Played for 1 year and a half so far, and I get pretty far on Arena and decently on RTA. PvE wise I can do endgame stuff (with some struggling) and I got almost all RGB units and around half or more than half of the ML5s.
What they don't say in the patch notes is that the demiurge mission summons also don't contribute to the mileage system anymore, which is way worse in my opinion cause they're also decreasing the ether. So you have less currency to pull on the demiurge banner and the 60 you get for free doesn't cause towards mileage. This one could be a bug cause they haven't addresed it or it could be a sneaky way of nerfing f2p even more Edit: THIS IS NOT A BUG !! the currency you get from the missions specifically say that they wont contribute to mileage !!! This is a f-cking sneaky and just disgusting change that they didn't high-light in the patch notes they just lumped them in with the regular summon tickets. Lol im certainly not going to be spending more time with this game. Man, i just started playing after 2 months and this is what i come back to XD

As day 1 E7 player. Im not that surprised. SG is well known to do this kind of greedy shit from time to time. IF there is no serious backlash, they just gonna roll it and DGAF. I play E7 for yearss but i always be cautious of SG. Dick move for sure
VA Games and SG combined here. At least in E7 you can put 100% blame on SG but here the development side is managed by VA Games so it was most likely a joint decision to screw over people lol
Hello I'm an e7 player and not long ago smilegate tried to implement a whale system of constellations like in genshin locking some old and new characters kits potential behind dupes instead of balance patches. The community soared and got really mad especially korean and chinese and made itself very vocal about it, as a result smilegate removed entirely the feature and we received compensation. Thus they also promised they will never try to tackle the dupe system again so make yourselves heard, I don't play outerplane but we are kinda on the same boat·
in genshin it isnt even that bad since its pve only. but in E7 the endgame focus is primairly PvP. immagine people have to pull for dupes to compete in rta lmao. in genshin people are smashing stuff without gacha at all. thats how casual it is.
part of the problem is that they gave out a lot of free stuff at 100 days that we were still riding that wont be there in the future, and without that bonus people would be spending to hit mileage
I'm a day one player. I was looking foward to the game. I was enjoying the game. It's been 6 months and I'm heavily disappointed. No content pretty much at all, these nerfs to the mileage system, useless tickets, less ether... I'm honestly thinking to drop the game. Plus the UI is always laggy. Fack off with the changes devs.
maybe because they are earning very low whenever I saw those mobile games earning list I always see outerplane at red (meaning the earning is lowering) and I never saw them earn higher than $600K every month as a publisher with a lot of staff to pay their salaries I guessing that amount of earning isn't enough. just my personal opinion.
I've been playing every day since day one. I'm f2p, I have almost every character, most of them are 5 star. I missed my first day when I found out "event" tickets actually meant "all fucking free tickets". I'll probably never play again.

it is so crazy, the biggest selling point of this game is how much F2P friendly it is. I started last month because of this and loved the game. But if it changes, they will loose a lot of potential players when it's now that they should focus on getting them instead of milking those they have already.
I was unlucky and get almost all my last heroes only from 200/200 mileage - and with this new changes the overall situation will became even worse. But i am ready to drop this game - it was not bad, but not awesome. Shall invest my time in another fun projects... 😏
I feel ya some summoning sessions are just straight up bad and that’s why pity/mileage is a nescessity. I am not going to quit yet but if these changes are not reverted I might be close to that situation
Well, you can always do a lot of noise. We did it on Epic Seven because of that new awakening system, and they decided to scrap the whole system because of the outrage.

as a free to play user this is a sad news It means I can't save millage anymore to buy a unit I want but base on the income list I always saw whenever a honkai star rail content vlogger show I always see outerplane on the lower part of the list and it's always at red meaning it's income keeps on dwindling and I never saw their income come above $600k maybe this is the reason they limit a lot of free stuff to free to play player so some players buy their product and increase their earnings as a free to play player that is sad but If it will make the game survive for long I guess I'll just accept it I mean I not paying anything to play their game I have to rights to complaint. this is just my personal opinion.
Man this just sucks! I recently returned to the game to collect my third Demiurge unit and i realize that the tokens we get from the Demiurge mission dont count in the mileage.. At first i thought it was a bug but after i used my ether, the mileage went up! I was highly disappointed when i saw the numbers go up after using my ether.. It hurts to know that they went this route. What they shouldve done is to give us more ways to get the Demiurge tokens for us to keep playing.. Like through Arena or/and weeklies.. They've just made it harder for new and existing player to get the Demiurge unit they want. I came after seeing how cool Demiurge Drakhan looks and now since they've disband the mileage with the tokens its harder to even go to pity and get her! It sucks man. It does not feeling rewarding as it did before.
Hey Cypher. Just jumping in to ask. Are you going to keep track of this (because something like a hotfix patch isn't their thing,but they asked for feedback on dc..who knows if they listen or let it crumble) or you move on somewhere else too?
Note that the new CEO of smilegate was the VP of NETMARBLE, so the stingy mfker got greedy, well for epic seven the community was so vocal about it and Chinese and Korean community sent protest trucks so the potentially game ruining change was cancelled , if outerplane community would also be vocal about this then it will be prevented too

I can see why they did it. I got every character except normal Stella and Epsilon, and I'm sitting on 688 mileage. I usually get the new unit with the tickets early. The free 2 daily Demiurge summons, basically got me all of the D. units for nothing too.
Agreed but this was not the way to do this. Suddenly taking away the mileage through tickets and ether is not the way to justify their thought process even though we love the game and want it to make money at the same time. They should have consulted the players before doing these changes since this move leaves bad press for the game.
Cypher my guy, you give the devs too much benefit of the doubt. Its not cos they did this after the fact that they planned the 200 tickets, nor because they were lazy and this wasnt well thought out. It was always planned from the start, this half year anniv was always a great time to give these seemily generous rewards to permanetly change this game going forward, which was why they were sneaking it in. This isnt coming from your avg dev, but the suits in power that make all the decisions. Looks like having those annoying pop ups alone wasnt enough. Taking a little at a time over and over and giving your temporary rewards is how they slowly make it into a very toxic to f2p game.

The only money I've spent is on costumes, and damn they are nice.
Worst day for f2p. It's even effects dolphins i guess. This is killing garantee recruit system for all f2p players. It's sad, rlly sad. Earlier you could save up ether for demi heroes and recruit some heroes with tickets and still had garant hero with milliage accumulation. You could have some new heroes anyway Now you can't get much ether for demi and can't accumulate milliage because this tickets don't count. No garant. No new heroes. GG. Death for game
They forget 1 thing. Whales and dolphins gives you money, f2p gives you big and active community with creative fandome which gives you free advertisement
Legit nothing can be done as a F2P now. You would need to get super lucky in your summons to have a chance of staying viable. Mileage is a must in any game and acts as a failsafe for bad luck in gacha games.

I dropped this game months ago. To be honest i really like the game, it is fun to play, generous, addicting mediocre but pleasant graphic, nice va and the story was creative. I dropped it because of game fatigue(no sweep). Sad to see it becomes worse
@@cypher4202they should just make it free sweep, farming for sweep tickets defeat the whole purpose of sweep because you need extra step to sweep. If you are not big company like mihoyo that has high player retention rate(especially if your game has outdated graphic), you should not competing to squeeze out others game (because player only 24 hours per day), you should be looking to coexist with others game by making the dailies as fluid as possible.

i started playing right before this update i have my original account which is ok then i have my reroll account which is slowly catching up and i noticed that on banners that you could use tickets the mileage wasnt increasing at all on my first account i got normal drakhan and a few others with mileage no complaints thought the game was good now im working on getting demiurge drakhan with barely any mileage and no increase on any banner for mileage and it sucks when i first started i was thinking the game had a decent pity system but the devs went and fucked it up
I am f2p played since day 1 but I quit during christina or whatever that flame bruiser was like 4 banners ago or whatever. good thing i stopped playing then cause i cant believe its getting worse
i agree but even as f2p there just wasnt enough there to keep me interested. i did enjoy the pvp in terms of gameplay but the dailies were just mindless grind to get pull currency and gear which were more of a dopamine button than any kind of fun gameplay. i actually did read the story and i liked it, but they didnt even make a hard mode story for chap 2 and no voice acting has always been a downer. theres just so many other games on the market that are also free its hard to choose this one any longer@@cypher4202
Overpriced packs. Poor deals within said packs. Overpriced skins. Are some of the things they could have tapped on to fix these issues. Lower the BP to normal BP prices 5-8 bucks. All those could help. For me? I don't care about packs, but I do like skins but I won't buy a 22+ dollar fucking skin in any game ever. 15 is my cap on that. I also wouldn't buy skins that add stats because that's some bullshit.

After the demiurge summon system I alrdy stopped playing. It’s 10x worse than epic seven moonlight summons. Hopefully this game will eventually get better. For now tho, I’m not touching this game with a 10 inch pole. Also, shouldnt they be more focused on adding newer content?? Seems like doing this method makes it 10x worse than it was before

I play since day one. This is the kind of game i love and i can play for years. I'm cashplayer. Top 20-30 in pvp arena. But this new update with lot of downgrades and empty "half celebration (lol)" (seriously celebration!!???) is only shame and sh*t. I stopped. Uninstall.

idk what it is but to me the game felt so forgettable? like nothing was fun or unique the characters are generic as fuck and so is the plot. its downgraded version of e7 but with 3d animations. played it for a day and uninstalled.
Dude they can't have a F2P experience so friendly that they're literally not churning a profit. So if you want to keep the servers going then clearly cosmetics aren't enough. Also there are less than 50 characters so your RNG chances with 3 stars is still strong. I get that it sucks. But trust me play other gatcha games like RAID SHADOW LEGENDS and you'll be thankful for a game like this. The people leaving this game play a different gatcha every 2 months so whatever
I agree that getting heroes is super easy in OP but I think they needed to consult the playerbase first before making such drastic and bad changes. They could’ve simply followed the E7 model
@@cypher4202 character acquisition I think is fine, ya they could of announced the change or just done it the same has E7, but they didn't and that kinda sucks. However it's not the end of the world. My honest complaints are more for getting T10 materials and gems. But hey F2P I got sigma in what maybe 2 months and with only using lvl1 gens at best. So all in all I'd say pretty decent experience.
Yall to negative, its a free game. They need money somehow to give us quality content. Otherwise this game would probably be trash. It really is one of the best free to play mobile gatcha games. The story is great and engaging and the cast of charecters is awesome. The only thing this game is really missing is just more content in general. More things to do is what i want. After you beat everything you just have pvp to do. I have all the charecters except two, and thats by choice. I haven't spent any money. Just play the game, you will get their eventually. Patience.

I spend about 10- 25$ a month because i do believe in supporting a enjoyable game.

I'm lucky as fuck as a free to play player, I have every character and 92k Ether saved with maybe 3 pitties stored up, been playing since soft launch. as I can't blame them for this if my account is even close to the norm, I still don't like it. The only money I've spent is on costumes, and damn they are nice.

Yeah E7 covers up their mistakes quite fast but I believe its due to a larger community and more content creators

Earlier you could save up ether for demi heroes and recruit some heroes with tickets and still had garant hero with milliage accumulation. You could have some new heroes anyway
Now you can't get much ether for demi and can't accumulate milliage because this tickets don't count. No garant. No new heroes. GG. Death for game
They forget 1 thing. Whales and dolphins gives you money, f2p gives you big and active community with creative fandome which gives you free advertisement
Legit nothing can be done as a F2P now. You would need to get super lucky in your summons to have a chance of staying viable. Mileage is a must in any game and acts as a failsafe for bad luck in gacha games.

I think this might be VA Games and SG both collaborating to make the changes. Though the changes on the dev side are done by VA Games since SG doesn’t handle game development for them
Ticket reworks are the worst part about the update, like its hard enough to build mileage, and they made it even harder.

I dropped this game months ago. To be honest i really like the game, it is fun to play, generous, addicting mediocre but pleasant graphic, nice va and the story was creative. I dropped it because of game fatigue(no sweep). Sad to see it becomes worse
There is a whole ton of sweep tickets. You don’t need to spend more than 5 mins to complete all daily missions or to farm dungeons
@@cypher4202they should just make it free sweep, farming for sweep tickets defeat the whole purpose of sweep because you need extra step to sweep. If you are not big company like mihoyo that has high player retention rate(especially if your game has outdated graphic), you should not competing to squeeze out others game (because player only 24 hours per day), you should be looking to coexist with others game by making the dailies as fluid as possible.

i started playing right before this update i have my original account which is ok then i have my reroll account which is slowly catching up and i noticed that on banners that you could use tickets the mileage wasnt increasing at all on my first account i got normal drakhan and a few others with mileage no complaints thought the game was good now im working on getting demiurge drakhan with barely any mileage and no increase on any banner for mileage and it sucks when i first started i was thinking the game had a decent pity system but the devs went and fucked it up
I am f2p played since day 1 but I quit during christina or whatever that flame bruiser was like 4 banners ago or whatever. good thing i stopped playing then cause i cant believe its getting worse

i agree but even as f2p there just wasnt enough there to keep me interested. i did enjoy the pvp in terms of gameplay but the dailies were just mindless grind to get pull currency and gear which were more of a dopamine button than any kind of fun gameplay. i actually did read the story and i liked it, but they didnt even make a hard mode story for chap 2 and no voice acting has always been a downer. theres just so many other games on the market that are also free its hard to choose this one any longer@@cypher4202

Overpriced packs. Poor deals within said packs. Overpriced skins. Are some of the things they could have tapped on to fix these issues. Lower the BP to normal BP prices 5-8 bucks. All those could help. For me? I don't care about packs, but I do like skins but I won't buy a 22+ dollar fucking skin in any game ever. 15 is my cap on that. I also wouldn't buy skins that add stats because that's some bullshit.

After the demiurge summon system I alrdy stopped playing. It’s 10x worse than epic seven moonlight summons. Hopefully this game will eventually get better. Game wasnt doing well so they decided to shut it down after 8 months.
I play since day one. This is the kind of game i love and i can play for years. I'm cashplayer. Top 20-30 in pvp arena. But this new update with lot of downgrades and empty "half celebration (lol)" (seriously celebration!!???) is only shame and sh*t. I stopped. Uninstall.

I just started playing and got the new dragon chick and the other android chick in a couple pulls. And a few other 3 stars in a few pulls.
idk what it is but to me the game felt so forgettable? like nothing was fun or unique the characters are generic as fuck and so is the plot. its downgraded version of e7 but with 3d animations. played it for a day and uninstalled.

Dude they can't have a F2P experience so friendly that they're literally not churning a profit. So if you want to keep the servers going then clearly cosmetics aren't enough. Also there are less than 50 characters so your RNG chances with 3 stars is still strong. I get that it sucks. But trust me play other gatcha games like RAID SHADOW LEGENDS and you'll be thankful for a game like this. The people leaving this game play a different gatcha every 2 months so whatever

I agree that getting heroes is super easy in OP but I think they needed to consult the playerbase first before making such drastic and bad changes. They could’ve simply followed the E7 model
@@cypher4202 character acquisition I think is fine, ya they could of announced the change or just done it the same has E7, but they didn't and that kinda sucks. However it's not the end of the world. My honest complaints are more for getting T10 materials and gems. But hey F2P I got sigma in what maybe 2 months and with only using lvl1 gens at best. So all in all I'd say pretty decent experience.
Yall to negative, its a free game. They need money somehow to give us quality content. Otherwise this game would probably be trash. It really is one of the best free to play mobile gatcha games. The story is great and engaging and the cast of charecters is awesome. The only thing this game is really missing is just more content in general. More things to do is what i want. After you beat everything you just have pvp to do. I have all the charecters except two, and thats by choice. I haven't spent any money. Just play the game, you will get their eventually. Patience.
As I said this is the best F2P game but suddenly taking away all the good stuff in 1 day without consulting the community at large is not a good sign. Patience is find but silence over getting screwed is not. I love the game and want them to make money at the same time but not like this
