I rank all the Download festival lineups and other things to determine which are classic and which were by the numbers, enjoy, like and please subscribe :)
Thanks for bringing back some memories I'd completely forgotten about the bee circle pit. There was also the dust bowl in 2009 which sent peoples tents up 20ft into the air. For me the walk to the stage and the bad sound nearly killed 2008, I remember a couple of girls who had twisted ankles or trying to walk with injuries crying along the road to the stage because they could not make it.
Woah! dude I knew you were a Download veteran but I didn't know you have been going since 2005? Damn I'm hoping I can keep going for years, we'll see after this first time this year. I know it's not what you're into but I notice Opeth played at a lot of these earlier years.. Opeth being one of my favourite bands ever I'd flip if they went to a new one one of these years.
You forgot to mention that Metallica were at Download 2003. They played a secret set on the Scuzz stage (second stage) while the main stage (from what I remember) had Apocalyptica on it. Guess which band I was watching........ yep - Apocalyptica. :(
How can you say that nu metal changed things for the better. Download is nowhere near Monsters of Rock. And some of the bands you mentioned are a young persons choice. If you old like me no one beats Kiss, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Whitesnake etc

If I remember in 2004 Velvet revolver played the tent.. as a surprise

I'm oooooooooold school dude, yeah I like Opeth a lot but didn't get into them until 2011ish so didn't watch them back in the day

"I stayed by the tents and didn't see any bands because I'm an idiot". Story of my life sometimes 🤣🍻
TheDilCam Hahahaha we’ve all done it dude, guess we are just doing it at home this year 😂
@@simon_bond Haha true mate, can't wait for the second part of this though. Only started going in 2016! 🤘
Wow! 2009 Saturday - ffdp, devildriver, hatebreed, down, dragonforce, pendulum, the prodigy and then slipknot all after each other! That’s amazing!
I know!!!! That entire weekend lineup was insane, no idea how they book it, must have cost a fortune 🤘🏻
Wasn’t it in 2006 that G&R were late then barley played and caused riots?
Nu-Metal is not a bad word!! 🤘🤘
Download 2008 got crushed by reading 2008 because Metallica and rage played reading
