Great intro Robbo! I'm intrigued to know how you made the digital map... I’ve looked for something that will do this and only found the relive app, which you had to have recorded and travelled to actually get a map like that. Are you a GIS professional by any chance? Also, keen to know if you'll be vlogging along the way, or editing when you get home. Your production quality is awesome... but I suspect it'll go down a little bit if you're planning to edit while you're enroute? Enjoy the planning, thats half the fun. Let's hope you dont get stymied a month out as I did this year 🤞
I will be vlogging along the way. I refuse to let quality to go down hill :-) I am not a GIS pro, just a map nerd (I actually dropped out of a cartography degree in the early 1990s). I am using After Effects with a plug-in called Geolayers 2. It isn’t cheap and you need to be fairly familiar with After Effects.

I know how much I don’t feel like looking at my phone (which i use to capture, edit and post) for an hour or more at the end of a long day's paddle, camp set up, and dinner... which is why I'm so behind on my own editing at the moment. Therefore, I really am looking forward to following your journey and i will have something to live up to! Of course, I'll also completely understand why, if you find keeping up with that commitment as well as doing a thru paddle is just a bit too much, the awesomeness if your videos is only 90% 😉 Also, thanks. I'm completely unfamiliar with After Effect, so I'll just appreciate your beautiful intro for what I might have had... but won't 😉

Hi. Thanks… there are plenty of hours of video in the series to watch. Enjoy. I used Adobe After Effects with the GeoLayers2 plugin.
