      @@JonasKakarikas hey jonas i was wondering how to get rid of boost cut every time i go to use wide open throttle it hits boost cut or something, i replaced the wastegate actuator and boost control solinoid , its getting really frustrating

      @@JonasKakarikas did you ever have this problem when upgrading yours? it has a mitsubishi 19t and 3.5 inch turbo back straight pipe and wossner piston kit walbro 255 pump but stock injectors, could it be the injectors not giving enough fuel?

      @@jimjones5236 what you experience as boostcut is probably The ecu trying to protect your engine. Your afr is not correct and it could be alot of things. Check that nothing is leaking, than make sure it gets enough fuel. What tune are you running? With 3,5" straight pipe you most likely need a custom dynomap

    Great video man . I've got a 2000 9-3 and need to tackle this job . I keep debating about junking this car but it runs so good and I've done so much work to it I just can't let it go .

      Have same make, model and year. Nothing but trouble. Fix one thing the next breaks. Will take vehicle apart with angle grinder. I know it makes no rational sense but it must come to an end.

      I'm in the exact same situation with my 2002 93 Turbo Diesel. Renewed too many parts to sell it and it runs so good. My Sachs clutch set just arrived from Germany and I also have a new slave cylinder

    I'm starting a clutch job this morning on my 2002 93, The last clutch I installed was on a 1961 Falcon Ranchero and that was 29 +years ago. I've got a feeling I might be losing my religion a few times in the next few days!

      Ok it's not going so smooth twisted off 2 of the studs at the turbo exhaust. Now can't get the studs out tried everything, any idea's?

      @@MichaelWOwens typical problem, If you cant turn them with a vicegrip or equal you might need to disassemble The turbo and drill out The studs then re-thread The holes. Sucks i know 🙁

    Next time you need a extra man to spin wheel to axle when installing the trans it would make life easier when aligning with clutch.. But hey u live and learn ..Keep it up Jonas your doing awesome man

    Don't forget to change the fly wheel pilot bearing and rear main oil seal. Few thing he missed that you must do

      I was also noticing this missed. For my '04 9-3, will have to look at the dual mass flywheel replacement also, otherwise, it's wise to reface the flywheel to get a good breaking of the new clutch.
      Not sure if replacing the gearbox input seal is warranted. Only had engine main seals leak in the past. Anybody had any issues here?

    This is a great video and a great encouragement. No matter what, a follow up video would be awesome. Please do one when you get the clutch plate. I am right in the middle of replacing clutch, slave cylinder, rear main seal (packbox bakre på drivlina) on my 9-5 in Trollhättan. A question: Don't we have to bleed the slave cylinder separately before installing it in the gearbox? It says so in the WIS. It would be easy to skip this and do it later, i.e. after mounting the gearbox onto the engine.

      Awesome 👍 Will absolutley do a follow up. The slavecylinder should be bleed before installing. BUT if you have a luftman like I do you put pressure on The hydraulic system and just bleed out the air 😉 stay tuned.

    that wood frame to hold the engine is a good idea bro. i'll have to try that if i ever do the clutch in my car. seems like a waste to buy an engine crane for one job.

    What a shame that happened. Where you happy with the KL clutch after you did get it installed ? I have a 2000 9-3 Convertible automatic and a 2000 9-3 hatchback 4-door 5 speed and am considering putting the stick in my convertible. Your informative video sure will help.     Jonas, the Viggen clutch plate is bigger than std. Did you removed and skim the flywheel before refitting? Or clean the flywheel?

    Hej! När jag försöker ha bort växellådan från motorn så kärvar den fast! Använder kofot på ena sidan, men då åker den in på den andra. Har testat med slägga, men får inte loss växellådan. Har du några tips? Hur trögt brukar det vara för dig? (Har inte lossat höger drivaxel, kan det vara den som spökar?)

      Inget våld skall användas överhuvudtaget. Den glider av. Kolla så alla skruvar är ur, sen måste man släppa ner motorn lite för att den skall gå fritt ut.

    Does the green rubber need to be on the throw out bearing, I seen some don’t even have that on different or older models. I was gonna replace it but the T-30 screws stripped because they had too much torque. The bearings still turn freely and it goes in and out like the new one after I cleaned the housing for the clutch I added a little Sachs spline grease to the (inside) bearing and wiped the remaining off. I already put the transmission back in tomorrow I just got to try finishing the sub frame and bleed the clutch, brakes, and the power steering sounds simple but I know this takes time. - hopefully someone can help me out thanks.

      It is highly recommended to change the throw out bearing! It Will probably go bad long before The new clutch and then redo the work =/ the greenplastic is a dustprotection, without it Will go bad sooner

    Hi Jonas, Is this an F40 gearbox? And is the flywheel not able to be resurfaced? If it cannot be surfaced I will probably just replace mine to assure best behavior.
    I have a tuned Buick Regal 2.0 Turbo CXL, which is based on the Opel Insignia before 2013. It has the LHU engine.

    Just a question, do you put some thread locking on 3 slave cylinder's bolts ? Because I think there are "threw" holes so they need to be sealed.

    HI Jonas - a quick question - how do You clean the engine bay - can I use an APC on everything and than use a power washer - or avoid the power washer - in order not to flood any electrical ?

      Cover the battery and fuseboxes with plasticbags. Do not use a power washer. Just Light mist with minumum water.

    How much did you save buying the clutch parts separate compared to buying a whole kit at some serious swedish Saab parts retailer? It seems strange to me that you payed for a original slave-cylinder but cheeped out on the clutch parts? Besides my asshole complaint im very grateful for this video since i probably have to do the same with my car.

      I "saved" ~buying them separat. All parts should have been original, The only thing was with the clutch plate. It said original from were i bought it and when i got my new one it was original Sachs 😅 you Will see in The next video 👍

      The difference is The subframe and steering rack, Otherwise very similar

    kanske för att du tog bort centreringen innan du drog det sista? kan du få tag i en ingående axel från skroten fungerade det bra då när vi bytte lamell på b18 på 19oo talet;)

      Ja mycket möjligt, tror det var en kombination av olika faktorer. Men som du säger kan centreringen sitta kvar tills den är dragen. Imorgon lär det bli revansch med styrpinnar som extra hjälp och utan drivaxel =) tack för din kommentar!

    Hi i can get a 2008 Saab sedan diesel but he said the clutch has gone he said not sure if its the clutch slave cylinder or the clutch its self , is it a big job to do iam very mechanically minded and have the tools but never done one. Thanks

      When you change clutch you do the slavecylinder at the same time so it really doesnt matter... Changing the clutch is very similar on most Saabs. A couple of nights in the garage then you are done

      Either you have a leak in one of The hoses or your slavecylinder is done. Could be air in The system also but not likely.

      Nej tyvärr inte den är 240mm, og 9-3an är 228mm. Går ju säkert byta svänghjul och växellåda. Men blir lite större projekt

    Hello friend so i just did my clutch .. Did u have any problem aligning the the station arm/control arm subframe bolts ? Always seems to be a problem getting it completely aligned . do u have any tips on install of subframe allignment

      Hi Jason! Yes the 2 rear ones were really a pain in The ass. The trick is to just thread every Bolt in before tightening any.

    Hey bro can u help me out I’ve seen u know a lot about Saab cars I have a Saab 9-3 and I replaced the clutch and installed a new slave cylinder and sanded the flywheel and a fortunately it won’t move at all and it has a abs and traction and I’ve done so much of researches and don’t get to find the promblem plz help bro I would massively appreciated thank u

      Hi, did you bleed The slavcylinder prior to installing The gearbox or afterwards? Do you have resistance in The pedal?

      Skulle tro den är konstruerad för 450-470nm, men finns vissa som kör med 500nm + och det funkar ett tag 😉

      @@Turb0peppe skulle säga att det är rätt standard att det ser ut så. Motorerna "svettas" ju lite olja genom åren. Och verkstäder gör ju minimalt med extra arbete. Bara torka av och köra vidare 👍

    When I click randomly into this video and see the cv idle shaft still on the motor... Down vote total rookie has never done this before lol...
    Even to have basic training no one would do that, next I want to see him do an automatic transmission, what parts can we break then lol
