There are escape hybrids with 350k miles as taxis in NY with no issues and a business associate had 200k on his fusion hybrid with no issues prior to trading in for a mach e. I've owned a Maverick with the FX4 since Dec 2021. Very few folks will push the Maverick far enough to truly need the Tremor, even on sketchy forest service roads. However, it's obvious that the suspension is much better on the Tremor.
I like these little trucks despite thinking wouldn't I think with a 3in lift, a slightly bigger tire, and a little more suspension travel this thing is unstoppable it's already impressed the hell out of me lol
The "front mud guards" you mentioned and pointed out are actually called "wheel spats," and they serve to improve highway mileage by improving airflow around the front tires.

I agree. I’ve got the FX4 Maverick as well. Also the Scorpion ATR held up to what they were doing. I was going to change out tires but seeing this, I’ll ride them till it wears out and change to the Scorpion AT+ or Nitto Nomad Grapplers

Thanks for the comparison. Only issue is different tires not only size but manufacturer can and will make a difference in ride and available traction. The tremor has 9.4 inches vs the AWD 8.6. Theoretically just going from p225 to p235 on the AWD should gain .255 extra ground clearance so if both had the same size tires it should be 8.85 vs 9.4 if they were the same inflation. The FX4 with hill descent but also the optional 4k tow, gives a higher hwy mpg of 29 vs 24 on the tremor. The tremor does give you better approach, deparcher and crest angles. It also has trail control, lockers, upgraded cv joints different suspension and shocks with a 1 inch lift which also gives it more body roll. The FX4 with 4k tow package increases 2000lb to 4000lb towing capabilities. Increased payload, capabilities but also a high capacity radiator and an upgraded fan, along with additional 5 mpg on the hwy. The issue is ten fold the truck is being bought for price and fuel economy along with being a truck but utilitarian. The tremor package loses all of the above but also makes it useless as a truck. With a 2000lb max payload what good is having lockers when i can not even pull my neighbor out of snow or a ditch? What the heck is those front tow hooks for, unless to be used to pull the tremor out, sad. The Fx4 and 4k tow is a truck. Just would suggest getting the optional p235 AT tires, especially if they come with Falken wildpeaks more traction and more ground clearance and possibly a better ride.
I just picked up my 24 Lariat AWD 2 weeks ago. I live in AR and this video gives me hope that this thing will do great in the snow when it does snow lol. And also I think in sand mode with traction control off will let you spin the tires more if you have sand mode.
I think it can’t have the 4k tow package due to the front bumper. It causes the intercooler/radiator to be smaller. Whereas the fx4 4k tow maverick has that big square grille for bigger intercooler and more airflow

@@killersoung You do can stop a turbo from making boost with the electronic waste gate wich the maverick has, you can feel it when you drive around, the turbo makes boost as needed. The maverick does not have a real locker or low gear, so you always need momentum and tha AWD system relies on wheel spin to figure out what to do, thats why I always use sand mode, the other modes are too restrictive.
A 2wd f150 with the 5.0 /400hp/410 lb feet of torque and limited slip and 8.7" of ground clearance will out off road and out snow perform any of these Mavericks and you can get one below msrp of $39,500, probably for $37500 Plus have a 2 foot longer and much wider bed Oal field economy will only be 20 mpg, tho- but not much less than the Tremor
If you look closely the bumpers are the same, the bottom plastic insert is different. It'd be interesting to see if you can swap those out and if Ford sells those separately, cause as you said it does seem like the tow hooks are at the same location.
You cannot hot swap them unfortunately, the radiator/cooling packaging is modified on the tremor because of that bumper, so it won’t fit on the regular Mav

Sand mode allows more wheel spin than any other mode.... I always use sand mode in any off road situation. I dont use mud and ruts

Sand mode is better, it turns off stability control and the traction control allowing you to power slide through the corners or do donuts
