Land Rovers Off Road vs Pipeline @ Lithgow

- Опубліковано 2 жов 2024
- We head to Lithgow to do some challenging 4wdriving at the Pipeline track aka Hills to No Where. This time we have 4 Land Rovers on the 4x4 Trip. A Land Rover 110, 2xLand Rover Defenders 110. A Land Rover Discovery 2a.
The Land Rover 110 County is powered by an Isuzu 4bd1-t which was a standard factory variant in Australia.
The Land Rover Defender 110 Puma is rear locked (new upgrades and mods are underway, be sure to subscribe to the channel to see it perform once these mods are finished.)
While the Land Rover Defender TD5 Extreme had problems with traction control and it was not operational on the day.
The Land Rover Discovery 2a TD5 had a first timer at the helm. He did great and was learning to drive off road and use traction control throughout the day however he felt uncomfortable to drive the final section of the Pipeline track so I drove it through that section for him.
The Discovery 2a TD5 was unable to get over the main step without tow assistance from its bigger sibling the TD5 Defender however this was not filmed :-(

Any chance you could tell me the paint colour/code of the County? Looks great, cheers!
Great example of lockers vs traction control vs open diffs.
nigelsim18 Yes it is. Thanks for taking the time to drop us a comment 👍
There is something weird by the front axle suspension on the D2. There is no articulation even compared to stock settings. Maybe too hard springs or short shocks, dont you think?
The green Defender is Powered by Isuzu Engine very Torquey and unstoppable
Great vid like always. Wich car you like more for off road, the disco 1 with the V8 or the 110 with the Tdi?
Raymond Logister Thanks for watching and following our channel. I couldn't say which i like more off road both fun in their own way. Initially one was going to be a tourer and one a play truck, however i am confused which is which 😂
I think the tdi is easier to drive. More torque with less rpm. but the disco is shorter, which also has advantages (100 inches).
But have a lot of fun with both cars. But you will succeed.
Nice one lads...👍👍👍
Alex Patea Thanks for watching and commenting. Glad you enjoyed it 👍
Great flick.....did the green 110 have lockers?????........looks like a great trip
MrMan Yeah its twin locked. Running a detroit auto in the rear and an ashlocker in the front. Here is the video of the first test when the ashlocker was installed ua-cam.com/video/FdRYeBOA-Cg/v-deo.html
It's an old video by now but, just found your channel & with drives like these had to sub! Great video, thanks for taking us along on your journeys.
Thanks for watching and hope you continue to enjoy our adventures
No pain no gain...no lock (diff) no gain !😁
Good stuff!
axe well Thanks, glad you liked it.
Awesome video, looks like a fun day. The green 110 just walks everything.
Rover Lord County power 💪
Nice one Matthew, its literally like a driveway 😂😂😂
Evo Ate I laughed at that also 😂

StefandChinos Vlogs Thanks for watching. Glad you liked it 👍
2022 and back for a re viewing.
Cheers cobber.
You guys rock. Love the channel. The D2 did really well considering he hasn't been bush before.
Glen Davis Thanks for watching and following us 👍
man does that look like fun!!!!!!!! great video!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi where is this please. .
Maybe the red one should learn how to use a lock before going on YT? Just my opinion anyways
looks like only first one got lockers
pj pj Good observation the first one is twin locked while the black Puma is rear locked soon to be twin. The other 2 are open diffs.
pj pj defo can't beat lockers
The videos just seem to get better and better. Keep up the good work fellas.
John Smith Thanks for the great feedback 👍
For me , puma is the best 😍
The red defender looks pretty nice, anybody know anything about it?
Sean Young One careful lady owner with full service history. Never taken off-road.
Ahh very nice. He's a bit of an odd looking lady though, and that's not your average driveway?
I'll take your word for it though
Luv’n the Land Rovers.....!!! 👍😊
The green Land Cruiser is the boss.
Très belle vidéo, comme d'hab! Bravo!
That was a great run, thanks a lot guys! Cant wait for next time
Rami Al-Saifi Welcome mate, glad you enjoyed the experience. You did really well for a first timer. You have a good rig there.
Thanks for the video mate. That's a beautiful county. Don't suppose there is a build thread or more info on aulro forum?
Yanna316 No build thread there for it. Its still a work in progress. Hopefully the next time out she will be on 35s. Still got some fiddling to get them to work. Your welcome to ask if you'd like to know anything specific.
LROR Land Rovers Off Road A set of 35s would be quite nice, looking foreword to seeing them on in the future. I'd love to know the details of your current suspension setup as it seems like it flexes superbly and is bump stopped correctly.
Yanna316 Its going to take a bit of work to get the 35s to work, but i think it will be worth it especially to lift that Salisbury rear a little more. Its running 90mm Dobinsons variable rate custom coils with superior engineering shocks. Narrow radius arms in wide housing and currie jointed trailing arms.
LROR Land Rovers Off Road Have you thought about trimming the rear diff a little? I have seen some people pull it off successfully and gain almost an inch. So you're running a 3.5inch lift with 33s I assume?
Yanna316 A little over 3.5 closer to 4inch. I have replaced the tin cover with a cast one and shaved the diff already. Gained about 20mm but more diff clearance is always welcome.
awesome video! congrulations
+FoxLR 1602 Glad you enjoyed it 👍
First time for the D2 to do Pipeline?
creepy crawler It was his first time out off road. Brave guy to do pipeline on his first trip out.
It wasnt just first time Pipeline but also first time off road. The guys were great and very helpful, learnt a lot. Highly recommend it for anyone that's thinking of coming out
That,s awesome, I agree with LROR's comment you're brave to try it on your first time lol what mods have you done?
Lol thanks, the guys were very helpful which made it so much easier.. just 2inch lift and tyres
Does the D2 have CDL?
yes has factory fitted CDL
+Max Eriksson The D2 facelift (d2a) all had cdl installed from factory.
