  • Our day starts innocently enough as we set out to clean a clogged drain, armed with our trusty plumbing snake. Little did we anticipate the twist that awaited us-mid-operation, the plumbing snake wire disappears down the drain, plunging into the abyss below. The initial shock gives way to a race against time to locate and retrieve the snake before it becomes a potential catastrophe.
In a surprising turn of events, the missing plumbing snake is discovered at the cleanout in the basement of the building. A collective sigh of relief echoes as we realize that this unplanned detour has a fortuitous resolution. Witness the strategic retrieval of the snake, averting what could have been a significant problem.
With the plumbing snake safely back in our hands, the day's challenges continue. Dive into the meticulous process of replacing the bath waste, a task that may seem routine but requires precision and attention to detail.
As the day unfolds, we conclude with a grand finale-a double gas valve install on a Smith 19 Series commercial steam boiler. Explore the intricacies of this installation, witnessing the skill and expertise required to ensure a seamless integration.
Through this storytelling, my goal is to provide viewers with a firsthand glimpse into the dynamic and unpredictable nature of HVAC work. Whether you're a seasoned professional seeking relatable experiences or an enthusiast eager to understand the intricacies of the field, this video promises an engaging and educational journey through the challenges of "Plumbing Snake Escape: Down the Abyss!"

LOL can't stop laughing. I can see the snake coming right out of the machine.
Even with pipe bends, once the snake gets about 1/2 way out the weight of the cable will start pulling. Benn there many times, but never lost one. LOL too funny

I was thinking when Pippin knocks over the dead dwarf in armor down the well hole in LOTR😂. You could hear it hit every surface on the way down🤣

🤣🤣 Next time this happens try using an electrical snake to try to grab the plumbing snake. The electrical snake will sometimes wrap around the other snake. I use this technique in the electrical field

You're lucky you found that in the stack it wouldn't apply right away in that three or four inch but it would have clogged eventually

Don't require a combustion test on the burner after replacing gas valves?

You really should of bent the valve handle at 10:20 so it opened all the way. Other than that, great work

If your drains are PVC or Copper you can generally recover a lost snake with a strong magnet taped to a electrician's fish tape.
Ask me how I know this...
