16:14 hey bro! Im the official full time nebo monuments trail maintenance guy. We dont do volunteer days very often. And a manor reason hayes has gotten so rough is the amount of rain we've had in short periods. Hayes is always at the top of priorities for cleaning but out of 28 miles it aint easy lol. Love the feed back btw 🤙
Nice! I am telling you with these cheap budget forks that rely on grease give the stanchions a small coat of slickolieum grease on them and pump them up and down a few times to get the grease worked in and wipe almost all the excess grease of the stanchions and these budget fork respond and run much smoother and helps them last longer too!
I think I seen a video not too long ago where someone brought one of these to a service center of some sort, and internally this is a decade behind 'brand' forks. Go look for 'rebuild kits'. There is no official support for maintenance, but you will find links to Ali for the air damper part so you can replace yours when it breaks.. it will cost you around 25 bucks plus shipping. I'm all for budget, but I think as with most things, it's better to get a good second hand one from a reputable brand instead of this ESPECIALLY on the long run. That second hand fork will keep working for a long time, and if you picked right from a good brand you will be able to get service parts for it for a long time for when you do need to replace seals and wipers and what not. I still think this is an excellent 'first time review' btw, I know people who've ridden these things and they do feel good. At first. Ride it for a month then give us a new review.
Right now you can actually get a brand new rockshox yari, lyrik or pike for like 30-50% off . A lot of sales been going on in past year. Also on fox. I personally wouldn't run a budget fork.
After messing around with many cheep air forks the way to make them super plush like rockshox is to empty air piston oil and replace with a few ml of rockshox 15wt asnd aslo replace grease in lower legs
Would this fork work on the Ozark Trail Ridge? In your review of the ridge you said it had internal races, so would the taper fit? And why didn’t you cut the tube? Just so you can transfer it to another bike, or some other reason?
I have a Bolany ZTZ fat bike fork with adj rebound. I would say it's more for light-duty riding than for downhill. I like the fork for the price as it has a straight steer tube and the rebound works great.
Really like the looks of this fork. I may actually consider buying one if all reviews are good. I'll also be holding out for a potential 34 mm stanchion/ 140mm travel version, if there ever is one.
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS I'm really amazed by the increases in quality of "budget" bikes and components. I'd like to see a test on the Hyper Carbon V2(version 2.0). The only Walmart bike I know of that ticks all the boxes... carbon frame, tapered head tube, front and rear boost wheels with through axles, and much more. Dig one up and I'll do my best to buy you a cup of coffee. ✌ love the channel. My favorite budget bike channel.
Lil Squatch watched this episode and sat through the entire thing! I'm going to guess a score of 31. Looks like a nice fork. I have a Bolany, forget which model but it has the remote lockout
You definitely should consider WPL fork lube boost. I think alot of the locking up feel is because fork seals get dry when using fork. Especially when stanchions get dust on them. It is biodegradable and is $12 a bottle on Amazon. I bet you would not see that fork lock when using that lube.
Great review as always guys. Is it possible for you to check out the bolany or bucklos inverted dual crown fork? It looks so good but I can't find a single review for it online
Usually they have issues first day of hard riding. Did they make improvements? Bucklos made some improvements for 2024. Like to see how they are after a few hard rides. Bolany says 100mm of travel with 120mm exposed
Seems to perform really well. The question with these forks is how durable and serviceable are they? For not much more you can get a low end name brand fork that will last and have service kits available.
Don't be insecure about the ears. They were hard earned. That being said mine are covered up for half the year because they get painfully cold up here near the Canadian border in NY.
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS Only time I regret having these ears is when I meet a former wrestler. They almost always go for an arm drag when I try to shake their hand the first time. lol
Man I got scared for you at first but damn that fork is amazing. My Bolany oilslick fork is 4 years old now and it has been over mountains running light xc trails but it never failed me. I gave my bike to my son and he also loves the fork it is smooth as day 1. All I have to do is put a little oil on the stancheon seals and that is all. My brother even said the fork is smoother than his rockshocks judy silver tk and I agree. My suntour epixon is tuned perfectly for me but I have to to a lot of things but the cheaper fork with its simplicity is just great. Using the old bike it brings back good memories I can say.
Excessive cartilage due to repeated impact or compression of the soft tissue in the ear. It's common among many sports like judo/bjj but also happens with striking so boxing/mma
Next time lol. Years and years of grappling on the mats. No gi grappling and wrestling. The cartlidge separates from the skin die to high amounts of pressure and trauma. Fluid builds up between the two and the cartlidge begins to grow.

My favorite part of your videos is when you tell your dad you love him before you ride.
I like how you review the forks by actually riding it.
Thinking of getting a Bolany RN

Ballistol mineral oil is best on stanchions. It seals and conditions rubber.

Love the show , you guys are awesome.
Fantastic review... I am wowed by this it would make for a great upgrade for a old mtn bike used for computing on the streets where I live.
Word to the young men out there. If the opposition has collieflower ear, just walk away lol
he could just be really bad lol spends time pinned to matt ear on matt wiping it constantly.
The key is cauliflower ear and someone who tries to not fight. Be very afraid of that person.
That fork looks great for a budget fork. Looking forward to the September meetup.
Oh hell yeah!!

Great real time review! That steerer tube is dangerously tall! 😂
Woo hoo another video.
Yes Sir!! Nice to see ya brother.

I would be willing to bet there will be one! We actually hope so

Might consider this for my Al comp, currently still using the stock fork.
Great review ❤
Thank you so much brother.
Sounds like a good fork! I wonder if it is worth the extra 50 for the consumer to get a Judy instead though? Will be interesting to see how it scores.
18:08 😂😂😂😂 i picked that bottle up not long after

Great review. Which mongoose model is that?
That's the Mongoose Ardor. Favorite frame!!
Seems to perform really well.

The replacement parts and consumables for it are widely available. Heck, you can even build a fork from scratch with all aliexpress parts only
Try the GU chocolate flavor it is good , I use GU and Mint Chocolate Cliff bars for my rides
What helmet are u using in this video??
What front tire are you running?
Can you guys test suspension forks from Temu?
do you want him to die? lol
Brother can you review the sagmit evo 3 air fork?
Hello from Sweden. L9ve your channel. Regarding Ltwoooooo. Do you have a test of the TX12 coming up?
Hello! That's awesome and thank you. You knowntheybhave not contacted us over that model, but let's see!
@WOLFTICKVIDEOS I have both the AX12 and the TX12. The later is fantastic. I hope they send you the TX.
What headset did you use on that bike
I'm tempted
Need to name it "Chuck's drop"!!!
🤣🤣 YES!!! Next time fo sho!!
@@WOLFTICKVIDEOS we need to put a sign on a close by tree.

Much love brother, not one bit insecure!! Just a joke, I am very prideful of these hard earned ears as I'm sure you are as well! Thank You 👍🏻

that steerer tube scares the hell out of me , that could destroy the baby maker
Or the Chin!!! 🤣🤣🤣
I want to build that MTB Now! It’s ridiculous to have to be forced to pay $1,000.+++ for a capable performance MTB!🤘🤙🏻✌️

Doesn't bucklos make lutu, bulony, ztz 🤔?
Cauliflower ears are a sign of badass and certainly not a thing to be to conscious about ;)
Thanks brother, I am very proud of them lol. Appreciate the comment 🙏
Yea buddy
Lets test it ; SENDS it on a DH trail!!!!
😂😂😂😂działa super...przez 3 miesiace😢😮
Nice cauliflower ear
Explain cauliflower ear to viewers.
Thanks

Randy Couture explained it well in the Expendables.
Next time lol.

dude are you a fighter? you got some cauliflower ears going on..Not judging :)
Bologna? 😮
Here in the Philippines, cyclists with more common sense avoid that brand.
Im looking for 20" forks for my son's bike. Hes only 7. Choices are very very limited and looking at forks by this company
