Nice information. I go around to apartment complexes to haul away old furniture that people throw by the dumpsters that the trash companies don't pickup. Today I had an apt manager ask what my prices were and I told her my general price of a full trailer load. My trailer is 7x14x4=14.5 cubic yards. I also told her that my prices are flexible based on size and weight of the junk. Meaning, a trailer full of cardboard boxes will pay significantly less than a trailer full of pianos or refrigerators. Even though they take up the same amount of space. So I let her know my general trailer price and told her that the price was flexible depending on size, weight, dimensions, and intensity of the labor.
Cool Video! Yeah making the prices simple for Customers. And getting into Rapport with customer is important. I’m still new to junk removal so sometimes I don’t quite estimate the weight of load visually which has cut into profits . One full truck load can be as light as 300lbs or as heavy as 3000 lbs so I’m really trying to get better at weights of material being removed . Great info !
Nice video man. I charge the same way plus a heavy load light load and green waste prices as well. And electronics are hella expensive to dump here in northern Colorado so there’s that.
Here near Rockford, Communist State of ILLinois, the cheapest I have found is $75 minimum, which goes up to one ton, then $56/ton for every ton after that. $75 minimum is nuts!!! I am trying to get into junk removal. I need a truck and/or trailer.
@@islandstronghaulingjunkrem8704 now you are #RidingwithBiden. That is rough, man. I am trying to get into junk hauling, but it is difficult. I can't even call the dump for answers to questions, because they are owned by Waste Management, and so you have to call their national number, and then they cannot transfer you to the local site. You have to drive 15 miles or so to ask a question. Insanity!
Great information. Thank you. How do you price your time to load? I mean, you already have a flat rate to fill your trailer but how do you price your fee if you have to carry the load to the trailer? Let's down the pathway about 50 feet or more.

So what are your dump fees like? Here in Portland Oregon it’s about 100 a ton for a covered load
Same in central texas, just over $100 per ton. Or I should mention the transfer station I use is $100 a ton. Actually dump is $60-70.
It's $40 a ton here in Oklahoma City.

Always factor that in on top of your load price. Whatever you think is fair for you.
gotta keep the math to a minimum for the customer
Keep on keeping on!
Thanks bro!
