- This video is a long anticipated showing of how I use the pallet system to empty my dumpster trailers. I give an in depth view of how to set up and use a pallet to pull everything off your trailers, leaving you with very Little work to do at the landfill. This is a must have for all Junk removal and dumpster rental companies that don't have actual DUMP trailers.

Great video thanks for sharing. A safety tip for anyone working with household trash or walking in a landfill. I was a supervisor at a Waste Management MRF. A lot of medical waste came through our plant. Needles, dialysis bags and unknown stuff. We even had a loaded shotgun go off on the line. Wear cut resistant gloves and boots with puncture protection in case you step on something sharp. And a safety vest.

I see that your from Atlanta I was wondering what dump do you dump at? and how much they charge to dump! I live in Stockbridge Ga and i am going to be getting in the business soon! Yooooo, that's great you are getting into the business. I'm sorry this took so long to answer. Things got hectic for a while and I haven't even been able to make any recent videos.
I use Dekalb County Landfill the majority of the time. That's because they charge by the weight. My nominal fee is between 25 and 45 bucks! If I go to my local transfer station, they charge by the size. So my 15yd trailer is automatically 125 bucks. Yeah, big difference so I don't use them. But there are a couple others I use depending on what are I'm in.

Great idea and video! Do you think this would work if you drove a piece of rebar/pipe in the ground and simply pulled forward with your trailer? Thinking of trying this but don't have a dozer or anything to pull out the load.
Absolutely, but it also depends on how heavy the load is. Maybe for smaller trailers like 8 to 10ft it wid be great. This load in the video would have pulled it out the ground.
I was embarrassed to ask my father bc I was under 10 when he was doing it like that over 50 yrs ago.....

Just seen this and it's a great idea! Do you lock up your brakes or at least the parking brake? All that torque from the tractor pulling an't be good on the transmission.

They don't charge persay, but they expect a tip. I usually give em 10 bucks.

Yes, I always tip them. They aren't picky either. Sometimes $5 sometimes $15.

Nice, may have been said already, but your daughter may be in danger where she stands as trailer gets unloaded. People have gotten seriously hurt and even killed when recovering stuck vehicles in similar fashion. I think cables store energy while being pulled. If so, and anything on that cable-line fails, a hook or one of those fittings can become a projectile flying towards tractor or towards your daughter. She should prob. be standing away and to the side by where you were recording. Hope that helps, thanks.
