@@isaacschrader3160 I prefer a really reliable vehicle than a super handling one. Although I must admit I really love my two Honda quads! A TRX 500 4x4 and a TRX 250. In that respect, Honda is certainly number one! But not in cars, trucks or SUVs! Thats the reign of Toyota!

I went to a Toyota dealership and bought my Jeep, love it. Course previously I had bought a 2008 Tundra, and my grandfather bought a 2005 Tundra from that dealer, so the Jeep was just something after getting rid of my ailing 2008 Tundra that I found and couldn't pass it up due to the price and the condition it was in with extremely low mileage for its age. I'll keep my Jeep after my 2008 Tundra experience I'm far from impressed they don't build Toyotas like they used to...however if I run across a great deal on a 1st gen Tundra I may jump on it, more solidly built than the newer 2007+ versions.

Any of you experienced the same thing? There’s a class-action lawsuit about this, I heard. Believe it or not, the rodents mass-migrated all the way from South America 🥵 and they’re slowly inching up now to the northern half of U.S. 🔹 I’d say ~ Make sure you check and take care of the undercarriage, maybe apply anti-rust protection. 😅

Scotty, I purchased a 2013 Toyota 4-Runner SR5 Premium (4 x 4) in 2017 with 46 K miles. It was previously owned by the parents of the sales manager. The sales manager is a friend and Mikey cut me a great deal. It has always been garaged and serviced at my Toyota dealership. I have all the service records. The blizzard pearl (white) is beautiful. It has never been off-road and in as close to 'show room' condition as you'll find a pre-owned vehicle. To close the deal, I had Mikey (sales manager) put it through the Toyota 160 point certification. It currently has 59 K miles and will be serviced next week (November 2023). I could continue on, but it's a dream to drive and it will most likely last past my lifetime. It is without a doubt, the best SUV I have ever owned.

I used to have a 1997 Toyota 4Runner SR5 4WD, great vehicle, got it in Nov 2004, the cooling system had issues when I got it, and despite my best efforts, I never got to the bottom of the problem, but somehow it kept going until Nov 2017, then I got a 2000 4Runner LTD 4WD with locking diff, an even better model, and I love it, it's got no cooling system issues, and only 187k miles now. (My old Runner got a pre-owned engine put into it, and is now serving someone else well). You just can't kill these things! Yes, sure they do have a couple of weak points, lower front ball joints need keeping a careful eye on, (only replace with Toyota OEM), and in Salty States, the chassis can rot out, fortunately I live on the dry left coast, but I have still put ATF into my chassis to help prevent rust), oh, and if you replace the water pump, ONLY use original OEM Toyota parts

The battery keeps the interior at the set temperature and the ICE engine only starts to recharge the battery so you may use 1/2 gallon of gas a night on the coldest or hottest nights while you sleep inside in perfect temps. Have a 4Runner SR5 4X4....It's been an outstanding vehicle....Solid, dependable, + we tow a 24'TT with it all around the country.....We're in country US 6 months RVing & out for 6 months....Our cars at both ends/countries = Toyota SUVs........Best of both worlds....

I purchased a new 4Runner, 4 wheel drive in 2016. The dealer would only take a small amount off the sticker because he said they hold their value very well and Toyota won't deal on them. Two years later I got a promo from the dealer for a trade in. So I traded in the 2016 SR5 with 20,000 miles on the odometer for a new 2018 SR5 Premium. I got $4500 less on the trade in from what I paid for the 2016 against the slightly discounted price for the 2018. So, they seem to hold their value very well.
