Some people have a whole different way of thinking. Exactly the same sort of problems are happening regularly all over Europe. It's a culture thing. They move to Western nations yet don't make enough (or any) effort to adapt to the Western way of doing things. Algae growing all over it including the windshield, snail trails (or whatever caused those squiggly lines), moss growing on the tires, tires look like they're dry rotted. Apart from all the lumber, no telling what the inside of the van looks like.

The cops were quite chill which helps in situations like these . That could have escalated quickly into a mess. The fact that you stop loading the vehicle when the people show up and you shut your truck down helps as well to slow the boiling tempers. I do know times when the complexes don't have that in there at least. But the person will still have to pay the tower because they're separate from the complex. The place where he lives should have told him it doesn't matter if it's inspected we don't want an eyesore... Then it still has to be worded in the least right. Because even if it doesn't run that can happen to a brand new vehicle that just stops running, as long as that inspection sticker is right even if it's in the lease and it has to run. Either way it's a court battle and the towing company has nothing to do with it unless they specifically have knowledge differently.

In the UK, often if you complain that a person from an ethnic minority is bullying you or you take legally justifiable action against them such as here, they immediately pull the race card to force you to back down. Where I live is mainly white, but there is a lady of mixed race heritage that clearly has issues with alcohol addiction. A pub threw her out for starting a fight she screamed racism. She went into a convenience store stealing booze and even took and icecream out of the cabinet, unwrapped it and ate it all unpaid for in front of the staff, they called the police and there you go again the racism card was played yet again. Because she did not get away with it she came back and smashed up the managers car.

The people in the video will have signed a fairly tight contract with the people that they rent that parking space from and they are clearly in breech of that contract and that is why the police have not stopped that towing from happening. The van is a complete heap of junk that does not look safe or roadworthy and it is clearly being used as some sort of storage unit that is just blocking up a space that could be used in a responsible manner by another resident.

I wonder about that, the spot had been assigned by the building management, and the "owner" had parked a tagged vehicle in the spot. Sounds like there was a contract in place and a valid ( if dirty and ugly ) vehicle was legally parked. How would a lawyer respond ?
@@brianmacadam4793 it wasn’t assigned parking? I tried to find where it might have said otherwise. I think it’s part of the issue, not enough parking spaces to have any non working vehicles.
You would have to read the fine print to make that judgement. If I pay for assigned parking and then park a properly registered vehicle in the spot I would say that I haven't breached the contract. Does the dirt on the vehicle break the contract ? What if local teenagers pull the valve stems out of the tires , does that break the contract ( I would guess NO ). What if I stored my quad in the back of the van ( again I don't think that would be a breach )

Inspectors cruise around looking for violations. If apartment complexes do not maintain certain vehicle standards, the management is fined, and if I remember correctly, it's a BIG fine per vehicle. "It shall be unlawful for any person to store or any property owner to allow storage of any junked motor vehicle in the open area on any private property except motor vehicles awaiting repair at legally licensed auto repair garages or legally licensed automobile storage yards." The fine published is up to $1000/violation. (whatever "up to" means)

I wonder about that, the spot had been assigned by the building management, and the "owner" had parked a tagged vehicle in the spot. Sounds like there was a contract in place and a valid ( if dirty and ugly ) vehicle was legally parked.

@@brianmacadam4793 it wasn’t assigned parking? I tried to find where it might have said otherwise. I think it’s part of the issue, not enough parking spaces to have any non working vehicles.
You would have to read the fine print to make that judgement. If I pay for assigned parking and then park a properly registered vehicle in the spot I would say that I haven't breached the contract. Does the dirt on the vehicle break the contract ? What if local teenagers pull the valve stems out of the tires , does that break the contract ( I would guess NO ). What if I stored my quad in the back of the van ( again I don't think that would be a breach )
@@brianmacadam4793 In past episodes, Johnny revealed that in addition to requiring vehicles to be operable, there is something in the metro area called municipal "Code Enforcement." Inspectors cruise around looking for violations. If apartment complexes do not maintain certain vehicle standards, the management is fined, and if I remember correctly, it's a BIG fine per vehicle. "It shall be unlawful for any person to store or any property owner to allow storage of any junked motor vehicle in the open area on any private property except motor vehicles awaiting repair at legally licensed auto repair garages or legally licensed automobile storage yards." The fine published is up to $1000/violation. (whatever "up to" means)
