And no disrespect to Roy, but just from what I've seen of the two coaches, Kansas upgraded to Bill Self after Roy left. That's more a reflection on how great Bill Self is to surpass a legend like Roy Williams.

Bill Self is the 🐐 no doubt

Roy was obviously a GREAT coach, but one big difference between Williams and Self is in-game adjustments. Self is much better at making adjustments on the fly to correct things that aren’t going right. Roy pretty much believed in always sticking to his game plan even when it didn’t seem to be working. But another major difference is that, for Self, it’s been said that Self had for years told people that Kansas was his “dream job”. Self truly (and accurately) believes that Kansas is the most prestigious program in the sport because of Kansas being the place from where the entire sport evolved. Naismith really launched organized basketball from Kansas in 1898. Phog Allen essentially created the NCAA Tournament through Phog’s National Association of Basketball Coaches. Roy loved Kansas, yes, but Roy’s first love was UNC. It worked out well for both places.

@@CollegeSportsCo Roy easily destroyed Self during his time at UNC and Selfs time at Kansas from 2003-2020 - 3 National Championships to 1

@@stonecoldku4161 I guess you can’t read. I clearly stated 2003-2020. And I don’t give a rats about the other things you listed. Roy has more championships..

Yes! Late Night actually used to be late at night - go figure! One year the T-shirts were themed like the Late Night tv show. (Too bad they didn’t find footage of Pollard hamming it up in the skits or dances before the scrimmage.) Wasn’t there a date that they were allowed to start practices or something, which was why they couldn’t start until midnight? I can’t believe how “soft” things have gotten at Kansas in the Self era! 😉

I agree with Pollard. Don’t yell Chiefs at the end of the anthem. It’s not Arrowhead. Keep Kansas the focus
