Lmao. I have similar stories. Some crazier and some the same. Would anyone care and listen to them bc I want a UA-cam channel like would you listen to it? Ps sweet name haha
Yup. A lot of addicts have similar stories, but what makes Jess so special is that she managed to correct her life early on in life. She has a lot of wisdom for her age.
Jessica, I just found you a week ago. Binging all the videos. I'm an opioid addict and have been clean for 9 months. You have inspired introspection and an honesty with my loved ones (one in particular) that I'm finding is life saving. I'm a good writer but yet I cannot find the words of how important your stories have been in my continued recovery. You are amazing and I love that you can put such honesty out there for all to see. You are doing such important work.
The lengths we go to stay in our insanity doesn’t compare to complete abstinence! We think staying clean is impossible but with brutal honesty,we can see that living in our addiction was worse than getting clean no matter what!
Whoa! This is such a powerful story. You’ve been through so so much and to sit there now and say you love yourself and giving words of encouragement to people who are out there suffering is truly inspiring ❤️
These stories always worry me because I think of someone that I care deeply for, she’s at a point on her life that she cares more for these things than anything else
Just found this channel at 4:30 AM this morning getting up from work. Bringing back lots of memories for me. Reminds me how grateful I am to be alive and that regardless of how hard it is to see how activism helps people at first, it's so important to get dirty and dig in to fixing our broken criminal justice system. There's a reason other nations won't even extradite anyone here due to how inhumane our prison system is.
I have PTSD after almost being raped and being abused by family members it’s been a year and a half and I struggle with it so much. Being home alone sucks and is so scary
I just wanted to say I am so proud of you. In the span of a year and couple months I have seen you and your family accomplish so much and it is amazing. I've been watching for over a year and have learned so much from you, so thank you.
Thanks for sharing ! I think so many people don’t understand that for many , the shame - what a worthless emotion - keeps us sick and keeps us from picking ourselves up and moving on . Don’t shame yourself and don’t shame others ! Great message and to hell with the haters - as if they’re perfect . It was like night an day an to this day I won't even steal a candy bar from the store. Great message at the end she right you can bounce back you just gotta do it that's all their is to it.
You should be proud of how far you came from your previous life. I do want to take risks because I feel I need to take back what is rightfully mine, and achieve what I wish to achieve. but using or selling drugs is definitely not the way to do this. What you said in this video reinforces that belief so thanks.
The your point about stricter gun laws, in the circles you were running in it was much easier to get an unregistered gun then your average person. But the stricter laws argument is more for preventing mass shooting in schools, churches, etc bc usually these guns are are usually purchased legally. Mentally ill 18 year olds who plan on shooting up a school usually have no idea how to find a black market gun so it helps in that case. Also people struggling with suicidal thoughts can go into a shop, purchase a gun, and off themselves that same day. Again your average person has no ties to the black market so stricter laws like waiting periods and mental health checks can prevent this as well.
I was a great Mom until I got addicted and it cost me the last few years of my kids childhood, I didn't lose them but I just wasn't there anymore and by the time I got straightened out it took me 6 years to get their forgiveness but I did get it Thank God and my advice to you as sisters in addiction is to live each day in a way that would make your kids proud if they were watching and don't forget the Golden Rule, forgive yourself & accept responsibility for your actions & grow from it without punishing yourself over it. You got this.. don't forget that. 💜💙💚
As someone who has served as a police officer, I agree with you regarding “gun control”- I arrested hundreds of convicted felons/other persons illegally in possession of firearms, and not a one of them acquired them legally.
As a Colombian that sees Pablo be glorified every single day, lemme tell you: the reason the lifestyle is sooo attractive is that people see the money, see the houses and the cars and the girls and the planes... and they think "I can have that but I am never ever getting caught" how do I know? I used to do charity work in our vulnerable neighborhoods and had a ton of kids tell me that they wanted to be a "capo" when they grew up and that they were never going to get caught. Also, the point of strict gun laws is that not every middle-class kid is able to have access to illegal guns. You were in that world, so yeah, it was easy. But not everyone that shoots up a school knows where to score drugs and get a semi-automatic, they just get them at Walmart.
But the vast majority of gun crime has nothing to do with “shooting up schools”. Most crimes committed with guns are committed by convicted felons or others who acquired gun illegally, and which “gun control” would not affect. And, what’s wrong with acquiring a firearm at Walmart? Would you prefer Lowe’s? Home Depot? Why does the company matter?

You say like a lot of people that you can walk away at anytime but until an addict reaches their rock bottom then no amount of getting clean and sober will work. The amount of shit I caused and got into was unbelievable but until I realised my addiction owned me, my previous attempts never worked more than a day or 2.
