This is the FIRST time I've heard who wrote "Cold Hard Truth". This version is by Far...my favorite version...and from the Writer himself!!! This Arrangement, O'Hara's Vocals and the Video told the story SO CLEARLY...I was moved to find out who could have written such timeless wisdom. "Taking more than you give, movin' on when you're done" Jamie O'Hara wrote a Masterpiece...and sang it like none other.

I always used to play this song to my ex husband when we were very young, and had young babies. He just never would listen to this song. We didn't make it...he is still pretty much the same. I LOVED this song...Jamie O'Hara had SUCH A GREAT VOICE. It's such a haunting voice and song. I MUCH prefer this rendition to George Jones'. Not knocking George at all...just love this version.
Jamie O'Hara is not just a fantastic writer and singer. He is a Grammy award winner, one of the top 2 harmonizers in all of country and pop music of all time. A genre breaker, and a really good ad Godly Man! The last part is the most important. He loves the Lord! Second only to Phil Everly
I first saw Jamie on a TV show called 'Legends' hosted by Loretta Lynn. I've enjoyed his singing, and his songwriting even more so, since that time. This man is a jewel of songwriters in Nashville and deserves more recognition. Thanks for the post.

The Cold Hard Truth is something we all have to face at some point in time. I prefer Jamie's rendition of the song as opposed to George Jones. No one sings a song better than the writer , especially when you have a voice as great as his.
George Jones is a legend, but his version of this song is not even close to this version. I first heard this song years ago and I though Jamie O'Hara would be superstar. A beautiful song that sounds a lot like my life, and a great performance. Boy, I love that girl in video too.
