Just found your channel. I've heard several versions of this concerto over the years, loved it on first hearing, and this is the very Best heard so far. Awesome.

2- The volume of the mandolin is unbeliveable. Who is the luthier? Is the string height exessive?
3- I just remembered my late music teacher back in 1957 when I was 12. I asked him how mandolin is played standing. His answer was simply "The mandolin is not played standing, only sitting". If you have this amount of control, why not?
sevensami Your music teacher obviously didn’t listen to Bluegrass. Bill Monroe and others were playing mandolin standing up way before 1957.

la grandezza di uno strumento non si misura per ottave
Andrea Breda io sono violinista suono anche la chitarra e ti garantisco che il mandolino è più difficile del violino e della chitarra fidati!....il mandolino è difficile sia per la mano sinistra che per la mano destra tantissimo quindi prima di parlare forse è meglio studiare e constatare le cose...un saluto!

Andrea Breda vai al minuto 6:33 e ascolta a quanta difficoltà si devono eseguire le quartine che col violino e più facile tanto meno che per la chitarra. ...per me secondo la modesta esperienza il mandolino è forse lo strumento più arguto e difficile. ..
Sì è vero, il mandolino è molto difficile, soprattutto quando si devono suonare contemporaneamente più note su corde contigue, perché solitamente non c'è spazio per le dita, come succede proprio nel primo movimento di questo concerto nelle battute 5-8.
