Me too actually. Apparently something on his car failed which is why his team couldn't get a 1L fuel sample which is just heartbreaking
I think the thing to take away is that he is back, gaining in confidence and with a team that truly appreciates him.

Seb is just a natural teacher. I see him as a person who would take the class of his kids to a racing track and learn the whole class about safety first and then about how to drive a one.
I don't know how these drivers survive wearing all the safety kit in very high temperatures, plus the physical exertion. Superhuman indeed.
I think they lose around 3kg in body weight due to heat each race. Phenomenal athletes. Superhuman is certainly the right word for it.
@@hishamhilal8332 And they can also face around 2-7gs (or more) which is already big, Sometimes they could even reach g forces to that Fighter jets. In crashes they can go 30gs+
@@darkox4172, I think max. is 6Gs for example in Magots & Becketts but 7 is a bit too much

it's often hard to watch sports because you know about the abhorrent views or behaviors of a lot of the athletes, but seb is that rare one that you're genuinely fond of. i teared up with his actions at the hungaroring because, for once, i felt truly represented and seen, and not pandered to or ignored. he's a magnificent person and i'm grateful for him.

It really is impressive how advanced F1 safety gear is. What we have seen and used at amateur motorsport don't even come remotely close. Hans device is a feature I do love very much, such an elegant solution to protect driver from that nasty front hit.

I have to adjust something, after Romain Grosjean's crash the only visible impact that this crash had to his body was the stitches and the burns on his hands (cause the gloves came out) and one of his shoes came out off during the exit from the flames. Formula 1 has improved the safety a lot the last years (of course with the contribution of Niki Lauda) but if we can improve something to offer safer racing, we can change those two things that seem to have an impact on him, so no other driver is going to have the same problems. Beyond all that, amazing video Aston Martin, keep going and many more podiums and wins will come

Also: It’s interesting to read the comments supporting Seb (which I’m not arguing about!) after seeing a race from 2018 with soooo many Seb-haters. I’m sure some of it is him maturing over time, and people recognizing that he’s been a pretty good bloke all in all, just a fiercely competitive one.

Thanks Champ!. The gloves and feet,,I hope they really went to the boards and made some safer ones. Had some buddies take a hot fire in Drag Racing. Fully enveloped,,at 230mph. Same thing,,hands and feet always take a bit or alot of fire trauma. Even with the new Top Fuel safety kit. Congrats on your 2nd place!!, you earned it!!. A stellar drive!! Don't need a piece of shiny kit to know that.

I always imagined every driver bringing quite a few helmets to each race weekend but then again that's a lot of work for the helmet designers!
They do have multiple helmets per race...for example Lewis Hamilton has has a few for FP1, FP2, FP3, Qualifying, and the GP itself. There's always a technician on staff for each of the helmet brands.
@@dimsuminab0x I know that but I thought they just like used them once and got rid of them but it says they 'use' 10-15, meaning that they use the same helmet multiple times which suprised me tbh.
Nico Rosberg said his gloves are as per his specification which has clean grip of steering, something that later lewis also asked.
Just simple see Seb watch 💚, absolutely gutted for you Seb not having what is so rightly deservedly yours P2 overturned but you'll come back stronger as always, 💚
