This is the newest kit from TLR. The Losi 8ight XT/E. This is a kit that comes with the ability to build Nitro or Electric. HUGE shoutout and thanks to Horizon for sending this out to build and test! The build was super easy and a lot of fun! Totally blown away by the quality of the parts and the overall truck! Lots of changes and updates to this kit compared to older models. For a race spec rig, she definitely took some bashing with no damage other than a bent center rear driveshaft. This was just a shakedown bash so hope to get her back out soon for a longer run! Friggin SICK Brother Eric 😱!!!! Kit builds are so much fun to put together 😍. Losi makes wonderful stuff no question. I didn't realize until recently they finally went to all metric hardware 🤔. Having mixed standard and metric before was one of the turnoffs for me a few years ago. She looks silky smooth and light like a proper race rig 🥰🥰🥰. The Katars are so underrated still. No wonder Brother Thomas is also rippin them on his👌. Great job with the overview and Killer bash. Especially being new to the platform, you did an awesome job with the bench part Brother 🤗. Ohhhh....and that paint job and body support is amazing!!!! 🍻🤙🤙😎💪👊👊

So many changes too from earlier kits! Shes definitely lightweight and tricky af on 6s!👀So easy to overcorrect but a challenge and so much fun!😍I knew as soon as I got the kit, Katars were going to be the tire since she shares so much with the Talion in style and performance.❤❤May try BF LP's on her too for the rougher stuff. This was just a maiden/shakedown run and hope to get a longer run vid in soon. Just really wanted to introduce the rig and go over how I set it up. Totally blown away by its durability and for a race spec rig it's definitely bash worthy!😱💪💪Only damage was a bent center rear driveshaft! That was the buzzing noise you might hear.😜

Spending the good money on the higher end kits! You should get out to a track. You’d be surprised how difficult and rewarding it is.

@@RCDUDE81 You should put a nitro motor in that bad boy! Not too many nitro bashers out there. The biggest thing I noticed, aside from how hard it is, was the little amount of power you need to be fast at the track. Unlike bashing where I was putting the biggest motor I could in everything it made racing far more difficult. I went from over 20 bashers ranging from cheaper stuff to Tekno kits, Xmaxx, and a whole bunch of Arrmas to about 5 cars that I race now. I went to my first race a year ago and got hooked! Now I am racing 1:8 scale electric buggy and truggy and indoor 1:10 scale 2wheel stock, 4wheel stock, and stadium truck. Its been a huge change of pace. The MT410 was the only basher that I kept. LOL

Im using that hobbystar 2000kv in my tlr 3.0 truggy also and dam it really rips it will get warm im using a 16 tooth pinion losi buggy and truggy are sick kits

I want u to build it as a nitro 💥💨and lunch it🚀!! we all know electric is faster but nitro is something special and different! Still love my nitros just as much as my electrics! NICE BUILD! LOSI vehicles are usually pretty good!
great vid! i also just bought a losi 8ight xt roller, and was wondering what servo you have in? since im starting from scratch i have to figure out what all is compatible with the truck. im thinking of putting an arrma 6s motor/esc in her but have no clue what to do for the steering. thanks in advance!

I absolutely love the rc4gs! good range good tuning, and the gyro isn't bad either, (I use it for drag racing/ speed runs)

It has to be polycarbonate paint or it'll just chip off. I speak from experience!😜🤣🤣

Solid build brother. The race rigs are underrated for their durability. I've been bashing a RC8t3e since 2016 and it's still kicking. I've had less bench time with it than my 1 year old outcast 6s.

Is M2c going to be making upgrades? We need a rear chassis brace and retainer that hold brace to rear diff. And a top plate for font. The ugly one is sold one and black one wayy overpriced

I am...Might pay a visit to those nice gentlemen at some point soon..I gotta be honest the more I watch this trug in action the more I want to box my Kraton back and get this. I have ZERO build experience though so the Kraton is a good starting point, but this and Mugen are very tempting builds!
I'm about 2 hours away but have visited Mitch and the crew several times! Great guys and the shop will blow you away! This racing kit is definitely a piece of art! Very stout rig and the diffs, machined parts etc. are top notch! A fun rig to build for sure! It was my first and if you have experience with rc's, it'll be a breeze!

YES! I bit the bullet and got Serpent 811te RTR. She's awesome......My 2 cents -- get a kit not a RTR....had some issues out of box to sort threw. Kits have issues also, but it's noticed while assembling AND you know what to keep an eye on AND you know how to get to it....

Not to my knowledge. The outside shafts run so close to the arms it's nearly impossible. The center however using the Mojave front/center shaft works perfect in the rear center of the losi!

I have been looking for a 1/8 buggy or truggy to turn into a street touring car I like to high speed street bash. My Slash is not doing it any more I want higher than 4s. Its fast real fast but I want something bigger. You say in the video this is light weight so I like to hear that. I would lower the heck out of it and put the big BSR foams on it. I was looking at the Kraton 6 kit but I like the way this looks. Not sure what to pick.
Where did you get the aluminum top chassis mount, and the aluminum chassis chassis brace. Nice ripping video.
I got the aluminum parts from A Main Hobbies online. Very good quality!

I did after this first bash yes. The Mojave front/center shaft in the rear/center of the Losi.

Great vid man! Me and my Son race the Losi 8ight 3.0 buggys at our local track - they are complete tanks! At first glance the truggy seems to be quite similar so it should take a good beating - hopefully it holds up well for you!💪💪💪🙂
How has the XTE held up so far? I have heard that the older truggies had some diff issues, feel those have been cleared up?

Honestly the Losi 8ight kit is not on the same level..😜Much more premium parts and drive train. SUPER light weight as well. More of a racing rig in handling and speed. It does bash well though and M2C will be making parts too soon for the hardcore!💪The Truggified Typhon has a total different overall feel but is probably a better basher. Easier stunts etc. Both are great but this is a kit build and requires electronics, tires etc.😎👊✌✌

Awesome kit build. My favorite part of the hobby! Great paint job and driving if course 👍👏🤯😄! That "zing" in it is not normal for a racing quality kit. My last two RC8Be's are pretty stealthy sounding. Losi's at the track are quite as a mouse. Is it a tooth on the pinion or spur, drive shaft, something else? If ya find out or if it is normal, let me know. Awesome video as usual bro 👏👏😊👍!
Thanks so much! Yes it's an awesome kit!😍I pinned a comment about the noise😜I had a bent center rear driveshaft. I straightened it once but the ramp hits and landings were over flexing the chassis. I'm sure an aluminum brace in the rear will help. The front was fine with the upgraded brace.😁👊🤘🤘

Yeah I'm not familiar with the Tekno kits or this rig in a racing scene but bashing, she seemed to fly well and flat haul on 6s!😱I was running a huge graphene 6s that is way too big and heavy🤣 Compared to my Talion, she handles like a dream and the acceleration is insane!

Yeah I agree! I was working with M2C to help design and test some parts for it, but I guess other obligations got in the way. There may not be big enough of a market for this car but honestly, all it needs is a 7075 front and rear brace with also a rear bulkhead support. Hopefully one day someone will make aftermarket parts!
Loved this video, currently looking at one of these. All you can find is people racing these not bashing. Would recommend one of these? Or would you recommend something else? The Losi looks extremely well built. How did you find it handled?

It's a great bashing car too. I have several vids bashing it although it does have a couple weakness for more extreme stuff. Overall great handling rig with really nice machined parts!
Has it got some sort of AVC/TSM system? Steering looks a bit twitchy. Great Vid man 👍
No AVC or Gyro. My radio has it but its turned off. The truck is so light, it takes a lot of steering on my part to keep her straight on 6s.😱🤣🤣
Awsome brother E to finaly see you out with this racing machine. Hard to compare it to other stuff then other Racing kits. I did some impacts with mine, and so far nothing broke and i run stock braces and top, seems to be better engineered then others..

I really appreciate it Brother T!🤗Its a well engineered machine for sure!!😍😍The only problem I had was the driveshafts bending. The rear would bend on every ramp launch from chassis flex. An aluminum brace should solve that since the front center never bent with the aluminum brace!👌Such a badass rig and hoping to get her out to the gravel pit this weekend!!😎👊🤘🤘

The quality behind tlr is far better then any Arma rtr lets just say.
