Update on information: WRIDZ does provide commercial insurance. I don't know how they afford it since they only take $100 a month from drivers and Uber and Lyft claim it's 30 percent of passenger fare.
I'm going to try to interview the CEO and get better answers.
Because they don't have a CEO named Dara Khosrowshahi paying himselft $40M/ year. Not to mention the other executives in the C-suite paying themselves millions of dollars in salary and bonuses.
This is a good thing. If you are a true independent contractor then you shouldn't be full rely on these apps
One thing you forgot, what about background checks ? Who is going to make sure the drivers have background checks ?
The Minnesota Report you like Tristan states give drivers 89 cents a mile down from $1.40 a mile passed by Minneapolis council.
I say split the difference.
I'm going to cover it on the next live. Uber actually countered offered the council before the report with $1.20 per mile.
@@FutureRideshareMillionaire I wouldn’t be too disappointed with $1.20; but, Uber probably will find a way to get it back with lower fares, bonuses etc.
Have you looked into designing an app for drivers? I know I mentioned it before, but with your knowledge of the business as well as your overall intelligence, it would be something to look into.
How much to buy commercial insurance in Minneapolis, MN? Is it much more than private car insurance?
Minneapolis City Council should add to minimum wage law that Uber Lyft must let drivers make counter offers for fares inside the app to rides sent to driver, like decline-will do for (buttons➡️)25%-50%-75%- 100% more driver 💰pay, then show rider what original pay was to driver. All this real time inside the app. Then we have a more capitalist free market.
Also best way to educate the public about Uber’s price gouging and low driver pay.
Besides it is the law, Independent Contractors MUST set their own prices or they are employees, not independent contractors and entitled to unemployment !
Uber does the same thing as Empower in other countries. As in, operate illegally. And they are super busy in those places.
I just read a story about how they are getting caught and impounded.
