Mlb umps really cannot stand being told that they're wrong.. The second someone turns around to tell them..... "That call was wro..." Ump:"you're gone!" It's so pitiful...
2:41 John Tumpane is a very good umpire. He was a minor league trainer at my umpire school when I went. Not only is he a good umpire but he’s a funny guy. Needless to say he told us he always try’s to give guys a long leeway. You’ll see when the batter walked up to him and his brim hit his hat he took it off so the guy doesn’t get suspended for touching an umpire. He really is a class act of a guy. Also one of the better young umpires in the league. Some of the other guys are god awful.
@@mattdavis4248it’s too bad that the “wiseman” doesn’t know what a strike is. What an asinine comment to make when these umps clearly are clueless. A friend of mine played in the pros and I told him I quit watching years ago because the umpires were getting bad, and now they are worse than ever. I only watch these UA-cam videos now. I keep hoping to see one of them get the hell beat out of him. I know I won’t, but I can wish.
@JOKEY68 No one is perfect. There are some really bad Umps that need to go. All I am saying that the way a majority of the time they stay calm while people around them blow up and yell at them. That isn't easy to do.

Most of these Umps KNOW they just made a horrible call, and they throw the player out for questioning it, out of insecurity…

I say this a lot on these types of videos but just bc it doesn’t get heated doesn’t mean you’re allowed to argue balls and strikes.
I’m sorry but not all of these are bad calls. They might look ugly but they were correct.
