    I didn’t see anyone mentioning anything about your video editing frustration, so I will. I have listened to your videos almost every single night.. for probably almost 3 years now. I also cannot listen to the asmr creators that purposely tap on things and do (what I feel is) uncomfortable things, and so your videos have always been a normal, quiet and relaxing go-to option. And my point of my comment is this- I have and still listen to your videos that range from recent, to years past posted, and even when there is a noise here or there, it has never deterred my relaxation or enjoyment of the simple moments your videos being. I think it’s wonderful you edit to bring a greater experience. Just don’t think your videos will be not good if you don’t. After all, those older unedited videos are what so many people have come to know and love you and your content for. Take care, Mel

    What a brilliant video! When depressed...keep moving. This is advice I give to clinically depressed patients as a psychiatric nurse. You continue to be an inspiration to me.

    Very true and wise. Allowing yourself to experience emotions fully and be aware of them but then having the willpower to move through them. I feel this is some of the most important focus of good spiritual teachings, having agency but also letting things be as they are

    Thank you, this is good advice. I occasionally find myself falling into a depressed state and need to take some time off. I try to take a positive action even if it’s just cleaning up a bit. There are some things I still feel hopeless about, because I don’t know the solution or how to solve the problem. But I try to think positive because we never know what the future will bring.

    At 22:57 you give the very first step to pulling oneself out of depression i.e. move, do something physical. I love this chat in front of the fire. Thank you!

    Thank you for posting videos like this. I found your channel, by searching for ASMR videos, but stayed to hear your wisdom and life experiences. Thank you for sharing with us, Haiying.

    What a wonderful video Haiying, This has brought tears to my heart and soul 😥 You have made so many things that seemed hard,easier to understand and get through! I cry because I want to do more than my body will allow, not wanting to “Give Up “ I know many people have more problems than me and I pray they feel peace ✨ Again you are bringing hope and comfort to many ... You are very wise about taking time for oneself when depression sets in! You always “ Make Sense” Dear Friend 🌺

    So much of our impression of our state of being is based upon how our hormones affect and skew our feelings. In other words, is what we're feeling because of our internal psychological state or because of something to do with our adrenal system and physiology. We have control over our feelings and not nearly so much control over our physiology and the hormones our body produces. In such a case knowing this fact frees us from its effects though we still must endure that aspect of our physiology when it does not favour the interests of our mental state. I hope that you're feeling at equilibrium soon. :-)

      Brian Johns Sometimes I feel sad that my thoughts are just a bunch of chemicals

    • @brianjohns49
      @brianjohns49 6 років тому +2

      No they aren't. The organic hardware that makes up our bodies are just the receivers for our individual consciousness and perhaps the recorders of our temporally bound memories. When our hormones affect or influence our cognition you can consider it like a car needing an oil change, or the windshield being dirty or something of that nature. In other words, nothing is wrong with the driver but their ability to control the car is hampered a bit by the physiology of the car itself. When you consider that most of the communications that occur within our body travels through the nervous system as electrical signals that cascade through cells called neurons, but none of the signalling contains anything to do with our consciousness. Its just the parts of the car. Our eyes and our optic nerves are the windshield or dash cam. All of our other senses work in a similar way and our brain is both the coordinator and memory for everything of which our bodies are capable and our experiences. So every living thing is much more than just a bunch of chemicals. We're certainly more than the sum of our parts don't you think? :-)

      Well at least you said something. Communication requires effort from both the one trying to communicate an idea and the one trying to understand. I can only hope that I did my part in trying to understand. I have my bad days where I'm much less a gracious person.
