A Hail Mary for this beautiful family who knows struggles and uphill climbs of raising a good family. God Bless this family, all viewers and God Bless the whole world; no exceptions.
Oh Janelle - you made me smile- I guess it’s easy to look at you and Ken and your beautiful family and think you never experience any frustration! I love spending time with you each day.🙏 God Bless You🙏
Janelle, I can understand your impatience. I have a special needs sister whom I love very much. By the end of the weekend, I was frazzled and lacked PATIENCE! I was lacking obedience to God. It was at the grocery store as well. So I know if you can do it, so can I. Thank you Ken and Janelle for all these wonderful videos that seem to hit so close to home. May God Bless you both!
Ken, today's Catholic Minute was very philosophical and very true. It was good I had my coffee with me as I listened, it was literally and figuratively very awakening.
I'm so thankful for this Lenten series. Thank you for the time and effort that you put into producing it. God bless you and your beautiful family this Lenten season.
I needed to hear this! I definitely have days where I feel "done" and lose my patience, and choose to have my coffee or listen to a talk instead of tending to the needs of our kids. And at the end of the day I usually feel awful, instead of revived. The guilt of not spending that time with them when I wasn't actually busy lingers. It's not a good feeling. This reflection was a good reminder to pay attention to what my duty is in the moment, and to be obedient to it. Thank again.
Help me Lord to be obedient to you always. To yield on your will . Even if the situation is inconvenient for me, increase my love and faith to you O Lord🙏
Where else can we find such beauty and Truth expressed for every day living? Ken and Janelle, your wisdom is from the Holy Spirit. Even from the pulpit we are not always hearing such clear messages of our Catholic Faith and how to live out our faith day to day. Bless and protect you and your family. I find myself crying hearing this video. You’re guidance is much needed in todays world and I’m so so grateful to you both!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🏼
I loved this video…thanks! Your statement ‘we must renounce our own will in favor of God’s divine will’ and how it relates to our freedom was right on!
Blessings to both of you. These messages mean so much. Janelle I was done too this morning after a week of a grumpy ill hubby, I just wanted a quiet alone moment this morning. You both make it feel so much easier to cope. You make life so much lighter❤❤❤
Very True As a Catholic,Our Freedom has to begin with God's will and end with his will,For his greater Glory. We misuse our freewill which God has given us if we start making decisions and choices according to worldly standards.Without obedience we can't please God ,& and find ouself in Spiritual n personal mess.
Truly enjoy all your reflections. Janelle, your little shopping expedition brought back memories for me shopping with all of our children when they were little. May God continue to bless you and your beautiful family. 🙏🏻
What stands out is sharing your imperfections. That is something we can all relate to. I remember Mother Angelica saying she wished 30 yrs of purgatory for those who wrote about saints as if they were perfect.
I am thankful for your guidance thru this Lent. The videos help me !!! May God bless your family and provide you with His grace to help you fulfill His will. ❤
It is so hard having a neighbor making noises like dropping dumbbells above your ceiling and waking you up early in the morning when you haven’t had a good nights rest. This happens often. I’ve done all I could put a transfer to the third floor and still no openings plus looking for a different place to move out of here rent is so high and much more. What to do. Lord give me the grace to be obedience because I can’t only with you Lord I can. Thank you Ken and Janelle! Like I said, once before, diamonds are made under pressure.
Thanks For your honesty!! Gods will and what we ought to do can be so hard….in those moments it’s so hard to do it with a grateful and peaceful heart. I need to be better at not doing the things for the kids and the family specifically cleaning begrudgingly!!! I need to try to be happy and grateful I get to do those things!
Ken you ask that we share below, what an honor to share for I so want to share the gifts of the Holy Spirit. As I see you both share your life, I can see the Holy Spirit active in our world. Thank you both for letting the Holy Spirit be active and living the great gift of being parents and teachers for all
…also Janelle and Ken. Thank you for your honesty how hard being obedient to each moment really is. You may not realize how powerful your stories were. Both of you freely chose the will of God in the moment. Obedience is not easy even in everyday tasks. ❤️
Janelle, use a piece of toilet paper to "hide" from the flusher!! My daughter was terrified as well! Thanks for the laugh and reminder that we all struggle... even the people who look like they don't!
That was a fantastic way to explain covenant & duty. I know someone personally who needs to hear this right now, but the person is too far down the road to really "hear" anything now.
This reflection pairs perfectly with Ascension's Day 72 Bible in a Year. We don't do what God calls us to do but what we want or what we think is right. Not what God commands. Not God's will. Our will. How many of us have strayed from His will for our will... our family's will, our neighbor's will, our government's will. But not God's will. What is God's will? First. Foremost. Are we teaching that to our children (even adult children) and our grandchildren... even adults?
Hi i love your marriage, gives me hope of a loving catholic marriage and your guidance is appreciated........ I have a request...i know this is out of the blue but can the two of you do a video on the gethsemane prayer?but in a voice that doesn't make someone sleep coz it's quite a long prayer.
What I find funny and not at all funny actually is when if you make a list of the order of things in the grocery store if there's no use because often they change things around in the store and make you run around looking for it anyway
Oh who I need patience. I also need guidance. Helping others of course, but what do you do in the process of someone is abusing your help? If you lend your weedeater to someone and they do not return it. Then they ask to “borrow” your lawn mower and do not return it. The list goes on and on. Your help others but there are those out there that take and take. Givers must put limits because takers have none. So where is the line crossed from helping others to being used. It is a gray area. If we do not help, will God be upset? Does the rule of 7 times, 77 times 777 times apply here?

Really good discussion today 🤔.
Please pray. For my father eugenio perez ❤ he had a stroke. Thank you

Freedom has boundaries and responsibilities. What we are seeing today is license, actions taken too far and into extremes.

What about St. Paul’s admonition to submit? Isn’t that part of obedience? I will refer you to Stephanie Gordon’s book, ‘Ask Your Husband’!

We shouldn't confuse freedom with licentiousness.
