Jack said something astonishing at 05:07: he called the CVT "Libeartronic". But as far as I know that moniker applies to Subaru's in-house CVT. Its main feature is using a chain rather than a belt, as well as packaged for a longitudinal engine layout. I see several possibilities: 1. Jack misspoke, 2. It’s a fair bit no doubt. Although a surprising number of new cars come from the factory in a similar state though, the dealerships require touch up prior to delivery to the customers. Not sure what the story is here bad paint correct or a problem from the factory, paint quality is almost never a Nissan problem though.
Aside from the usual snide remarks, this seems like a capable and competitive vehicle. Might be a Southern phenomena, but I am seeing Rogues all over the place and expect to soon see these quite often.
Nissan needs to rebrand and go all in on their trucks. I don't care what people say the Frontier and Titan are the best trucks on the market right now.
@@wasupmike22 Did I say anything about an air vent? If you pause the video literally 1 second later at 1:21 you will see the actual glovebox and panel gap.
Nissan should have not attached the Kicks name to this really well done car, as it carries too much baggage and isn’t the next level premium image they were going for. Never thought I would say this but 'Well Done Nissan'! Their great effort really shows on refinement.
This crossover has serious competition for the power train offered by other manufacturers and so therefore if I was in the market for a vehicle in this category I would choose carefully greetings from southern Ontario Canada 🇨🇦 😮

I know you really liked this 2021-2024 first generation of the Nissan Kicks. I own a 2023 Nissan Kicks SR with Premium Package. Identical to the vehicle in this video exactly except mine is Boulder Gray Pearl. I love it. My question is now that you have tested the redesigned second generation 2025 Nissan Kicks which do you like better? The new or the old as an overall package and value play. The first generation Kicks (2018-2024 USA) was such a value play for every trim from the Base S all the way up to the top trim SR with Premium Package. Now on the second generation 2025 Kicks the Base S is still a great value but the SV and SR with Premium Package have jumped thousands in price here in the USA. You could get a loaded 2024 Nissan Kicks SR with Premium Package for under $27,000.00 and now a 2025 Nissan Kicks SR with Premium Package will run you $32,000.00 and thats quite a jump. I know that $32,000.00 one has AWD, a panoramic roof, 10 Bose Speakers vs 8 Bose Speakers, a slightly larger engine, upgraded materials and a new larger platform but I am just curious of your thoughts. They also took away some things like the SV only have 4 speakers and remote start is not as standard as it was in the 2024 Kicks SV and SR. Thanks for the amazing videos.
Never thought I would actually be considering a Nissan kicks but awd cuv with a decently large screen and a pano roof, nothing else has that for the price
I like the improvements that nissan is doing but honestly I prefer the mazda cx-30 with the n/a 2.5, and the reliability of the cvt is still questionable…. However if you can get a mid-high trim for dirt cheap is actually a good car and I prefer it over the gm offering if small suvs however only with a decent discount…

I’m a simple man… I hear “Dwayne mode”, I hit like.
Thanks. I like these down-to-earth cars.
Absolutely awesome and entertaining video.
This is definitely going to sell well
1:00 Mark - please Never Change 🤣 🙏
That orange peel paint on the door is wild. 11:04
It’s a fair bit no doubt.
Although a surprising number of new cars come from the factory in a similar state though, the dealerships require touch up prior to delivery to the customers.
Not sure what the story is here bad paint correct or a problem from the factory, paint quality is almost never a Nissan problem though.
Probably a pre production?
Thanks for the awesome review which is unique compared to other channels. Good attempt from Nissan, too bad the company is current struggling.
that new final thoughts transition looks lovely
I’m here for Mark in the gray sweats
Aside from the usual snide remarks, this seems like a capable and competitive vehicle. Might be a Southern phenomena, but I am seeing Rogues all over the place and expect to soon see these quite often.
Nissan needs to rebrand and go all in on their trucks. I don't care what people say the Frontier and Titan are the best trucks on the market right now.
Nice intro song choice!
9:35 that voice command interruption timing is gold
I love to give a like to every video here. But the problem is, the youtube algorithm will start shoving me Kicks reviews wherever I go!
1:20 that pannel gap at the glovebox 🤭
That's not a panel gap. It's a piece of trim. A few seconds later shows the panel gaps are all actually pretty tight.
I said GLOVEBOX not air vent :)) Look lower
@@wasupmike22 Did I say anything about an air vent? If you pause the video literally 1 second later at 1:21 you will see the actual glovebox and panel gap.
Base price is 20,000 who cares 😂...
Nissan should have not attached the Kicks name to this really well done car, as it carries too much baggage and isn’t the next level premium image they were going for. Never thought I would say this but 'Well Done Nissan'! Their great effort really shows on refinement.
The opening music is also played by the people who will buy this car.
Yeah and the people who were assembling it too😂
As a fellow Mexican, we kindly reject this. I’ll pass it on.
nice cat placement

This reminded of the Geese cult classic 2021 Buick Encore review
I had a feeling I would get some kicks and giggles out of this video
I’m surprised they’re not offering an e-Power hybrid version for usa
“2 to 4 or maybe 3”- Jack Math, PhD
Thank you Great sirs for reviewing this nissan ROCKS. It's a ROCKS because you get rocks in your SHOES
i'll say this about it - it's 1000x better looking than the previous generation
This crossover has serious competition for the power train offered by other manufacturers and so therefore if I was in the market for a vehicle in this category I would choose carefully greetings from southern Ontario Canada 🇨🇦 😮
If I had $25,000 thousand dollars, I would just buy a used 2016 Lexus GS350 F sport and called it a day. Very smart move
That screaming meltdown Mark near the end...I think the stress of life is finally starting to get the best of him.
Honestly, the mariachi music fits the built in Mexico sourcing. I wonder what you’ll play with the Hyundais built in Alabama.
I like how the CVT doesn't have fake gears. If it's a CVT, then manufacturers should just let it be that. Let it rev at the rpm the most torque is made when floored. It's the nature of the design.
I like those 3 spoke wheels, will they fit on my Scion tC?
Video idea: Can you guys go to a Mexican auto manufacturing facility and interview the engineers, show the factory conditions, the workers, etc.? Just like you do for Porsche or Corvette. Many cars come from Mexico, they all have a terrible reputation, and automakers aren’t going to stop building vehicles there. I would genuinely be interested to see what’s going on there.
I didn't know you were Mexican with that intro in the beginning? 😂😂😂😂😂
I think it’s a good looking vehicle. I’m very impressed with it!
With the speakers in the headrests, can you still remove them like regular headrests?
Wonder if Nissan will put R35 running gear in this like they did with the Juke.
What’s the point of low profile tires on a car like this?
The front end looks pretty good.
The launch sequences 😂😂😂
Kicks or Trax?
Never thought I would actually be considering a Nissan kicks but awd cuv with a decently large screen and a pano roof, nothing else has that for the price
It looks like Nissan has been attending the Kia/Hyundai school of design.
Not a single thing that marks this as a Nissan, except the badge.
Nice!
Love the humor
I like the improvements that nissan is doing but honestly I prefer the mazda cx-30 with the n/a 2.5, and the reliability of the cvt is still questionable….
However if you can get a mid-high trim for dirt cheap is actually a good car and I prefer it over the gm offering if small suvs however only with a decent discount…
I like it honestly, coming from me who owns a 2023 Nissan Leaf.
Yeah I guess that might be a reason why.
Does it come with expired paper plates from the factory?
Finally A good Nissan, exept for the cvt, since the GTR. Let's just hope it's not to late.
It's actually a decent Nissan!
