Joyful , Fun , Exciting , Masterful , I am starting to learn Violin at the age of 68 . I Loved the Some Where over the Rainbow , in the the Flow . That's thinking on your Feet .
I love this video, so much talent from girls and mama and papa, dark haired one looks like her mama and lighter haired one like her papa. god know you are so proud of your daughters. please more videos.
WOW! This performance was stunning. What talent! Orange Blossom Special is one of my favorites and this version brought tears and laughs out of me. I will be re-watching this many times. Oh and I am a rock n roll type, The Cure, Led Zepplin, Distrubed.
Not only is the music awesome and SO well done, watch how she totally communicates everything with just a small movement or two of her eyes. Now that's a subtle little treat to watch that you don't see anywhere else! These girls are fantastic!
Their lives have continued along a musical path and though I have not heard a thing about them since the Covid thing began I think they will next appear somewhere in Nashville still making music. Thanks for your thoughts and support!
HOOO-AH!....new year's day...searchin' banjo-mando-uke music...stumbled across this....cranked my 'puter sound system to max and listened to these awesome kids twice....hangover cured ;o)) .....headin' out to p/u another bottle of champagne and listen to more of the bistodeau family...hope they do zydeco, too..... arrrrrrrrr
Such an amazing performance of Orange Blossom Special. And to think, Sedra Bitodeau is on her way to being a world-class violinist, and here shows her mastery playing bluegrass fiddle. Love it.
I just saw this for the first time... I have to say after observing the connection these two displayed, I just experienced the closest thing to a spiritual event I have ever seen. true story.
This performance is a genuine and enduring treasure. Seven years after I first found it, I still crack an involuntary grin each time I listen. Their later postings only enhance the joy.
Two sisters and both so good! The best (and most beautiful) Orange Blossom Special! Have Deena seen with Mustang Sally in Zurich! But once Deena and Sedra see with Mustang Sally, that would certainly be Terrific!
Hi Ted! Last I knew before this Covid thing changed everybody's world all around These Lovely Ladies could be found playing a number of different night spots in the Nashville area. I expect they will be there for awhile.
I, too, keep coming back to this one. Love it! I share it with my two fiddling granddaughter sisters. Hope it takes with them. They are bit more on the classical side.....
+boffintech ....good tip.....and there are fabulous ones on other Utube sites....but there's a certain magic as the girls try and out-do each other......plus the two fiddle sound, makes me always come back to this one.....
A couple dozen of those views are mine - I keep coming back to this one for the sheer pleasure of it, a real 'moment.' The fluidity, articulation, dynamic expressiveness, sheer exuberance of this performance are sublime. (Cute as bug's ears too.) I'll be watching these girls for many years to come. And let's not forget that utterly smooth, steady rhythm section - transparent except when you choose to focus on them. Mom and Dad show us the tree these good apples fell from. Proud of you all.
THANKS For the comments :) They are indeed a very special family band and I was fortunate to have captured this video for the whole world to see and share :)
Thank you! You folks do the most exciting and beguiling version of this tune since Richard Green played this with Seatrain almost a half century ago. I'd say you carry it to brand new heights. Most impressive and pleasing to the ears is your voicing -- working out parallel parts instead of playing in unison for the chorus. Amazing and wonderful!
I was watching a Charlie Daniels video and before it ended I noticed this video off to the side in the 'related' video column. I like this version much more than the Charlie Daniels version. I've already watched it 3 or 4 times in a row now. LOL I'm happy to hear they won the contest. Congrats to them!
I have heard tens of versions of Orange Blossom Special and this one is outstanding.
