Micro Finesse Game Changer - A small fly that BIG FISH cannot resist !

  • Small fish, big fish, territorial fish, or pressured fish, this little fly will trigger SOMETHING in every fish you encounter.
Such a valuable tool to have in your box when all other options have been depleted. Think of this as a streamer/nymph hybrid. A fly where the two realms overlap. Very fun to fish when the water is low and clear, the fish are pressured, and nothing else is working. If they don’t eat this, you might as well wrap it up for the day.
Most people would be shocked at how small the majority of minnows are. The smaller the minnow, the slower they swim. Thus, the easier they are to eat. That’s the idea with this fly. It doesn’t totally discriminate on size, but I will say, be prepared to catch mostly small fish with this one. They will pounce on it and inhale it without skipping a beat. Typically you’ll get big numbers, but on the small side usually. Every now and then, though, a full sized fish will inhale it.
This is not a fly I would start the day with, but one I would save until desperation kicks in.
Works for trout, smallmouth bass, panfish, and steelhead. Also doubles as a great salmon parr fly, especially swung in the spring months when targeting trout and steelhead in the Midwest.
Also a killer for snook around dock lights in Florida and the Keys. I’m sure there are other applications I can’t think of right now. If you think of one, let me know in the comments !

Old saying, "Actions Speak Loader than Words". Thank you for not overwhelming us with a lot of verbiage. I like you style of tying.

Grammar is important bro. Less time on you tube more time hitting the books.

I've viewed at least a dozen "Game Changer" variations from different tyers, and must say this is my favorite. >>>>--->>🎯

Well tied! No need to keel this fly with lead?

Thank you! Hook is kinda small for a keel, but you certainly could. Just use a thin diameter lead wire. But I personally don’t have a problem with these changers briefly swimming sideways. Looks more distressed and erratic. I keel most of my bigger changers tho.

I don’t, I haven’t uploaded in quite some time. We recently moved AND and a newborn son about a month ago, so I’ve had a lot on my plate, but yea I plan to at some point. Thanks for watching.

Nice fly! It’s too bad your microphone failed to work ☹️

Thanks! The mic was working, but I intentionally dont bog down the videos with excessive dialogue. Just the sound of the scissor blades slicing stuff. Thanks for watching.
