Yes, it'll work fine.

NFC is just for setup. You don't need a WiFi internet connection but you connect the QX10 to the phone using WiFi-direct.

Does it work outside the house? When you'r not connected to Wi-Fi.

It uses WiFi direct so you connect to IT over WiFi, so yes it works anywhere.
