  • Mielle Organics was put on our product junkie radar after our visit to New York Fashion week. We received two of their latest products in our Swag Bags from their new line yet were thoroughly drawn into their already existing line. We searched down the products and filmed a Wash and Go to give them a try. We did try them beforehand a few times so we could bring to you a pretty accurate representation of their performance. We were pleased with our results. Watch our video and tell us if you agree.

    Keeping your dad and husband lifted up in prayer and speaking healing because Jesus can do anything!
    Your hair came out so pretty, both of you. I love how your hair is so defined but still has great volume. I usually get one or the other, rarely ever both. I am cheap and Mielle is a bit expensive to me, but I may have to splurge a lil seeing your beautiful results.
    I missed you guys!

      Angelina S. W. Thank you so very much for your prayers. We have no idea what is going on with our hair these days. My texture seems to be changing. It’s super thick and the roots are just frizzy. Who knows what the next couple of months will bring. Stay tuned. Haha! -LoriAnne (The Mom) 💕💕💕➰

    Great introduction on when you are influencers on social media, and having to find the balance with social media & real life, because when you have a following, you have to keep it up which I understand for my social media. But at the same time, real life is much more important than social media. I pray that your husband & dad gets better soon. Congrats, Mrs. LoriAnne, on your 1st year big chop anniversary! I love Mielle Organics products since I’ve used these products in the video along with their Honey & Ginger collection (their Edge Gel and their Styling Gel) as well as their Babassu Oil collection (the Mint deep conditioner) as well as their White Peony Leave-In Conditioner!! Are these amazing spray bottles at Sally Beauty? Great wash & go results with these products for you all! I need to perfect my wash & go.

      @MADCURLS  6 років тому

      Jazmin Jordan Thank you for your kind words. It is a very delicate balancing act. Thank you sooo much. It sure is my first year Anniversary! Last year this time.......smh......complete misery 😂 but I made it and learned to embrace what I had growing out of my head. ➰➰➰ Ok. First up! Yes, these water bottles are found at Sally’s. This question is too funny to me, because I literally just discussed this in our latest video. (We re-filmed Shea Moisture’s leave-in conditioner). These Mielle products in this video are the only ones we’ve tried so far. These natural brand companies have so many lines sometimes it’s hard to keep up. We do our best. Thank you for watching us. I’m sure you’ll perfect your wash and go.......it’s all trial and error. 💕😊➰➰➰ -LoriAnne

      You’re more than welcome, Mrs. LoriAnne. I’ll have to go to Sally Beauty to get one of these spray bottles then. I’ll have to check out your refilmed video of SheaMoisture’s JBCO Leave In Conditioner soon, especially since my mom loves that product. I need help with finding a technique to wash & go my 3c/4a curls.

    Hi ladies. Since I am relatively new to your channel (and loving it) this is the first time I am seeing this particular video. I just had to reach out to you. I am so sorry about your husband being diagnosed with prostate cancer and I can definitely empathize since my husband of 33 years also had prostate cancer. Any cancer in and of itself is a nasty deal. My husband had surgery and radiation therapy. He has been in remission for 6 plus years. Stay strong, I know this is not an easy situation. God bless.

    I’m so glad that everything went well. God Bless your family. My uncle lives in CT and had the same diagnosis some years ago. He went to Yale and had surgery and is doing just fine. I have an older brother who had it also and had surgery and he is doing fantastic. Our other older brother (they are quite older than I am)opted for treatment instead as he felt the surgery would interfere with his lifestyle. He is definitely not doing as well. He is constantly having treatment and surgeries as it is spreading to his intestines and bladder. His quality of life is becoming more diminished as he is deteriorating.

      Rachel Berry-Delapenha Thank you so much for your prayers. Our nightly routines are different. We actually did an entire video on this but it went south fast and we never posted it. We will be doing another one, hopefully soon. But very quickly, I put some sort of growth serum in my hair and cover it with a plastic cap whether it be the Jane Carter Restore Grow Great Hair Foam or Camille Rose Cocoa Nibs and Honey Ultimate Growth Serum. TaylorAnne pineapples her hair every night and shakes it free in the morning. She may add some sort of serum to help sort out the curls. Hope this helps -LoriAnne (The Mom)

    The Brazilian curly cocktail curl cream does NOT work for me as a one and done product.. When it's wet it looks great, as it drys it feel a bit dry but the second day my hair feels like a cactus.... I may now try it with the bounce curl gel or the honey & ginger styling gel. Thank you for reviewing these products.

      Kaynificent really? We’ve seen that thing it just seemed so gimmicky. But you’re saying it works. If we scrape up enough money (Deva ain’t giving that thing a way) we may just indulge. Thank you for the suggestion. ➰➰➰❤️

    Question for LoriAnne... when did you graduate to second day hair? I was watching another one of your videos and you had said that you were getting used to it.... well something like that, and I didnt think to ask then and now i can't find that video. I am a bit older, just did the big chop about 3 - 4 months ago, and my hair isn't all that short anymore thank God, but it does shrink. I am co washing everyday and redoing every day because I can't really pineapple at night or protect the style... it's just not long enough yet. Any tips on when and how I can go a day without having to do this. I am on Long Island and the heat of the summer is at its peak... anyway, thanks in advance.

    • @MADCURLS
      @MADCURLS  6 років тому

      Lisa Grillo Murray I can so relate. Last year this time I was in your same boat. I started doing 2nd day Hair in all honesty when I started getting some length. I just couldn’t deal with the short frizzy second day look, no matter what people were saying “that it was so cute”. I had to feel it was cute. One tip I will give you, if you haven’t seen our video on stretching your hair. You can give yourself an inch possibly 1 1/2 - 2 by putting a medium heat dryer with the nozzle attachment directly to your roots and pulling our hair to encourage length. Your hair has to be at least 85 -90% dry. It really works. Give it a try. But 2nd day Hair is a mind set and it took me forever and at times I still ain’t loving it. 🤣 But remember, refreshing your hair is everything except co-washing or shampooing all over again. So, I do completely soak my hair the second day and reapply the product as if it’s the first day. That’s MY idea of refreshing. I saved myself one step. Whose to tell me it’s not second day Hair? Seriously. Do what makes you feel comfortable. There are no rules. But, in a nut shell. I got comfortable with second day Hair when I got some length. Here is the video link with us explaining how to stretch our hair. I hope this helps you. The stretching part starts around the 19:00 minute point. You will see the difference in my length. ua-cam.com/video/uQ09W5o2mpU/v-deo.html 🤓💕➰-LoriAnne

    How do each of you define your hair type and porosity?

    • @MADCURLS
      @MADCURLS  6 років тому

      Brit Brat We believe we are a combination of 3b and 3c curls. And as far as our porosity goes we thought we were high porosity, but recently we were told we were medium porosity. We were told high porosity soaks in a lot of water but let’s it out just as quickly where as medium porosity takes in water and retains to achieve a perfect balance. But that’s as far as we know if this is even correct 😊💕➿➰

    • @blb926
      @blb926 6 років тому

      Thanks! I thought your hair could be similar to mine and I was correct! Mine is 3b low/medium porosity and it seems like the products you've tried (that I've used) have responded the same way. More reason for me to follow you two! ❤
