It's a Taurus 905 review. If they want an LCR review why are they watching? My LCP has been perfect. His has been less than stellar. That's not an attack on me personally, it's just reality. As long as it fires the rounds he needs for his test it's immaterial. He has reliable guns for carry.
We can't all be 24/7 fanboys....Negative comments are just as valuable to UA-cam analytics/ad revenue, as positive comments. I personally don't give 2 sh*ts about the firearms he uses, I'm here for the great content/ammo reviews and crystal clear ballistic gel. That being said, I cheaped out and settled for Taurus products a couple of times in the past and I regretted both times. I'll never buy another.

Back in the early 1990's I picked up a new Smith & Wesson model 940 with a 3-inch barrel in 9MM. It's stainless with an internal hammer so it's double action only. They were made from about 1991 to 1998 and came with either a 2-inch or 3-inch barrel. I called S&W once to asked them a question and was told that the 3-inch barrel model was only made for one year with the remainder of the production in 2-inch. I still have the gun and occasionally shoot it. I think Charter Arms also makes a five shot revolver in 9MM and 40 S&W. The 40 would be a hand full. Keep up your videos and forget about the whinners!
@@LibertysetsquareJack Both the 40 and the 45ACP would be "Fun Guns". Father time has caught up with me, so I don't get to do as much shooting as I once did. I have a Colt 1911 series 70 that I did carry as a duty weapon at one time. Along with it I have a Thompson Contender with a 10-inch barrel in 45ACP. My real 45ACP "Fun Gun" is a custom-made bolt-action rifle in .45ACP. If I run across one of the Bull Dogs, I'll probably manufacture an excuse to buy it. Take care!

Thank you for doing this. Approximate 5% velocity loss drops a 124 grain bullet from 318 ft lbs to 287 ft lbs; not enough to make a difference, I think.
Once you get to a certain threshold, there's lots of stuff that doesn't matter anymore like over 350 ft lbs energy with 9mm HP's. Great thing about the 905, with how it's built I have no problem with running 9mm +P+ through it. Or just hot +P. I see Buffalo Bore and Underwood 9mm+P VS .38 Special+P tests in my future, revolvers only. Edit; I will have to be careful of bullet creep with the hotter rounds.
Always has been. People really overestimate the effect of cylinder bleed but it was never significant factor why people think semi-auto is better than revolver.
Sam the magazine loading 9mm revolver was one of the most ingenious things I've seen in a while! Along with the extraction added on! This guy has practical handgun world figured out. I literally never miss a video sir. Keep up the great work!

I have owned 20+ Taurus handguns, mostly pistols, and have never had an issue with any of them. Still own 3 pistols and one revolver, all outstanding firearms. 👍
Personally I'm not a Taurus fan only because I bought one that never worked good, but that was a long time ago and only my case. You do what you need to do for you, I enjoy your content and appreciate what you do, I look forward to seeing more from your channel.
I owned a Taurus model 85 steel snubby revolver in 38 special and it was a very reliable, trustworthy firearm. Never, ever, had any issues with it. In over 35 years I haven't had any problems with it. Would love to own a 605 someday as well. I have heard some other models of Taurus having some issues (like the 856 as you mentioned).
I probably have the same Taurus 85 generation as you. The trigger could be lighter but also no issues either in over 35 years!! I did replace the OEM wood grips with Pachmayr G10 for better recoil management.
I have been lucky, I bought two Taurus revolvers (605 and the Tracker) and both are great. I bought them when I started watching your channel four years ago
Many of us watching have the same issue. I'd love Smith & Wesson or a Colt but I own a Taurus. Your views are more useful than reviews for guns I can't afford.
The guy at the gun store saw I was getting a 9mm revolver, he joking was like "are you sure you don't want that Jerry Miculek performance center 9mm revolver, it's only $3,500.00.

Its those whiners that tend to squeak the loudest sometimes but the majority of us love and respect the work and reviews you do. I bought my 2nd Taurus this year as I have much more faith in their new management and the new Bainbridge GA USA plant, thats now about 3-4 yrs old. Its a Model 44 6" 44 mag/ Special revolver. My 1st Revolver! Largely thanks to your reviews and 44 Mag /Spl. Ammo tests.
I went to buy a new revolver and it was down to a 9mm or a lcr 357. The shop owner gave me a smoking deal on the lcr so it went home with me. Id still like to have, or at least try, a 905 myself.
@@LA_Commander it is the 357. Its the first gen lcr, not the lcrx. I originally wanted the hammer version, but the deal was too good to pass up. And the best mod ive made so far, other than an xs big dot, was the pachmayr diamond grip. I feel good taking it anywhere.

I have a Taurus 905 that I use "star clips" pretty much exclusively. I have some Taurus clips and several TK after market clips. While your loader is a good idea, I like the clips. I fill a bout 10-12 clips with cartridges and take them, loaded to the range, I made a simple tool for installing and removing cartridges from the clips. After the first clips are fired, I take a break and reload several. I use them just like speed loaders. Thanks for the good, informative videos.... BTW I too have several Taurus handguns and so far they are 99% reliable, no major problems whatsoever (5 revolvers from 1988, and 3 semi autos from 2017). So ignore the Taurus haters and continue with the real life, good reports!
Nothing wrong with a 9mm revolver! I love my LCR in 9mm. At first I wasn't sure about the moon clips, but it has worked out well. I also have the same gun in 357 (same steel frame) and the recoil of the124 grain Federal HST +P is slightly more than 38 +P but definitely less than 357 rounds. No issues with crimp jump after several hundred rounds. More economical to shoot vs. 38 and 357 too! Good choice!
You have definitely opened up the possibilities for some cool ballistic testing. We all talk about barrel cylinder gap, but there isn't a load of data out there. This is going to be cool. Thank you.
Used to own a 905. Was my first revolver. 10 rd 1911 9mm mag was easy to carry. First 5 rds were the moon clips, then the "Pez" for reloads. Worked so well, I now use a .357 Desert Eagle mag for my 642. Just more convenient than carrying a speed strip or speed loader. Love your vids, love the budget firearms. You always come up with creative ideas to test.
Frankly I'm glad you use the less expensive guns. Not only does that mean we get more content, but I think it is much more representational of what folks are likely to have. I have a very strong affinity to S&W revolvers and Walther autos, BUT I have had my share of guns from Rossi, Llama (micromax in my truck now), Kel-Tec, etc, etc. Hell, at one time if you looked at what most cops carried as BUGs or OD weapons they were guns from Taurus, Kel-Tec, Iver Johnson (TP22), even Jennings. Yes, Jennings (most cops are perpetually broke .. show up with a bougie S&W or pricey Colt and suddenly folks wanted to know if we were on the same pay scale, LOL). Sorry long-winded way of saying you do you and I, for one appreciate the way you make your content.
Enjoy your new gun. I've always wanted the Taurus .380 revolver, but I haven't bought one yet. It's just so cute and tiny. I bet that 905 will shoot .380s fine with the moon clips. Well again, enjoy it, and I look forward to your videos.
I've seen people do it, but from my understanding it might be similar to shooting .22 LR in a .22 Mag revolver. It will do it, but it don't shoot them quite right, case expansion and big velocity drop.
The .380 case will not headspace on the cylinder rim so a lot of blast will go past the bullet. Don't ask me how I know that........................elsullo

I appreciate the 9mm snubbie revolver test. I bought a two inch 940 back in the early 90s. Same era of the 640s that were rated for +p+. I figured the 940 would safely run 9BPLE and 124 grain +p+ Hydra Shok; possibly some Winchester 115 +p+. The hot rounds have no trouble. For the next range session I tried some 147 Hydra Shok subsonic. The gun locked up and the cylinder wouldn’t open till it cooled down. I had it sent back to S&W. Came back allegedly fixed with no explanation so I traded it for a 640. Considered having the 640 bored out to 357 Mag but decided there were better things to do. Moons with no tool are pains. I wish now I’d kept the 940 and considers TK conversions on another Centennial but also saw they recommend standard pressure ammo. Anyway, appreciate your efforts.
Great shooting and great review. I am a Firearm instructor and used to use taurus revolvers in my class one new 82 and one used. Within a week in different classes. The entire crane and the cylinder came out of the new 82. And one week later the used 82 seized up in a snap cap drill. I don't recommend them any more.
Good acquisition. I have a 905. I am hoping you do a full comparison between this 905 and a 2" Taurus revolver in 38 special. That's why I got the 905. Same footprint but possible better ballistics and maybe faster to reload or unload... thank you.
I have a Charter Arms 6 inch 9mm Revolver no moonclips has a extractor that will eject rimless rounds I carry Glock mags for quick reloads works surprisingly fast I squirrel hunt with it using ball ammo very little meat damage... And anyone complaining about what you spent your money on tell them to pound sand lol
I have 2 Taurus handguns one of which is a 9mm revolver. Both are accurate and reliable. I'm sure I probably got lucky. Looking forward to some more tests wit that 905.
Honestly they aren't near as bad as people say. They are usually fine, they just had low QC back in the day, so lemons would show up. They aren't the disposable zip gun quality rumors would have you believe. I don't hesitate to carry a taurus, and I have plenty of options in my collection.
Hey Sam 3 things, one really enjoy your work. Two people don't look at the new taurus product. I was taurus hater in the past (1990's). The new product are pretty darn good. Three don't let take the arm chair critics to heart. Thanks for doing what you do.

If you get a Taurus and it runs good, it's going to run as good and as long as a better brand. The problem is that getting a bad Taurus that has issues clearly seen in the first box of ammo, is at a higher chance of happening.
When you are testing ballistics the gun you use has no bearing. Same barrel. Same tolerances. If it fires and goes through the barrel, the price of the firearm has no bearing. Using it as a defense carry will. Reliability. But not ballistics. Please do a ballistics gel test for this gun. I'm very interested to see the results. Your video will probably be the one that makes me decide to buy a 9mm revolver or not. Your channel is my go to for a lot of this stuff. A lot more in depth testing. I appreciate the extra mile you go through to test this stuff. There will always be haters. Don't pay attention to that crap. Keep doing what you are doing. There are a lot of us that appreciate all you are doing. Don't worry about the nitpickers that will find every little thing to complain about. No matter what you do they will always complain. Always. Don't pay attention to them.
I am concerned about bullet jump in the cylinder- a known issue with 9mm revolvers. One was to test for this is to measure the 5 rounds before firing. Insert them into the cylinder, fire 4, then measure the last unfired round. I love the 9mm revolver concept btw.

Taurus firearms have gotten A LOT better in the last few years: have a 905 too & use reloaded .38S&W rimmed cartridges --> trimmed cases to 9mm length (.38S&W almost same size) & using the lower spectrum of 9mm load data = works flawlessly & make for a fun day at the range in case I forget my moonclip tool. Also, TK Custom clips are better that the Taurus ones. Cool video!
Great informative video. Keep doing what you’re doing. I work at a gun store, and see multiple people buying, just for the latest and greatest, and I’ve owned several Taurus pistols, and never had an issue, not to mention their lifetime warranty.

Back when I lived in a country that allowed handgun ownership, I ended up choosing a Taurus 605 with a 3" barrel. Very accurate, reliable, and the trigger was awesome, double action smooth, trigger pull was relatively light. Single action, the trigger pull was light and glass breakingly crisp. It was made in Brasil, though. I did have to swap the original wooden grips for rubber grips similar to yours.
Could've considered the Charter Arms Pitbull 9mm as well, you don't need moon clips at all since the extractor actually works. I wouldn't mind picking up a 905 in the near future. Certainly cheaper to shoot, that's for sure.

Nothing wrong w/Taurus for what you’re doing w/them. Some viewers just like to complain but I always learn something from your videos. The only Taurus I owned was one of their tiny .380 pistols that I eventually traded for one of the unofficial second generation LCPs that I still carry.
I like charter arms design on there 9mm they click into place in each chamber so they can extract without moonclips, but were comparing apple's to orange's at that point 🤷♂️🇺🇸
The Charter Arms has an all steel cylinder and frame as well, and the six cut rifling for the barrel. A lot of people don't even know Charter makes those pistols, sadly. If Taurus gets hate, Charter Arms gets just as much if not much more hate. It's sad that people get brand loyalty and stuff with firearms, because a lot of really good ones go under the radar as a result.
A buddy of mine had a Taurus Brazilian police revolver in 38sp, 3”” barrel, steel frame with a lanyard ring. It was one of the best shooting revolvers I’ve ever fired, really changed my opinion on Taurus.
you young man are a great asset to the shooting community. although I'm a reloader of over 45years you save me much money . if I buy a certain bullet to test I'll probably reload with 5 to 7+ different powders to find the most accurate load and expansion tests if I see a bullet you test and it fails your tests then it would fairly my tests and no use me buying a box of100 bullets that a aree failures saving me money and time . and those who don't reload buying factory ammunition ,your tests saves them money and shows what not to buy. some people wouldn't b

I already filmed my upcoming Charter Vids 6" 9mm I loaded from a mag in it, .40 Snub I LOVE Mag or Zeta6 works, and Bling LW 6shot .38 Undercover 2 I want to this week if it will stop storming. May get either an 856 UL or a 905 soon too. And my Taurus 692 has been awesome over 4 years now, and Gx4 Carry is my main Summer Carry even though I could carry others! Tons of Revolver content coming mixed in with Auto reviews. For actual pocket Backup Gun would you guys choose .40 Snub in winter, and 6 shot .38 either the Bling Undercover 2 or Bling 856 UL both 16 ounces for summer!
I have had a Taurus M380 for like 12 years and i love it. The moon clips make quick reloads and the TK custom moon clips work better than the factory ones too. One of my favorites in the carry rotation.
Sam, once again, you have not only put out an interesting video but also one with content very relevant to what I have been thinking about. That is the value of a 9mm revolver. I was particularly interested in, and happy with, the chrono results. The fact that the velocity matched the 125 38spl results you've gotten in the past makes my decision. Now I just have to decide on how important the 6th round I can get with the 38spl is to me. Your improvised loader is a great idea too. TY

Your hack with the old magazine is BRILLIANT!👏🏻 I’m definitely gonna use it at the range. But only there. I’ve got the specialized tool for relaoding the moon clips, but you’re right: it does take a while. You should patent it yourself! Definitely a very practical little gun, which I use either in the car, for a quick grab and easyness of handling, or it follows me in my pockey or ankle holster for a back up. In this case, smaller size does matter 😁 My EDC, which never leaves my body,is a much bigger gun.

A 9mm auto rim cartridge would defeat the primary reason for having a 9mm revolver in the first place. Which is ammo compatability with other arms.

I have a 6" 9mm Charter and the .40 2.3" vids coming and I love the .40 more than .38 or 9, less than 357. I want your 3"....

That's a nice get up with the pistol mag. I have heard of people using 1911 mags as "speed loaders" for Ruger Blackhawks with the 45 ACP cylinder
Thank you for doing this. Approximate 5% velocity loss drops a 124 grain bullet from 318 ft lbs to 287 ft lbs; not enough to make a difference, I think.
Once you get to a certain threshold, there's lots of stuff that doesn't matter anymore like over 350 ft lbs energy with 9mm HP's. Great thing about the 905, with how it's built I have no problem with running 9mm +P+ through it. Or just hot +P. I see Buffalo Bore and Underwood 9mm+P VS .38 Special+P tests in my future, revolvers only. Edit; I will have to be careful of bullet creep with the hotter rounds.

Always has been. People really overestimate the effect of cylinder bleed but it was never significant factor why people think semi-auto is better than revolver.

I have owned 20+ Taurus handguns, mostly pistols, and have never had an issue with any of them. Still own 3 pistols and one revolver, all outstanding firearms. 👍

I have a tendency to lean towards the pricier option, but I am always interested in and rooting for an over performing budget gun.

Personally I'm not a Taurus fan only because I bought one that never worked good, but that was a long time ago and only my case. You do what you need to do for you, I enjoy your content and appreciate what you do, I look forward to seeing more from your channel.

I owned a Taurus model 85 steel snubby revolver in 38 special and it was a very reliable, trustworthy firearm. Never, ever, had any issues with it. In over 35 years I haven't had any problems with it. Would love to own a 605 someday as well. I have heard some other models of Taurus having some issues (like the 856 as you mentioned).
I probably have the same Taurus 85 generation as you. The trigger could be lighter but also no issues either in over 35 years!! I did replace the OEM wood grips with Pachmayr G10 for better recoil management.
@Sirgromulus totally agree. I installed Pachmyr grips on mine the day after I bought it. Much better to shoot.
I like my Taurus revolver a lot. They stepped up their game for sure.

Many of us watching have the same issue. I'd love Smith & Wesson or a Colt but I own a Taurus. Your views are more useful than reviews for guns I can't afford.
The guy at the gun store saw I was getting a 9mm revolver, he joking was like "are you sure you don't want that Jerry Miculek performance center 9mm revolver, it's only $3,500.00.

I agree with Justanotherdave , Please don’t listen to anybody hating on you for whatever gun or ammo you’re reviewing. Its those whiners that tend to squeak the loudest sometimes but the majority of us love and respect the work and reviews you do. I bought my 2nd Taurus this year as I have much more faith in their new management and the new Bainbridge GA USA plant, thats now about 3-4 yrs old. Its a Model 44 6" 44 mag/ Special revolver. My 1st Revolver! Largely thanks to your reviews and 44 Mag /Spl. Ammo tests.

I went to buy a new revolver and it was down to a 9mm or a lcr 357. The shop owner gave me a smoking deal on the lcr so it went home with me. Id still like to have, or at least try, a 905 myself.
The LCR is a terrific carry revolver! You made a great choice. Did you end up getting it in 357?
@@LA_Commander it is the 357. Its the first gen lcr, not the lcrx. I originally wanted the hammer version, but the deal was too good to pass up.
And the best mod ive made so far, other than an xs big dot, was the pachmayr diamond grip. I feel good taking it anywhere.

I have a Taurus 905 that I use "star clips" pretty much exclusively. I have some Taurus clips and several TK after market clips. While your loader is a good idea, I like the clips. I fill a bout 10-12 clips with cartridges and take them, loaded to the range, I made a simple tool for installing and removing cartridges from the clips. After the first clips are fired, I take a break and reload several. I use them just like speed loaders. Thanks for the good, informative videos....
BTW I too have several Taurus handguns and so far they are 99% reliable, no major problems whatsoever (5 revolvers from 1988, and 3 semi autos from 2017). So ignore the Taurus haters and continue with the real life, good reports!

I love my LCR in 9mm.
At first I wasn't sure about the moon clips, but it has worked out well. I also have the same gun in 357 (same steel frame) and the recoil of the124 grain Federal HST +P is slightly more than 38 +P but definitely less than 357 rounds. No issues with crimp jump after several hundred rounds. More economical to shoot vs. 38 and 357 too!

Used to own a 905. Was my first revolver.
10 rd 1911 9mm mag was easy to carry.
First 5 rds were the moon clips, then the "Pez" for reloads. Worked so well, I now use a .357 Desert Eagle mag for my 642.
Just more convenient than carrying a speed strip or speed loader.

Frankly I'm glad you use the less expensive guns. Not only does that mean we get more content, but I think it is much more representational of what folks are likely to have. I have a very strong affinity to S&W revolvers and Walther autos, BUT I have had my share of guns from Rossi, Llama (micromax in my truck now), Kel-Tec, etc, etc. Hell, at one time if you looked at what most cops carried as BUGs or OD weapons they were guns from Taurus, Kel-Tec, Iver Johnson (TP22), even Jennings. Yes, Jennings (most cops are perpetually broke .. show up with a bougie S&W or pricey Colt and suddenly folks wanted to know if we were on the same pay scale, LOL).
Sorry long-winded way of saying you do you and I, for one appreciate the way you make your content.

I've seen people do it, but from my understanding it might be similar to shooting .22 LR in a .22 Mag revolver. It will do it, but it don't shoot them quite right, case expansion and big velocity drop.
The .380 case will not headspace on the cylinder rim so a lot of blast will go past the bullet. Don't ask me how I know that........................elsullo

I appreciate the 9mm snubbie revolver test. I bought a two inch 940 back in the early 90s. Same era of the 640s that were rated for +p+. I figured the 940 would safely run 9BPLE and 124 grain +p+ Hydra Shok; possibly some Winchester 115 +p+. The hot rounds have no trouble. For the next range session I tried some 147 Hydra Shok subsonic. The gun locked up and the cylinder wouldn’t open till it cooled down. I had it sent back to S&W. Came back allegedly fixed with no explanation so I traded it for a 640. Considered having the 640 bored out to 357 Mag but decided there were better things to do. Moons with no tool are pains. I wish now I’d kept the 940 and considers TK conversions on another Centennial but also saw they recommend standard pressure ammo. Anyway, appreciate your efforts.
Because of your 605 holding up with your test fire, i purchased a Taurus 605.
Great shooting and great review. I am a Firearm instructor and used to use taurus revolvers in my class one new 82 and one used. Within a week in different classes. The entire crane and the cylinder came out of the new 82. And one week later the used 82 seized up in a snap cap drill. I don't recommend them any more.
Good acquisition. I have a 905. I am hoping you do a full comparison between this 905 and a 2" Taurus revolver in 38 special. That's why I got the 905. Same footprint but possible better ballistics and maybe faster to reload or unload... thank you.
I have a Charter Arms 6 inch 9mm Revolver no moonclips has a extractor that will eject rimless rounds I carry Glock mags for quick reloads works surprisingly fast I squirrel hunt with it using ball ammo very little meat damage... And anyone complaining about what you spent your money on tell them to pound sand lol
I have 2 Taurus handguns one of which is a 9mm revolver. Both are accurate and reliable. I'm sure I probably got lucky.

Honestly they aren't near as bad as people say. They are usually fine, they just had low QC back in the day, so lemons would show up. They aren't the disposable zip gun quality rumors would have you believe. I don't hesitate to carry a taurus, and I have plenty of options in my collection.

If you get a Taurus and it runs good, it's going to run as good and as long as a better brand. The problem is that getting a bad Taurus that has issues clearly seen in the first box of ammo, is at a higher chance of happening.
Now that you have the Taurus 905, I'd like to see you do a comparison video with the Charter Arms Pitbull (9mm, no moon clips required).
When you are testing ballistics the gun you use has no bearing. Same barrel. Same tolerances. If it fires and goes through the barrel, the price of the firearm has no bearing. Using it as a defense carry will. Reliability. But not ballistics. Please do a ballistics gel test for this gun. I'm very interested to see the results. Your video will probably be the one that makes me decide to buy a 9mm revolver or not. Your channel is my go to for a lot of this stuff. A lot more in depth testing. I appreciate the extra mile you go through to test this stuff. There will always be haters. Don't pay attention to that crap. Keep doing what you are doing. There are a lot of us that appreciate all you are doing. Don't worry about the nitpickers that will find every little thing to complain about. No matter what you do they will always complain. Always. Don't pay attention to them.
I am concerned about bullet jump in the cylinder- a known issue with 9mm revolvers. One was to test for this is to measure the 5 rounds before firing. Insert them into the cylinder, fire 4, then measure the last unfired round. I love the 9mm revolver concept btw.
Never had crimp issues w my 9mm revolvers (5 of them), its an ammo issue not gun issue - i dont use remanuf ammo btw
Definitely have had crimp jump issues with new ammo. Magtech 115 gr always does it if I recall from my SP101 9mm. Every time the last round falls out.

Taurus firearms have gotten A LOT better in the last few years: have a 905 too & use reloaded .38S&W rimmed cartridges --> trimmed cases to 9mm length (.38S&W almost same size) & using the lower spectrum of 9mm load data = works flawlessly & make for a fun day at the range in case I forget my moonclip tool. Also, TK Custom clips are better that the Taurus ones. Cool video!
Great informative video. Keep doing what you’re doing. I work at a gun store, and see multiple people buying, just for the latest and greatest, and I’ve owned several Taurus pistols, and never had an issue, not to mention their lifetime warranty.
Maybe if ya found some round nosed subsonics, they would perform similar to that old .38 Super Police. Longer bullet, lower velocity.

Back when I lived in a country that allowed handgun ownership, I ended up choosing a Taurus 605 with a 3" barrel. Very accurate, reliable, and the trigger was awesome, double action smooth, trigger pull was relatively light. Single action, the trigger pull was light and glass breakingly crisp. It was made in Brasil, though.
I did have to swap the original wooden grips for rubber grips similar to yours.

Nothing wrong w/Taurus for what you’re doing w/them. Some viewers just like to complain but I always learn something from your videos. The only Taurus I owned was one of their tiny .380 pistols that I eventually traded for one of the unofficial second generation LCPs that I still carry.
I like charter arms design on there 9mm they click into place in each chamber so they can extract without moonclips, but were comparing apple's to orange's at that point 🤷♂️🇺🇸
The Charter Arms has an all steel cylinder and frame as well, and the six cut rifling for the barrel.
A lot of people don't even know Charter makes those pistols, sadly.
If Taurus gets hate, Charter Arms gets just as much if not much more hate.
It's sad that people get brand loyalty and stuff with firearms, because a lot of really good ones go under the radar as a result.
A buddy of mine had a Taurus Brazilian police revolver in 38sp, 3”” barrel, steel frame with a lanyard ring.
It was one of the best shooting revolvers I’ve ever fired, really changed my opinion on Taurus.
The loud mouthed know-it-alls are the minority here. You’re putting out the best ballistic test videos on UA-cam. Period.

you young man are a great asset to the shooting community. although I'm a reloader of over 45years you save me much money . if I buy a certain bullet to test I'll probably reload with 5 to 7+ different powders to find the most accurate load and expansion tests
if I see a bullet you test and it fails your tests then it would fairly my tests and no use me buying a box of100 bullets that a aree failures saving me money and time . and those who don't reload buying factory ammunition ,your tests saves them money and shows what not to buy. some people wouldn't b

I already filmed my upcoming Charter Vids 6" 9mm I loaded from a mag in it, .40 Snub I LOVE Mag or Zeta6 works, and Bling LW 6shot .38 Undercover 2 I want to this week if it will stop storming. May get either an 856 UL or a 905 soon too. And my Taurus 692 has been awesome over 4 years now, and Gx4 Carry is my main Summer Carry even though I could carry others! Tons of Revolver content coming mixed in with Auto reviews. For actual pocket Backup Gun would you guys choose .40 Snub in winter, and 6 shot .38 either the Bling Undercover 2 or Bling 856 UL both 16 ounces for summer!
I have had a Taurus M380 for like 12 years and i love it. The moon clips make quick reloads and the TK custom moon clips work better than the factory ones too. One of my favorites in the carry rotation.
Sam, once again, you have not only put out an interesting video but also one with content very relevant to what I have been thinking about. That is the value of a 9mm revolver. I was particularly interested in, and happy with, the chrono results. The fact that the velocity matched the 125 38spl results you've gotten in the past makes my decision. Now I just have to decide on how important the 6th round I can get with the 38spl is to me. Your improvised loader is a great idea too. TY

Definitely a very practical little gun, which I use either in the car, for a quick grab and easyness of handling, or it follows me in my pockey or ankle holster for a back up.
In this case, smaller size does matter 😁
