I found pulling at a tick will tear it’s head clean off and leave a horse ( or dog) open to horrible infections. Ticks however need to breathe. Covering the tick with oil will ‘drown’ the tick, so when it releases itself to take a breath… THEN is the best time to remove it! There’s also special tools for removing ticks as well (Learned that in Vet school) 😉
What a fantastic day. 1 Year with my horse and I've never looked. This makes me want to drive right back to the barn. Damn! You're so funny!
You are hilarious! And helpful too.
Idea: Could you please do a video on how to tell if someone is secretly a centaur?
Essentially, if a person relates to Equines better than with Humans… they may be a Centaur 😏
@@chrismayer3919 That sounds like one of my neighbors. SHE is probably a centaur!
Yikes! You should change this because the HEAD of the tick has to be careful pulled off with twissors and the tick needs to be inspected all the head came off and then carefully disposed of!!
you can buy a plastic tick remover
That’s why when they start to go out I use a lemon bar everywhere and when I mean everywhere (the product I use is safe for delicate areas. When you a one-eyed horse i use an O’toms tick twist or a silicone tipped tweezers they are fairly inexpensive.
