I went to a Toyota dealership and bought my Jeep, love it. Course previously I had bought a 2008 Tundra, and my grandfather bought a 2005 Tundra from that dealer, so the Jeep was just something after getting rid of my ailing 2008 Tundra that I found and couldn't pass it up due to the price and the condition it was in with extremely low mileage for its age. I'll keep my Jeep after my 2008 Tundra experience I'm far from impressed they don't build Toyotas like they used to...however if I run across a great deal on a 1st gen Tundra I may jump on it, more solidly built than the newer 2007+ versions.

The only issues are the undercarriage has rust (perhaps ‘cause of living near the shoreline) and the rodents eating away Toyota’s “eco-friendly” electric ⚡️ wires... this has costed us $5,000 repairs twice. Any of you experienced the same thing? There’s a class-action lawsuit about this, I heard. Believe it or not, the rodents mass-migrated all the way from South America 🥵 and they’re slowly inching up now to the northern half of U.S. 🔹 I’d say ~ Make sure you check and take care of the undercarriage, maybe apply anti-rust protection. 😅

The sales manager is a friend and Mikey cut me a great deal. It has always been garaged and serviced at my Toyota dealership. I have all the service records. The blizzard pearl (white) is beautiful. It has never been off-road and in as close to 'show room' condition as you'll find a pre-owned vehicle. To close the deal, I had Mikey (sales manager) put it through the Toyota 160 point certification. It currently has 59 K miles and will be serviced next week (November 2023). I could continue on, but it's a dream to drive and it will most likely last past my lifetime. It is without a doubt, the best SUV I have ever owned.

I had a 1999 4Runner that I bought in 2007 until 2014, when I picked up 2011 4Runner. I still have the 2011 4Runner and it has 179k+ miles on it. replaced transmission fluid twice, timing chain once, all fluids replaced at correct intervals and synthetic oil changes every 10k miles. it's an everyday workhorse that I hope to have for some time longer. maybe one day to replace it with a newer 4Runner.

The only real 4X4 manufacturer today.

My 2010 Trail model 4X4 is great. No plans to get rid of it anytime soon. 158k miles, only scheduled maintenance nothing has broken. Far cry from my Jeep Grand Cherokee where something broke every two months
