At idle, sounds like the 413 I used to have in my 68 Super Bee. The 413 had solid lifters & a gear drive timing setup. This would be ideal for a 1970 Cuda with a 4 speed.
I love first Gen. Hemis, they are so well suited to a rod built to the early 60’s era. One thing I must be missing here, I can’t see any crank case breather, how would you add oil?
The engine is still here, not sure where the guy is that bought it but it's a pain in the ass and has to go along with the model A hotrod. What platform do you all think best to sell all this junk on? Used eBay but not impressed. I also have the K member for a B body hemi that goes with it plus original parts replaced when rebuilt.
Some ass-wipe bought it and abandoned it, still where you see. How the hell did this video get back out a year later? Still a great motor but now what?
@@stevenbean9706 Do what ? The 318 and 360 are LA engines derived from the 318 Poly ( and FirePower Chryslers ) . Many parts from the LA engines interchange with the FirePower engines. The water pump of choice for these is BB Chevy , slight offset in mounting and flow. Transmission mounting is close to modern small block Torqueflite and GM.
I want to build one but rather buy one done. Do you remember some specs? Stock CR was 10 to 1. Cam sounds choppy which is great. How far over bore is acceptable 30 60?
Throwing money into an engine like this without checking first if it would fit defies logic. Put you in the poor house it could or get the wife pissed at the waste of time and money
This just pops one a yr for some reason, just to clarify I had the basket case motor long before the model A. I had planned another 1 ton dodge truck project but the A happened first. Has a 75 1 ton 4x4 and it was a beast. Model A would have worked but too much work and parts to do it right, flathead 8 not so much.
That's true, the 351 Cleveland is a legendary Top Fuel engine that propels cars down the quarter mile at well over 300mph. Truly the best of the best. Oh wait, that's the Hemi.
Super nice and desirable Gen One HEMI! Nice sounding cam.
Great engine. I had a 392 in parts but never got around to putting it together. Best Wishes from an old MOPAR guy.

I wish I had the money!!!! Sounds awesome Sir!!!!
Perhaps the 'Nick's Garage' channel could point you an a direction.
Update on hemi, I gave the guy that bought it an ultimatum he couldn't avoid and he finally got it picked up.
Problem over, engine gone.
How much is it?
I have a 67Plymouth I would love to put that in. What does it take to hook a guy up?
What's the price ?
What are the cam specs?
I just realize you started up without exhaust ❓
It has factory exhaust manifolds on it. Visible in the first 10 seconds or so.
Some ass-wipe bought it and abandoned it, still where you see.

Music 🎉
A little big for the model A.
Remove your hood side pans ! It hangs out but that's cool, adds to the legend.
How much money ❓ 🤔
What is your price?
You don't put bow tie junk on a hemi.
So sad to see chevy parts on a classic hemi. 😢
My god. Could you be any whinier? Won’t you go buy it and then fix it if it’s such a problem
Too bad mopar bought the rights to use chevys small block design and thats what your 318 and 360 are today all based on chevys small block

Actually the Chevy water pump is a nice upgrade. Pushes the water very well, and the aluminum version is much lighter than the original Mopar piece
And how much
That's a video I made for ebay to sell the motor which I did a few weeks ago for 5600.
@@49walker44 I really love the way you have it set up. I wonder if original owner still has it?

Best engine ever.
Sell this hemi for beer money
