You’re right this was a great arrangement!! Her harmonies are always perfect!! I love that they sang this in a Quonset ship! We have a couple of quarts of shells on her farms and the acoustics are really interesting inside!! Home free and other a cappella groups that deserve to be heard on the radio are not given airtime… Seems really unfair when there’s so so talented! Nice reaction!!
I think this is one of their best. Those bell tones behind Rob's first lead knock me out. Luscious harmonies, perfect percussion (Ruppitup, indeed), and amazing leads. Gorgeous.
This was from Season 5 of The Sing Off, when Home Free came back as a guest. The judges and Nick Lachey joined the song one by one, so it’s really hard to hear these guys for most of the song. I did hear Tim on the show. Like a steel rail. Holding the whole song on track. I really like this version. But now I have to check the version you mentioned. Thanks
Great reaction! 👍🏼 One of the songs I have been listening to for as long as I can remember. (I'm from 1963) First the LP, later I always had it on one of my cassette tapes, then I got the CD and in recent years I usually have it on one of my playlists. Although many versions had been released in the meantime, it was usually the version by Ben E. King or Otis Redding. But from now on it is the version of Home Free that is on my playlist and no other. Alternating the lead between Austin's powerful voice and Rob's silky soulful voice just sounds so beautiful and fantastic. Then the unparalleled vocal percussion, truly phenomenal. The great bass and beautiful harmony are the finishing touch.
This is such a great classic song from Ben E. King back in 1961. The Home Free guys did an awesome version as always. Love their arrangement on this cover. Great vocal leads by Austin & Rob. Tim's bass really stands out for me in this one. And Adam's tasteful vocal percussion is on point.
Hey Pappy D👋Home Free just has a way with these beautiful classic songs. I love the way Austin and Ron trade off doing their own thing and then harmonize together at the end. And you’re right…this arrangement is perfection! See you next week.
You're gonna like 'Cruise'! All of the first releases from their 'As Seen on TV' albums have been really well received by fans. Hopefully 'Colder Weather' is soon. Haven't seen Chance up front in way too long, but he had a part in their Official Video.
It’s soooo good. I love this one. Those harmonies are exquisite. Loved the bell tones and that slowed down part…man so good. Good reaction Pappy D. I agree they’re magical!!!🥰😍
I love Adam Rupp's additional harmony during the breakdown and on the last Ooooo at the end. Also, those handoffs between Austin and Rob were out of this world!
So gorgeous, the handoffs between Austin and Rob were so smooth! And the harmonies so perfect and of course Adam’s beat boxing on point! Such an awesome arrangement! These guys never disappoint!🔥🔥🔥 Always love your reactions Pappy D!👍
Home Free does more than justice to Ben E. King's 1961 classic. The singing, harmonies & beatboxing, as always, are terrific. No glitz, no frills - just letting the music speak for itself is perfect. Radio stations now are so genre-specific (alll hip hop, all classical, etc.) and they can't pigeon-hole acapella into one of those niches. I can remember when the Beatles, Johnny Cash & Peggy Lee would all play consecutively . . .
Thank you for shouting out the version of this song from 2017's Power Rangers. I haven't seen the film so I didn't know that version existed. I've since found and downloaded it! :) Cheers Pappy! Great reaction!
This was actually the last song they sang on the show. I believe it was filmed for the next season that never happened. If you want to see it you can find it on their channel. Austin actually has it on his channel too. They did an absolutely amazing job with this version. I always enjoy watching your reaction to these guys.
They're having a lot of fun with these Sing Off songs and this one is absolutely beautiful.
Arrangement is probably Darren Rust the 6th member of HF! 😊
This version by our guys is phenomanol.
Great reaction and nice to see you doing these again and hope you're doing well. These guys do a fantastic job i love this version a lot.
I loved your reaction. Such a great song. 😊

It’s nice that we get the complete version of Cruise. I still prefer their Sing Off performance.
So beautiful. I absolutely adore these guys. Thanks for the Home Free reactions.
Great reaction! 👍🏼

It’s always a treat to hear Adam join in the harmonies!

They killed this. I'm so happy they covered this song❤
This arrangement is SO good - just perfect. Thanks Pappy! 🖤🍟
Been waiting for your reaction and you didn't disappoint. Home Free never ceases to amaze.

Thanks for a great reaction Pappy! This song was like a warm fuzzy blanket for me, just love these boys! ❤
They make me melt every time!!❤
Perfect arrangement; perfect vocals!
Great job Pappy! Thanks
Awesome, beautiful. 🎼🎵🔥🎶🔥🦋

When Adam does something that blows my mind I call it him "DissRUPPted me" 🙃🤣🙄
DisRUPPted
Foust-ed
Rob-smacked
Any others I missed?
Chance-afull

Always love your reactions Pappy D!👍
This is so awesome! Ben E King would be so proud! Love your reaction! ♥
Never one of my favorite songs but I LOVE this version.
Thanks Pappy - this was fab and so loved you watching and enjoying it.❤️

Simply outstanding.
The Sing Off version is okay; this version is spectacular! It’s Home Free being Home Free, not pre-scripted by the Sing Off directors.
The other video of this is great too. It also shows their funny side
Great reaction!
It ie arrangement Rob filled in for all the other singers on the Sing Off version the ending chords are identical.
Clean and blow out your keyboard.😘
Knocks your socks off?
