6:10 "Alpha Omega Preamp. The name sounds churchy!" ha! :D Great rundown!

Chorus pedals are great fun, especially if you're look8nf for that 80's era bass tone!
There was a tuner pedal mentioned on one of those boards (at 7:01) The Peterson Strobe, is a tuner.
Pre-amp pedal essentially creates overdrive, or more accurately, emulates the front-end of the amp.
I do love a good compressor on a bass. I also recommend the MXR Bass Compressor. It behaves much like an 1176 (studio rack mounted compressor). Any more, my bass 10:54 pedalboard only consists of a Boss MS-3 which has every effect Boss catalog, and three external loops to add any of your favorite pedals from any other manufacturer. My amp has its own DI built into it, so no need for one on my board. Though, I do plug into one before my rig whilst recording just to get the pure sound of the bass to process later and blend with the sound of my rig.

I will need to think about the DI when recording.

    Hey DI,
First of all thank you for reading my comment👍
Just wanted to add that I play an Ibanez sg405 5 string. All I need at church is my 5 and my pedalboard going direct into the Midas m32 and I'm very happy with the worship setup. I use Shure Se215 in ears on the P16 and it's groove time🙏

I would highly recommend the EQ -200. I purchased mine about 2-1/2 years ago.
I also have a Source Audio EQ-2 and Wampler EQuator - both very fine pedals (used on different boards); but the EQ-200 is my favorite of the bunch.
True stereo processing (or you could just use one channel to run your direct to amp signal, and the other for the effects loop, if you choose).
Dead simple operation (What you see is what you get - no dialing through menus or fumbling around with awkward controls, and, as you would expect from a BOSS stomp box, it's made like an absolute tank. Super handy graphic display, and four easily programmable EQ presets directly accessible right on the pedal, without the need for any other foot switch.
I've used it on guitar (acoustic and electric) and keyboard setups, and it is equally suitable for either.
It's also MIDI-capable, with 1/8" connections), if you ever decide to do a MIDI setup, later down the road.
The only down-side I can see is that it requires 175 mA to run it. You'd have to use one of the 400 mA outputs on your ISO5, to power it properly.
Easily the funnest EQ pedal I've ever owned, so far :-).
I had no idea you had two pedalboards! They're kind of addicting, huh?

I am always trying to improve my set up. EQ is definetly on my mind!

I think you would love having a chorus pedal

Yes, get a chorus. I love that underwater feeling during softer, slower parts. Highly recommend the ehx bass clone. The heart of my rig is the hx stomp. It can cover just about everything and more. It is my comp, octave, fuzz, chorus, amp/ cab, and eq. i run a polytune into the source audio aftershock (gives me 2 overdrives/ preamp options) into the stomp. All on a board made of 3d printed brackets from reverb and wood from the hardware store.

@@realbeal I would look @ the tonex one too. As it will give a lot of high quality amp options.

Great video, Di! Like the Q&A format! Appreciate the tip on the polytuner!

If you’re playing amp-less, I HIGHLY recommend a preamp (with DI), but be careful, pedals can become an addiction.

@@realbeal I’ve had several, but my favorites are the Hartke Bass Attack v1 (sounds amazing but sometimes sucks to much mids and gets lost in a rock mix), and MXR M80 which I use now (until I change my mind again).

@@realbeal I have the bass attack 2. The drive gets into fuzz a little more quickly than I prefer but nice and simple overall. I have a third FS which allows you to toggle the mid cut/ boost. I run a mild mid cut so when I turn it off I get a relative bass boost

Can you do a video or a series of videos where you demonstrate how you are using your bass pedals? For example the sustain? Maybe playing some riffs with a clean signal and then with your different pedals turned on?

I have made complete videos on each pedal. This is the Sustain video:ua-cam.com/video/ePM5e7nd4k4/v-deo.html

I'd like to be able to run a DI again but I'm not playing "out" at real venues that have a FOH system. Hopefully soon.
edit: a chorus pedal is a lot of fun on bass. I think you'd really like oen even if you might not use it often

Hello RealBeal! I've been having the Boss EQ-200 for 2 years now. I use it for everything really but at the given moment, I'm only using it with my bass guitar. With the different EQ settings from the presets, it sounds as if i am toggling thru different kinds of pick-ups. I use the Boss Hyper Fuzz Pedal FZ-2 along with my EQ pedal but i don't recommend the hyper fuzz for church. Too heavy! Haha...
