  • Hi everyone! I hope you enjoy this bar necklace, there are several techniques in this tutorial. I give some sound ways to catch the stones but then also some ways about weaving... how to tie off hammered bare wire to the weave, etc. I might have missed an edit or two, just pardon me if I did... :D You can see my bloopers maybe. I'd watch this first, then perhaps get your bench and gemstones ready with a felt pad under you so that if you drop them, they won't bounce off your table. Have fun!
Here's the link to Part 2 when it's ready • Wire Weaving : Channel...
I am using 18 gauge, round soft wire and two pieces of 20 gauge, round, soft wire, all 8 inches long.
I am using 6 feet in total, of 28 gauge, weaving wire.
The gemstones are a round, 6mm round Citrine and an Oval Chalcedony, 12mm x 8mm

I love the design of this pendant, I've never seen one put together this way. Nice to know I'm not the only one who drops those little stones over and over, but mine end up on the floor or under the couch 😄

Yes, that's why I was saying in the video to use a felt pad under your hands... I should have had one and in the next video I will. If you have to vacuum for them, put a little nylon stocking over the hose end so you don't suck up the gemstone but it catches in the stocking net. I use some old Leggs hose. ;)

@Perfectly Twisted Jewelry I'd be afraid to vacuum, I get on my 59-year-old hands and knees, mini flash light in one hand and a long plastic back scratcher in the other. It's quite hilarious I'm sure 🤣

Maybe get a ring clamp mama to hold those wires in place! It would be good for your magic hands 👐🏼🤗

I recently got 2 pairs of haemostat forceps which are self lockable. They are amazing, and once you lock them you can't get those wires to move! I got a straight and a bent pair and I recommend them for holding wires to wrap.

Yes, they do but I've been taking vitamin D3 for the past few months and it's helped 100 percent! Made all the difference. Thank you! Much love!
