explained that she was raised by a single father that worked so hard and had nobody to care for him. WATCH the whole episode the ending was so sweet.

Just finished watching the whole episode and basically Tombstone isn’t the issue he was super open minded along with the son and seems like a genuinely good guy. He let his wife do everything because SHE wanted to do it and wouldn’t allow him to do anything. The white wife is the issue but it’s understandable because growing up her mom left her family and her dad raised three kids alone so she kind of is stuck in her ways because of that. At the reunion she seems like a good woman and was thankful for the experience and wants to change her family dynamic in a positive way at home. She even started crying and told the black wife she wants to me more like her. Very heartwarming episode and lovely families

They also even seem to be teaching their daughter to be self-sufficient, I see no harm in that. I hate most vegetables. It is a very visceral reaction. The smell alone is enough to make me feel sick. And I'm an adult. Sometimes you don't like what you don't like.

But I don't think that is the case here based upon how the mom talked about it in the first video. I feel like the kid might not like it because of the dad because he seems to follow his dad's example. It would be different it he gave an explanation on as to why he doesn't eat it. I feel like kids usually just don't try things because parents don't try to introduce it to their diets. My brother hated most foods as a child but when he became an adult and gave them a try he loves them now. I feel like giving other options for him to eat would go a long way.

@@Miabear26 It is a hassle, having food aversions, that's for sure. In my country the school lunch is free and the teachers eat with the students, acting as role models. This can help fostering good eating habits. But sometimes it is not enough.
As adult it is easy to feel shamed when you have food aversion. I can understand not wanting to talk about it on TV.

Only time I see a women in my family serve their husbands like this is when they are at a family gathering and its still rare like they'll fix your plate up and give you a drink but after the first round you're on your own

I don't even do this and my mom and friend get so mad and I'm like my husband can get his own plate. Idk what he wants and doesn't want and I eat bigger portions than he does so what if I give the wrong portion size? He's capable of making his own plate just like I am. If he's sitting at the table and needs something to drink or a spoon/paper towel or something and I'm already in the kitchen, ok that's fine I'll bring him those items but that's it.
I have a cousin like this but not as severe; like her husband knows where the cups are if he need one. He also, may talk to her while she cook.

I don’t know why everyone is hating on Cheryl. A lot of women are conditioned to behave this way from girlhood. When all you know is being a help meet, it’s really difficult to imagine yourself with an identity outside of that.
The fact that he said "I don't want someone telling me what I can and can't do" right away honestly just tells me he and his wife have gotten where they are through mutual agreement and communication. He CLEARLY isn't "pussified" (their words) he's a real man, and adult, that doesn't let himself be stepped on, he makes decisions with his partner in a healthy way. 10/10 they're a perfect couple.
