Anyone who watches this, and has never seen Degrassi, is going to think Emma and Spinner had some epic romance. Nah. They barely even talked through every season 😂😂😂 the relationship that literally made no sense.

That doesn’t surprise me though. Degrassi TNG did that throughout the whole show. They loved the relationship story lines so much that whenever they were running out ideas they’d be like “we’ll put character a and character b together!!” Lol. Really annoyed me.

We literally watched these kids grow up. Literally. The cast was cast the same age as the characters. So, we saw the cast AND the characters grow up. This show was my childhood, and it's the reason I'm educated. There's still some moments in school where I know the answer ONLY because of this show. And not to mention, Ellie's cutting storyline helped me quit burning myself. And seeing Zoe go through the same thing and overcome it really reassured me.
Really wish there more teen shows like this. Ones where teen characters were NOT played by a 20 or 30 something year old.
This show has a certain charm to it due to the fact that we got to see the cast grow up 😭💕
Kenrick Bautista yes all the kids were around the same age as the actual characters which make it even better like manny in the 3rd season was in 8th the real life character was like 12 usually the age is around the same age as the characters or 2 years younger or older I’ve never seen anything different
I hope to see this franchise continue in the future, I love the lessons Degrassi Junior high and Degrassi high taught too and I liked spikes progression into a teen mom into a mom helping her teen to get through life struggles.

@@Bittyboo14 the actor was done with Degrassi and he wanted it to be no way that his character could come back. He wanted to move on and go to college and not be stuck being the clown forever since the show didn’t want his character to evolve. There was a interview and behind the scenes that proves this I don’t know if it’s still up.

@@Heyheyhaleyd with his sister the actress got pulled from the show by her parents (if i remember correctly) and it makes sense they didn't recast her since everyone is consistently played by the same actors. they couldve just made her transfer to a different school or something tho

29-year-old guy that's been watching since he was 10! Once all of the original characters left, the show became less important to me, though :( I couldn't stand any of the new characters - 2nd and 3rd generations.

Me neither. I guess they thought Emma could have a similar romance to her mother which was just two classmates from Degrassi who were still part of the franchise without being a student anymore. The only difference is that Snake and Spike had a little more development and they didn’t have any better past romance anyways.

Paige Paige Paige... my girl Paige.
She was the It Girl. Turned out to not be as great as we thought, yet still somehow managed to turn out better than I thought. I think Paige had a very good character development
Yeah I'm gonna pretend her and Marco's storyline with degrassi goes to Hollywood didn't happen and she, Ellie, and Marco are happily being besties and being there for when they need each other.

They did a great job of linking the modern era to and from the true Original Degrassi
Watching a lot of these characters grow up has been so wonderful.
We need another full Degrassi reunion with all the amazing characters and love stories come back together.

I didn't cry for JT for some reason but Sean's last lines are on and I'm bawling like a baby.
I've never been someone who got hooked to shows, or actually *wanted* to binge watch them, but Degrassi completely changed that for me. I didn't get to watch it until I was an adult (I really could've used Adam when I was growing up,) so I missed growing up with everyone. Still puts Degrassi at the top of my watch list.
